About this house rental

Spend your summer vacation building memories with your family just yards away from one of Maine's most beautiful beaches. This large and comfy cottage is perfectly located only yards away from the beach. If the beach is not your thing enjoy the day lounging on the front porch with a book, a breeze and a beautiful ocean view! You are only a short walk away from the Old Orchard Beach Pier featuring the Palace Playland amusement park and a wide variety of entertainment and restaurants. This 4 bedroom home sleeps maximum of 10 (1 king, 2 queen, 3 twin) and offers all the conveniences of home including a fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances including microwave, toaster oven and Keurig coffee maker, an outside grill, washer and dryer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Two full bathrooms include one with a tub for easy clean-up of young children. At night spend time laughing and making memories around the back-yard fire pit. Off-street parking for two cars, plus plenty of on-street parking. Do not miss the Thursday night fireworks from late June through the first week of September!

Sunday to Sunday rental schedule.

Renters are asked to bring their own linens and towels, and to leave the property in clean condition upon departure.

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed the location of this home very much! Short walk to the beach and you can see the ocean from the living room and sun room. Also a short walk to the Pier, restaurants, ice cream and shops. The place is a little run down... a door knob was missing off one bedroom door and some doors needed quite a bit of oomph to close. This was a problem for people who were sleeping as this provided quite a loud bang to get them to close. This was more problematic for people's sleep than the train near by. You clearly heard it but for us the fans or air conditioners provided in every room were helpful. Some windows would not stay open due to broken brackets. On days with lovely breezes this was somewhat of a problem. I would say this house is more comfortable for four due to the lack of space to put things. There is a lot of stuff/clutter on shelves around the house which was a problem. In the bedroom with the king bed, there just isn't enough space for two people, their stuff and their luggage. The king sized bed, though comfortable and what we needed, filled up too much of the bedroom with the other furniture in the room. The kitchen was ampley stocked but the table in the kitchen didn't fit 6 adults so we had to eat out on the sun porch which was not an issue other then the floors get marked up easily by the chairs that do not have appropriate padding on the bottom of the legs to prevent scratches on the floors. Though we did enjoy the sun porch!

Property had something for everyone. Beach for those who love it, porch for quiet reading, walking distance to Pier activities for the young ones and fire pit for those who like quiet times. House was roomy and perfect for our family of 8 ranging in age from 78 to 9.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is older but the owner maintains it very well. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and newer. The back yard is wonderful, the fire pit came in very handy. The owner is very nice and responds quickly. The location is minutes to the beach. We had a wonderful time!!!

We enjoyed the open floor plan. (large porch with plenty of seating for all 11 of us + a small table and chairs and 3 very comfortable fold out futons, huge living room , kitchen with ice/water making refrigerator, and deck with two small tables and chairs) Beds were comfortable. The yard is private. The fire pit was a nice bonus. Very close to the beach. A short walk to the pier. We were very happy with the house !

This house was nice and spacious. Has a private backyard with a firepit and grill. It's a 3 minute walk to the beach and several restaurants are in walking distance. Trash pick up twice a week was a plus. There is a train near the house that is required to blow its whistle at the crossings all day and night. Some of us got used to it and others did not. We had a great week!

This is our second year renting this property. We were not disappointed. The house is perfect. Close to the beach, fire pit, grill. The house is very inviting and you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Looking forward to vacation 2020.

We had three generations for a week and really enjoyed the home. The huge living room and connected kitchen made it great for the houseful of people to gather in one location. Proximity to the beach, convenience to variety store/prepared foods shop and just right distance from the center of OOB, makes this and ideal location. Great bathrooms. Limited space for hanging clothes but easy to make it work. Susan, the owner, was very responsive great to deal with.

Suzanne was so pleasant to communicate with... this place has space and location 5 kids 5 adults and never felt crowded the house has most anything you may want or need ..my family is attached to TV downtime we brought 3 roku TVs with us & used internet and we were all set ...most needed pots and pans were supplied but really could use a stock pot cooking 12 ears corn on cob was tricky but we did manage... parked the vehicles and walked to beach and Arcades only used vehicles to run to grocery stores A huge plus... definitely hope to return here again next summer!!! The house was wonderful and so close to the beach!! You feel comfortable & at home as soon as you enter, Everything was in excellent condition right down to the outside fire pit. I would recommend this property with no hesitation.

The house is spotlessly clean and everything is new and in great working order. It is roomy and very comfortable including the beds. The pictures do it no justice. The owners provided snacks and k-cups for coffee, also much was provided for toiletries, in case you forget anything and plenty of wood was provided to use the fire pit in the back yard. It is a 30 second walk to the beach with out having to cross any roads. Everything else Old Orchard Beach has to offer for both children and adults is within a ten minute walk down the beach or the sidewalk. This home is easy to get to, but it was very hard to leave. Every one in our family from 2 to 54 had a great time. We will hopefully return. I would give it more stars if I could!
