Location was the best. Easy to get to anywhere.
Tiny bathroom. But to be expected in old buildings.
5.0 / 5.0
Access to the hotel was really easy, codes were sent on time and contact with owner was with great ease. Quick response to questions. Fantastic location. The Hotel although a little dated was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The view from our room was just gorgeous of the lake and we got to watch Bunny rabbits running around on the lawns of the Belsfield. The room was comfortable for the three of us, The bathroom was obviously added into the building as to add the ensuite, so is small and dated but more than adequate for the facility of use. The kitchenette area is fantastic especially with having a young daughter with us, made it easy to prepare our own food and feed her in the hotel. Would highly recommend. The parking spots at the back of the hotel had ample space for three cars with ease.
Everything was great

Location is amazing, close to everything. The rooms was very clean and had every thing we needed
The 10am checkout is very early. The bathroom is very basic, aeroplane style.

The location
The bathroom door didn’t open very well causing me to cut my fingers.
The mattress was very hard and my husband developed a rash after the first night of staying in the room and we spent the first full day of our trip. Looking for medications from a chemist.
All 3 of us felt quite itchy during our stay in the room. Causing my husband to not want to relax in the room during our stay.
On arrival to the room the carpet was stained between the window and the bed which resembled someone’s vomit that hadn’t been cleaned properly.
Overall we didnt enjoy our stay at the property but the Lake District itself is a beautiful place and we will return but will be booking elsewhere.

Brilliant location and great value for money
No parking and the room was very hot even when we tried to turn the heating down

Incredibly located with a glorious view of the lake. Two very comfortable generously sized beds and lovely facilities. Contact and communication was perfect throughout.

Great that there is a common living room area for guests to hang out at.
Nice touch to have some muffins placed there as well.
Room(s) have some weird smell (that doesn't smell good).
Heater was not working, and the host was unable to fix it because she was "out of town", and her friend who supposedly was asked to come to fix did not manage to fix things. We are not sure if the friend actually even showed up because we didn't see anybody showing up to check and fix things.
The external view that we booked this apartment specially for, was actually not that spectacular either...

Lovely property
Stairs to the back door and rooms are quite steep. There is very limited parking.

Our stay was absolutely exceptional! The best room with THE best view over looking the lake. We had the best sleep for the 2 nights we stayed. Patricia was amazing throughout our experience! Thank you for a lovely stay and will definitely be in touch again! 10/10

Did not stay for breakfast
The breakfast was in the cafe next door and we could not wait for them to open.

Excellent location and a lovely small and cozy setup. Facilities were good and accessing the facility was well managed. Parking spot helped further and we were lucky in getting the parking slot available.
Bathroom was a bit too small however functional.

Easy access, great hosts, amazing location
The only thing I can say here was the water temperature in the shower kept going from scolding hot to freezing cold without me touching the thermostat

No breakfast offered
The doors had spring loaded closers which made a
bang every time a door closed. The shower had no tray
at the bottom,so on having a shower the whole bathroom
Floor was wet. No shower gell or shampoo.

Location. Nice property/decor
No human contact. Had to ask for access code. Late checkin 4pm. Early checkout 10am. Not great for one night stay. Overpriced.
I was told twice that breakfast was not included only to then be given vouchers for local cafe.
Problems with toilet flushing.

Location
Toilet blocked couldn’t be use , bed frame edge was higher then the mattress, which created at lip around the edge of the bed

Breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect for the town. One side of the bed had a dip in the middle of it. No hair dryer in the room however the host dropped on off to us very quickly! The plug sockets cut off quite frequently so we didn’t have any power for some time. Unlocking the bedroom door was quite a challenge as the handle was loose and the key wouldn’t turn. Over all nice stay, we weren’t there to spend time in the room so it was comfortable for 2 nights.

Really welcoming, accommodating and no fuss.

The vouchers to Bryson’s Tea Room for a full English breakfast were perfect! Great value!
The pillows were a bit hard and too thick. Bed was a bit firm for my liking. Bathroom was surprisingly small, but good enough and clean! The room was a bit noisy, right off the entrance and stairs.

The room itself was very lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was spacious overall, and the placement was fantastic. It was right in the city centre and didn't have to treck far at all. Lovely.
There's just a few things that I didn't like about this hotel. For one, I paid extra for a view of the lake and don't get me wrong, the room was pointing that way, but all we could see was trees and grass. When we got there our door was already open and not closed properly so we didn't even need a key to get in. It also said that breakfast was included but because no staff work there, we didn't know where to go for it so we missed out, and had to go into the centre to buy it. Getting into the building was also slightly confusing as there is 2 doors to the building. The placement of it & the room itself was nice, apart from the tiny bathroom. But overall I was a little disappointed for the price of it.

It was a stones throw from a lake. Great breakfast provided by owner in a nearby cafe.
The room was rather small for 4 persons. However we were allowed to use the rest of the apartment so it was ok. The toilet was rather small and lighting tad dim.

Beautiful scenery and fantastic location, couldn’t be happier!
4.5 / 5.0
the room ( 3) , the view , the beds and unusual breakfast choice via deli down the road
the small dark bathroom, parking and the climb up outside from the rear stairs to reception ( no good for those that are infirm) Contact less entry needs more work as does directions via Belsfield Hotel car park. Not easily seen from Kendal road and no stopping to drop luggage off
