Last minute stay due to birth of first grandchild. Convenient to the hospital and reasonably priced. Breakfast is made to order and the service and food were great. Felt safe and didn't have any issues with the room.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. You will be better off staying in a tent in a public park. It was parent’s weekend at IU and of course, I was price gouged and ended up paying 2 x what the room is worth. I expected a much better and polished experience for the additional amount I paid. This hotel is a complete disaster. 1. The hotel has an overall stench. It spells like gasoline and a chemical agent. It permeates the hallways and rooms. 2. Despite saying they offered it, they don’t provide maid service. When I inquired about it after being away from my room for 8 hours the front desk person said they may get around to it. They never got around to it on a two-night stay. 3. The bathtub did not drain. At all. When I told the front desk at 8am when I returned at 5pm in the afternoon the tub was still full. When I inquired at the front desk they had no record of my maintenance request. They said the morning person with whom I made my request never wrote down the request even though they had a maintenance person on site that day. Service isn’t really something they believe in. I cannot reiterate enough - do not stay at this hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our stay even if for just one night. We were there as part of a sporting event at IU so the proximity to the campus was awesome and Bloomington is a real college town! The room was nice, clean and the A/C worked well! Most importantly I appreciated the late checkout we requested due to a volleyball match that night and a late flight home. There were a few things that I feel need to be checked. First, when we bringing in our luggage to the second floor there was a very distinct rancid smell, almost like someone had thrown up in the hallway. It was not pleasant. In addition, some of the hotel fixtures like the elevator floor, the buttons and the door, were very dirty and did not look cleaned in awhile. Finally, the hotel entrance is also very confusing and the hotel looks like it is attached to the Comfort Suites.

Bathroom door didn't latch. Thermostat controller broken. Food waste and old toothpaste cap stuck in wash basin drain with no stopper and clogged up. No room service to change towels though we stayed three nights. No bathing soap.

Holiday Inn my go to and this one was good but could be better for the cost. Young guy at the desk was very helpful and upbeat. It is the n a convenient location.

Decent option when my usual hotel is booked however the entire facility needs a solid deep clean. The rooms are decent aside from the dirty carpet but the hallways and common areas are dated and dirty. The best thing I can say is that the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating.

Check in was quick and easy. I had booked through Expedia to get a good rate for 2 nights stay. We were visiting family that lived nearby, making it easy to see all of them. There was a shortage of maids, so we didn't get our trash emptied. But that would not prevent me from staying there again.

We walked into our assigned room to find the bed not made and stuff all over the bathroom floor, and it smelled. Got assigned a new room and the TV did not work or the lamp. Room and hotel seemed dirty/smelly overall. Staff was very nice and friendly. Location was convenient but didn’t seem like a nice area.

This was by far the worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed in! Needs major renovations!! The hallways smelled mushy. There was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain, the faucet in the shower was coming off the wall along with the shower curtain! The advertising of the facility said there was laundry accommodations and when asking the front desk where the laundry was we were told there was not laundry accommodations and the advertising is incorrect! Never staying at a holiday Inn again!! Our next night we stayed elsewhere!!

One towel was dirty but had others to use. There didn't seem to be any bath soap. The front desk personnel was professional and friendly. It was an older property but seem to be clean and well kept. The widow shades did not close all the way. I was on the 3rd floor so not to big of an issue but if other rooms had this problem on lower floors, it is unacceptable. I used the ice container to close the curtains completely. I will probably stay here again. These are minor issues that can be corrected easily.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It's older and in need of renovations, but all factors that were within the control of the hotel were excellent. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed that when my daughter left her Sony headphones in the room and we called after checkout, the staff checked the room, found them, called us back right away, and set them aside for us to pick up. Great job, Holiday Inn. We will be back and recommend this hotel others.

The carpets in the halls and room was filthy, there was no hot water in the bathroom sink but there was in the shower. Cobwebs on the curtains and corners. The bedding and towels were clean at least. Upon checking out, waited at the counter for 10 minites before anyone knew I was there. We have stayed here before and was very disappointed how run down it seems now.

Holiday Inn express usually has a pleasant, varied hot breakfast. This one had all breakfast foods in the refrigerator. It was serve yourself. No scrambled eggs or bacon or sausage or biscuits or gravy. Staff said they hadn’t had breakfast since Covid but this is 2024 and we are beyond Covid now. Clean property. I got the feeling that staff was college interns in the hospitality degree area. They are polite and courteous, but don’t know the usual facts that staff should know. I would not stay here again.
