Away from it all and oh so charming and savvy, Cosmic Cabin is a stylish, light filled, private retreat tucked away in a serene, forested setting close to Anchor Bay Beach! This designer decorated A-Frame home, with loft, offers beautiful views of the redwood forest. You can easily step out to the large deck and breathe in that fresh air or take advantage of hiking over acres of unspoiled, pristine trails. Explore the spectacular Californian coast by day and curl up on the sofa with your loved one each night. When you build up an appetite, prepare delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoy sipping wine on the deck to the sound of chirping crickets.

THINGS TO KNOW

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect location! The home is very private and has a deck and fenced backyard which was ideal for my dog. It is just a few minutes from several dog friendly, very good restaurants!

Great little spot to stay that’s close to the beach and town. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice view of the redwoods. Small but nice for the price. It had pretty much all the amenities needed for 2-3 people. The only complaint we had was the only bed was pretty small for two people being a full and it was not very comfortable. A queen or king more firm memory foam mattress would be awesome and really dial in this awesome little cabin.

We love this property. Very clean and packed with all our needs. We never had to leave to purchase extras. The home is equipped with everything. The outside yard is not prepped for outdoor eating, though that would be a plus if the owners are looking to add more interest. Overall it was magical. I would encourage visitors to scope out restaurants ahead of time. Not a lot to pick from. Enjoyed shopping at the SURF market. Equipped with many organic foods and products.

Great location, simple cabin, with all the amenities we needed. There isn't a dishwasher and only one full-size bed. But otherwise, it was incredibly beautiful, cozy, and clean. Warm enough. I would def stay there again.

This is a special place to stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the city…this is the vacation cabin for you. We stayed two nights in this quiet cabin. Cooking and staring out into the forest in the back yard through the floor to ceiling windows. Great Wi-Fi, Large TV, Professionally cleaned, Strong Shower, and all the cooking utensils you will need. There’s a couple grocery stores in town to get some supplies. Multiple beaches near by to get your ocean views. Don’t miss out on this place. We highly recommend it.

Great location, barking seals can be heard. Some Hwy noise...but location is a great plus. House nice and comfy. Kitchen could use knobs on drawers-cabinets...hard to open. Little more housekeeping, cobwebs, sweeping decks, but Redwood trees always messy, but very minor. Clarify door closing directions. Must hold Schlage bottom and turn knob at the same time to lock the door. New listing ? Winter time might be cold in the unit ?....electric heaters. Certainly enjoyed my time here. Your staff was great on checking in with me during our stay via text, nice to see this. John

We absolutely loved our stay here. The only problem we had was that is was extremely cold when we arrived. There is no central heating, only two space heaters and a small floor heater in the upstairs bedroom. The heaters eventually warned up the place after about 10 hours. I called Vacasa and they were responsive and offered to bring out an additional space heater. Other than that, we loved the amazing windows, the convenient location, and the small fenced in yard. We definitely want to come back!

Great location and very peaceful. The home however is pretty bare bones. Minimal towels (only one small, thin towel per person for showering), no bath mat even though the shower is open so the floor gets wet, and not a ton of blankets for how cold it is. No microwave. Some things felt like they could have been better appointed - coffee beans, lotion, Kleenex etc would have been nice. It was just okay.

My stay at Cosmic Cabin was unforgettable! I've been to many vacation rentals around the world and this house and location was absolutely a dream come true. The house has a comfy, clean, modern, light tree house vibe and is just up the hill (walking distance) from Anchor Bay Beach. When you walk in the front door your eyes are immediately drawn to the floor to ceiling windows looking out to the forest, it was majestic and serine. The kitchen, dining room and living room all look out to that incredible view and there are 2 sliders leading out to the deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with nice quality cookware, utensils and everything you need to make incredible meaIs. I had planned not to cook much but the deck and views beckoned me to chill and enjoy the natural surroundings. It was nice to have coffee in the morning and walk around the yard listening to the birds and looking up at the Redwoods. The bedroom looks out into the tree tops and the bed and linens are so comfortable I ended up spending 1/2 the day just reading in bed. If you don't know much about Anchor Bay Beach I highly recommend checking it out. The cove on the northern end of the beach is spectacular and was an easy spot to take out my paddle board. The town of Anchor Bay has a cute market, Thai Restaurant and a cafe. I had cell service and good internet too which was nice. The owners created a retreat and put thought into all the details to make their guest have a memorable vacation. Even a great collection of interesting books. I'm already planning my next trip back to Cosmic Cabin!
