Awesome time! The house had plenty of room for the whole family and friends. We were looking for something that fit all age groups and where we wouldnt be always right on top of eachother. This place had a fun vibe and plenty for the kids as well as enough space for adults to spread out when needed. The kids loved the outside area as well as the inside. I did not have to hear "im bored" or "can we go do something" because there was plenty of room, and play stuff right there!! Yay! The beds were comfortable. The host was extreamly responsive as well!
I am definatly saving this on the top of my list for return trips!! Its perfect to come for holiday to gather or really any trip at all!!
The few minor "negatives" would be 2 of the reasons we booked (kayaks and princess room w/carraige bed) werent as described and the cushions on the outdoor furniture i guess always stay outside (so they were wet/ mildewy/ unusable) , but, removing cushions we could still use 'some' of the chairs, so those very minor things certainly werent enough to keep it from being a great experience as a whole.
The other room (boys room with teepee & leaf canopy) was another booking point for me and that was exactly as described which i was really looking forward to!! My 4 yr old has NEVER slept in a room by himself and he did for the first time here !!! He loved the room!! So, as previously said, l definatly want to book again when we return!!!

We needed to travel to the Newport News area for a family funeral on fairly short notice, and this provided the perfect amount of space for the 12 of us (6 adults and 6 kids) to stay in together. We were only about 20 minutes from our family across the bridge, which was great. We also drove up to Yorktown one day and could have easily done Williamsburg or the beaches as well. Loved that the house is in a quiet area and had wonderful outdoor space for the kids to explore and play. My husband and son enjoyed fishing at the pier across the St James.
The inside of the house could use some updates, but was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix meals. I would say that the bed/room configuration was challenging to navigate with 3 adult couples, as a couple of the beds were fairly small. Also note that one bedroom downstairs does not have a door. This worked fine for our preteen son, but may not be everyone's cup of tea! Also, the oven stopped heating properly on our second day, and the owner was very responsive in getting a technician out promptly.
Overall, this fit just what we needed for the weekend, and I would recommend it to others!

This place was so wonderful to stay at. Lots of room (everyone had their own bed - well, except hubby and I. The outside was such a contrast to the inside. You walk into a beautiful modern house. Clean and inviting.
You have the wonderful elements of nature outside (box turtles, crabs, and deer came for a visit), a seating area to relax outside, and a play area for the kids. There is also plenty of parking.
Abbi was an awesome hostess and answered all the questions I asked. She was great to work with.
I definitely will look into this place again if needed when we go to Virginia to visit our daughter.

This property was perfect for everything that you would want in a family vacation. We had 11 family members in the house and there was plenty of room. The main area was great for a breakfast we hosted for 18 people. The grounds were large with a playground for the children and outdoor seating for all. We could not ask for more.

Very comfortable house with large rooms and plenty of space throughout the home. The spaces in the main rooms provided plenty of space for our work meetings and allowed to work in small groups for discussions.
Definitely recommend this house for large numbered families or for off-site work related group meetings. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a quiet and peaceful residence to enjoy, this home in this quiet residential neighborhood would be a great one to consider.

The house was beautiful we had a wonderful stay

My family enjoyed our stay very much! The house was spacious and well stocked with anything you could need. The WiFi connection was very good. There were numerous items to keep the kids busy: trampoline, climbing structure, a basketball net, kayaks, etc. We would definitely plan on staying here if we vacation in Virginia again.
My only concern was there were a few items in the walls that weren’t attached securely. I worried that they may fall and we would be held responsible. There was also a hole in the wall from a doorknob that was there when arrived.

It was simply elegant nice ,clean, relaxing nobody bothered you. Located in a little secluded , but spacious area .Everybody enjoyed themselves. My family now have a home away from home in Virginia.
You must experience it to understand what I am just describing.
