Not stated in the description of the room I selected is a shared bathroom. A very important piece of information they leave out. There is no staff on property and you access the room via a lock box on the street, where I was approached by a homeless person. The sheets and towels are black which masks how dirty it could be. I sat on the bed for 5 minutes while contemplating the room, which was as hard as a rock, and I left without staying. No one on site to complain to and my messages went unanswered to the hotel.

Excellent location. Very clean and well maintained. If you are solo travelling on a budget and here for a couple of days without a car, this location is very well connected. I would definitely stay here again. Checkin and checkout were seamless and contactless. I just wish checkin was a little sooner.

The whole tower was basically a whole private apartment. It was cozy and bigger than expected with three stories. Love the extra touch of the toiletries available for use. I absolutely loved the bathtub, though I wish the jacuzzi feature would have worked, but it seems that was broken. Overall though, perfect for a romantic stay.

Only there one night. It was restful, and the decor’s pizzazz added variety to my trip.

The Rosemary is a fabulous little boutique hostel in a nice part of Silverlake. It was perfect for my long weekend stay in LA. The room was quiet and cozy. The bathrooms are super nice and the showers have good water pressure. There's a small fridge, a water dispenser and a Keurig for making coffee in the morning in the shared space. The neighbors around are incredibly helpful and helped me find parking around the building. Would definitely stay here again!

Customer Service is the worst.

We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this venue. If you’re at the top of the tower (honeymoon suite) be prepared to lug your luggage two flights up the narrow spiral staircase. Suite has private jacuzzi but toilet and kitchen are shared with one other guest room.

Before you fall in love with the photos, consider the following:
Shared bathroom and having to go upstairs means a room should cost $65, not $145. It's bathroom and shower in one, so your neighbor may be taking a long shower when you have to go.
That cute spiraling staircase is annoying when people upstairs are coming and going.
Noisy intersection with no insulated walls. Feels like you're in a box with plywood walls.
A small AC unit on the wall just can't cool the room.
We left after 4 hours and moved to another hotel. It was that bad.

Cool vibe, quiet, comfortable. No frills. Good for a couple nights. The shared bathrooms were very clean.

What I liked:
The property had a beautiful old Hollywood style once inside. It was well kept and clean. There was free Hight quality coffee capsuels.
What I didn't like:
The surrounding area felt unsafe with lots of homeless people. There is no staffing at the hotel which caused a couple of issues.
Our food was stolen from the freezer on our first night and the owner couldn't work out who took it via CCTV.
A group of about 5 dodgy looking people were up making noise (appearing to be using drugs) until after midnight - the walls are paper thin.
Conclusion:
The hotel was very nice but would definitely benefit from 24/4 reception.

Great place. It's more of a mini hostel on one side not sure about the other but an amazing place if you don't mind meeting and cohabitating to with other humans.

It’s exactly what you’re hoping for. A weird hostel that feels like if a vampire that was super into cats set it up. Plus it was super clean. I love it and will be back! Only con is parking is a little difficult but there are many options a block or two away

This is one of the coolest, most unique places ive ever been! Like a speakeasy, brothel, the Haunted Mansion all rolled into one (but not creepy!). It's hostel-style with some rooms sharing 2 bathrooms but not inconvenient at all. My daughter and i were so delightedly surprised for our last minute sleepover.. just go experience it!

Pleasantly surprised. Would stay there again.

I enjoyed the ambiance and convenient location. Unique stay! I was on the bottom floor of the tower. If it weren't for the noisy guests upstairs (who I don't think realized the kitchen and bathroom were shared, they spread their stuff everywhere including their food and open suitcases) it would have been great. I didn't get much sleep. It might be helpful to remind folks to go up and down the staircase quietly in the middle of the night and not talk super loud in the kitchen area. I seriously doubt they read the email.
I appreciated that I had a toilet on the ground floor. I will return but probably select a different room. It was a really cool place overall!

Nice stay but the announcement wasn’t clear and I ended with a shared bathroom reservation. Bedroom wasn’t clean.

This was a perfect hotel for a 1-night stay. There was a shared bathroom, but we hardly saw anyone (we were there on a Thursday night). Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was super clean. For the amount we paid, this was a great value! There were also some cute restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store nearby.

This was a unique experience. Uncanny Valley. Instructions for the property were clear and everything was clean. There was no staff on the property, so that cannot be rated. It's not in the best part of town, but I felt safe. Walls are paper thin and they provided ear plugs.

Wild place. Like living in a museum! Tiny room but I love it!! Super funky Hollywood locale!

perfect for what we needed, a lovely place to sleep and have some morning coffee before setting out for the day. Bathrooms are nice and clean, beds are comfy and the style is eclectic. You can definitely hear people in the other rooms coughing, talking normally etc, so we had to whisper always but other than that it was great. would most certainly stay again!

Just wish they provided tissue boxes and fans that weren't super loud.

Very clean and comfy. The price is too high for a tiny room with a shared bathroom. I paid 258$ for two nights. A bit expensive.

restroom dirty and towels had a lot of unidentified hair

Well the decor of course I'm sure everybody talks about that just the attention to detail and it's just a class act also as of late I've had really bad experiences pretty much everywhere not everywhere I mean not exaggerate quite a bit quite a bit lately I've been unhappy with just the overall hospitality of hospitality providers and I was just doing a review as a matter of fact; I was just doing an video review for a YouTube channel and I had to stop and think about it and this was definitely the place that I can say that enjoyed the most lately and the communication was good there were accommodating. I had no issues the interaction was professional it was quick, polite friendly and in stark contrast to the other bookings as of late. They were very easy in dealing with my service animal. They didn't try to hit me up for extra money or fees or charges or anything they were totally compliant with Ada and FHA. I enjoyed the experience enough that I went and changed and moved to another one of their different rooms in their property so I can experience that too. I love that area of silver lake it's like coming home for me and I would highly recommend the space. They have other properties as well that I'm looking forward to being able to check out in the near future that are also very unique spots that shouldn't be missed I think. as far as hospitality and an experience goes they are top notch and providing that thank you so much.

For the value it's a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bedding nice. If you are noise sensitive this may not be your place. My window for room 8 was right on the street. You can hear your neighbors.
Great location for the value. 5 minute walk to bars, coffee, and restaurants
