Great stay

Property was clean and tidy. Nice interior. Bedrooms were big and comfortable. Overall a very nice property for a fair rate. A little far from the French Quarter and other touristy areas, but we mainly walked. If you're driving it isn't too bad. Lots of nearby businesses and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Overall a good place to stay

Due to the Tornado that hit Houston, we didn't get to go to New Orleans. We didn't stay at the home. But the communication with the property was good. She responded quickly to all my questions. This was all we could rate.

i loved all of it also the only downside was the parking and getting on to the road but that cannot be helped i guess i loved it all the feel was so homey

It has an amazing location. A very clean property with a bunch of exceptional eateries within walking distance. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

The property was great for what I needed it to be. It turned out to be centrally located to the places I wanted to attend. The host was phenomenal. We arrived early and was able to get right in the house without any issues. If we ever in New Orleans again I would definitely come back if available.

Genesis was a great host! Communication was top notch the entire time from the start of the booking to check out! Property is in a central location that’s easy to access!! Keep in mind that there is quite a bit of traffic on the main road all night, but that’s much of New Orleans. Overall it was a nicely appointed house, clean, & close to 2 grocery stores. Our stay was short so we didn’t get the full experience, but I would likely stay there again if needed.

It was a nice little home. It definitely had a Louisiana feel. Check in was easy and the host responded pretty quickly to my questions

A shotgun-style home with one bathroom in the back of the house, it may not have the privacy all crave - but it's clean and well kept and a great find for the right group. Bonus that it's a block away from the magical Hansen's Sno blz!

The house was clean and tidy upon arrival. Check in was smooth, no trouble at all. Love the area the house is located in. There’s so much to do and lots of yummy eats only minutes away. The only con is there’s a pub at the corner so the music was loud at night. Genesis was a wonderful host who responded immediately. Thank you for being such an amazing host!

Genesis has been amazing at communicating with me throughout the whole process. She gave me all of the information I needed and was readily available in case I needed anything! The room was decorated nicely, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The little patio was adorable and allowed us to enjoy some time outside on the beautiful days while we were visiting! I highly recommend staying here! We had the very best time and we’re thankful for the nice accommodations while we came to celebrate our cousin’s wedding.

This was a good experience overall. Genesis was hospitable and quick to reply with any questions.
One thing was that we didn't know was that the rooms are all connected with no hall. No a huge issue. Apparently thats an old design feature from decades ago. Which does give it a bit more charm, but was kind of annoying going through people's rooms to the bathroom. Still a great inexpensive spot close to lots of things.
One last thing is that the kitchen needed a lot of little appliances and the bathroom needed more places to hang things/store things.

I stayed at the property over Thanksgiving holiday (4 days) with my family (wife and 3 kids).
The home is very nicely upgraded and clean. The host is amazingly friendly and super responsive. She really cares about your experience at her property.
The neighborhood is undergoing gentrification and felt safe. Very close to Audobon park, which is a home to Tulane Univ. and some really upscale houses and areas. The house is on a very busy main street, though, and can be a bit noise on a working day.
Before your book, do yourself a favor and look up on Wikepedia - "SHOTGUN HOUSE". These houses originated in NOLA. Unless you live in the Northeast or England in a row house, you will be surprised by the set up. Basically, the rooms are in a row, starting from the kitchen in the front and the bathroom at the back. To go to the bathroom, you have to walk through every single bedroom, and there is no privacy. Also, the house is fairly small and the large beds take abut 60-70% of the entire bedroom.
In short, if you plan to party at NOLA or spend most of the day outside sightseeing, and you need a place to sleep and take a shower, this will be a fantastic option and you will love your stay.
If you need a "cozy" family vacation home and you are with kids, which need social and play space, this is not it!
On a rainy day, like we had on Thanksgiving day, you will feel claustrophobic.

We visited the home for Bayou Classic . It wasn’t too far from Bourbon Street and Canal . The house was clean , beds were comfortable. Only bad thing was that the house was straight through .

We has a "Guys Weekend" in the Big Easy. This place was great. Three bedrooms. Clean. Easy to access. Close to some great spots.

whenever you’re looking to visit a new state, a house & car is one of the most important parts.
deciding to travel to new orleans had me quite frightened because it was my first time in new orleans and also i never booked a house from vrbo before.
the second, i literally mean the second i click submit to book the house genesis texted me very excited to host me! the customer service was EXCELLENT. she texted me to check up with me like no other. i was telling my family “omg she’s no nice, and she’s staying in touch until we get there” lol, i just wasn’t use to someone so actually happy to host me, it normally seems after you pay the host, they don’t stay in touch until it’s time for you to check out. but that wasn’t the case for Genesis, you could tell she was truly happy to host! she answered any questions i may had and made sure i was as comfortable as possible.
the minor problems i had when i arrived was
(1.) i couldn’t get in with the pin i was provided, we kept trying the pin for atleast 5 minutes. so i called & was immediately helped in about 3 minutes. whenever i woke up i had a text from her explaining exactly what it was. (2.) we only had one roku remote which we had to use for all 3 tvs! it eventually worked out because we had the roku remote app on our phone. (3.) i wasn’t expecting the rooms to be a “vestibule” but eventually i realized it said that in the paragraph. i eventually grew to like it because it was so historical but so modern at the same time.

It was a great stay. The only thing that made it inconvenient was that there wasn’t any detergent to wash cloths, nothing to wash dishes. We was there for 4 days and didn’t have enough towels and no detergent to wash it with.

This was our s comd time on New Orleans last time we stayed in Gretna. This time we were on our way back home a picked this one out for a stop and we couldn't have been happier. It was small but just right for what we needed. The host was excellent with communication. It was clean and well kept. Thank you for the use of your home!

Our stay here was awesome. First time staying in an BNB, so I was a bit nervous of what to expect. The host did an excellent job staying in contact with me through out the entire process, right up to very point of checking out. The house was spacious and clean and in prime location. Will definitely be staying there again

House was pretty nice. It seems to be in a decent location, but initially it didn't feel that way driving in. The house is relatively close to everything we wanted to do, so that was cool.
House is 3 bedroom 1 bath. The bathroom is at the back of the house, so you need to walk through all 3 bedrooms to get to it. Wasnt an big issue, but we didn't know it was a 1 bathroom house and it made it a little inconvenient with kids sleeping.
The kitchen/ family room is small, but we were able to make it work with some fold out chairs that were there.
All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay and would stay there again if we came back!
Little tip if you're heading to NOLA, this area of town seems to shut down between 9-10pm even on the weekends. So plan ahead for food!
Thanks!

My family stayed in this property for a Spring Break visit to New Orleans. The property is well-maintained and comfortable. The host was quick to help with one issue we had and was always attentive to our needs. The property faces a very busy road, so there is a lot of noise in the front room, but we were not disturbed through the night. We would absolutely stay at this property again! Thank you, Genesis!

Magazine street is close which is a fantastic area to visit. Close to the zoo and downtown. Very public transportation friendly and economical for Lyfts/Uber. Had a blast. Would stay again.
