Reviewer Comments:
Just enjoyed a week in this house with the extended family - 10 of us with enough space to keep everyone comfortable. As described in the post, the property is in a great location - a quiet street, 10 minute walk to beach or pier + midway, the grocery store two blocks away - and central to other points for exploring (Kennebunk, Portland, hiking trails, nature reserves, and lots of restaurants). The house was clean, the kitchen well-equipped for cooking big family meals. We also made good use of the BBQ without a hitch. The porch with surrounding mature trees is a lovely spot to enjoy a cool hour with a book.Liz and her staff were very helpful with the few things we needed.

There are always compromises with fixing up an old house, some things done nicely and others done poorly. Additional level of cleanliness is needed. Finishing of things not finished needed. If traveling in hot summer months, the room window air conditioners struggle to keep up and main level remains "warm". Overall no major problems, just could be better.

Had an awesome time at OOB. The house was large and had a great lawn and plenty of parking.
Walking distance to the beach.

We all had a nice time, my family liked location and convenient walk to groceries, beach and Pier
Only draw back was coffee pot wasn’t correct for the coffee maker, the first time we made coffee it didn’t end up in pot and their was no directions so we ended up driving to D&D in am, however it was no big deal and if that is the worst thing to happen on a vacation I would say we were lucky.
All and all a great time was had by all and the place was lovely

After our original vacation stay backed out on us the day we were due to start vacation, we were able to book a stay at this house and it was wonderful! We enjoyed the yard more than a Sandy beach as a backyard! The host was very responsive to all of our questions and got us into the house quickly! We will be back!

Girls weekend with seven women was a success. Five bedrooms and the air conditioning worked great. Plenty of parking and an easy ride or walk to the beach. (Which was packed!) Kitchen was good size and the manager got back to us about the size of the coffee pot and offered a large 18 cup size. The large kitchen table was perfect for meals, games and gathering. There were cute boxes with cleaning products, plenty of towels and a washer and dryer. The con's- there was a mouse in the house! We only saw it twice, but still a little shocking. The toilet, sink and shower downstairs was full of rusty water for the first hour we were there and we had to get creative when we realized we need a can opener.

The house was a good size. It was clean and ready for us. It would be nice if the owners would come in and take care of some details, getting some things around the house fixed. But it didn’t cause a problem with our stay.
I was very annoyed that there were no dish cloths, dish towels or hand towels for the bathrooms. We had to go out and buy some. There were also no extra sheets or pillow case covers. Those would be good for the extra air mattresses, and I’m not sure why they would provide pillows with no pillow cases. There were exactly two towels and two washcloths per room, and that was it.
Also, only 7 beach towels, not 14 as the listing says, and the walk to the beach is over 10 minutes. It wasn’t as close as I thought it would be, but still walking distance.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house worked great for our family. I hope the owners will fix some of these details for future occupants.

Located. Originally missing the check in code but had great responsiveness from the host to resolve things. Would recommend!

We’ve stayed at OOB houses in past years and have to say I was overall really happy with the house space/layout and location. Really great for big gatherings, never felt like we were on top of each other in the house. The ability to text (instead of call or an app) with questions/requests was awesome and convenient. They were quick to respond and definitely helpful!
Feedback:
Cleanliness - I think overall the home was generally clean but it felt like we were the first renters of the season or it had only received a generic “turnover” cleaning. Just felt like a good deep cleaning would be a plus for the floors.
AC- the listing said bedrooms upstairs have window AC units but only two bedrooms have them. There are window fans available but the miscommunication/wording was a disappointment (two girls in our group were very pregnant) and it was pretty hot one of the nights even with all bedroom doors open trying to disperse the AC. Just suggest updating the listing wording.
Bedroom space & general decor - renter feedback I think they could downsize & remove a lot of table decor or the oversized seating in each bedroom - it didn’t feel cluttered but just wanted to share it could be simplified to give more space :)
Overall we really were very happy with the stay and would definitely come back for the overall house + beds were very comfortable - just felt there were some minor areas for improvement that we wanted to share

A bed broke and no one responded to fix it. The sink disposal did not work, and the internet was down for a day and at other times it was slow and inconsistent.
