This property is in a great location!! It's an easy walk to the beach, convenience store, and ice cream & pastie shop. The property is large enough to support common gathering and eating. There is also a bonus room upstairs if you feel the need to get away. Everyone had a space to call their own and felt comfortable.
If you go in the summer, take fans. There are 2 window AC units but fans were nice for sleeping. I did alert the property manager of some missing and damaged screens. They assured me those would be addressed for future guests' comfort. If I return to the area, I would rent this property again.
Responses to my communication attempts through the VRBO messaging system were limited, but when I called the property manager directly, she was always professional and helpful.

We loved everything about our stay. Close enough to everything, but secluded enough to slow down and relax.
4.9
We loved the property due to the great rooms upstairs for the cousins!
The family room downstairs allowed us all to hang out and play games together!
We loved being so close to the beach so that if some kids wanted to go to the beach they could just walk!
The sunrises and sunset were like no other and we loved being able to go to Marquette or Munising quickly.
4.9
Even though there was not snow to x-country ski or snowshoe, we enjoyed being outdoors going the the Eben Ice Caves and Pictured Rocks Ice Cave. The house was large enough for our group to eat together and hang out in the living room or game room.

Not much snow this year but great place right on the trail.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE MY MOM'S PASSING THAT HER 5 ADULT CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO GET TOGETHER TO HAVE A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE. THE HOUSE WAS VERY ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR GROUP VERY COMFORTABLY. THE LINEN WAS CLEAN, THE HOME LOVELY AND THE KITCHEN WAS WELL STOCKED FOR COOKING. WE WERE NOT INTERRUPTED BY NEIGHBORS OR OWNERS. OVERALL IT WAS A PLEASANT PLACE AND WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. SOMETIMES ONE HEARS HORRIBLE STORIES ABOUT RENTAL PLACES, BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

We had a great experience staying at Park Avenue. The house was spacious and the kitchen was equipped with a lot of cookware. We had a small issue with the refrigerator but with quick response from the team, it was all fixed. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our Retreat.
4.9
Two families (10 adults) stayed the weekend so we could attend the NMU graduation ceremony. Loved our stay and the house was perfect for us! Thanks for everything - the communication was quick, house was stocked with what we needed, and we had so much fun celebrating. We’ll be back!

As we pulled up to the home after a long drive we could not believe it. All 12 of us were in awe. The pictures do not do this Lodge justice. We got out and headed in, and the only thing I could say was wow. It was so nice and warm, clean and felt like our own home. The kids ranging in age of 9 yrs old to 22 years old ran through claiming beds, rooms, and where they were chilling at in the AWESOME game room. The 4 adults gelt at peace knowing that there was space and fun for each person with this home. It was crazy what this little trip staying in this home did. Not one time did anyone bicker lol we laughed and hiked the Munising Ice Curtain and Eben Ice Cave. We ate From the local pizza shop (excellent by the way) and had board game night by the fire. We have Already spoke of making this
our anual trip! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!

Great property right on the trail. It can sleep a lot of people, which maybe leaves it a bathroom short. I'd stay again.

This was our second time staying at this rental. Both times were great. Had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, house was clean, and communication with the manager was always fast and easy. I’m sure we will be back

Had a good time

Jason came over promptly for a small problem we were having and was very polite and kind. The game room upstairs was cool too!
The house could have been better cleaned. Mold in the full bathrooms on the walls and very dirty shower curtains. The upstairs bathroom had a big mold stop and you are just looking at it the entire time you're showing and the shower is tinny too. At the time of this review there are no pictures of the inside of the showers on the vrbo site and that should have been an indicator that something was not right. The pots were dirty in kitchen under the cabinet.
This is from my friends:
Rips in leather couch was covered up.
Refrigerator was dirty and had to be cleaned.
Lights not working in kitchen.
Light fixture in upstairs bathroom falling out of ceiling.
Mold on shower curtains and in shower area.
There was no instructions for cleaning up in the listing and we payed a lot in cleaning fees. So we took out the trash loaded up the dish washer and left promptly.
If these things are addressed then this will be a top notch place enjoy while staying in the UP.
4.9
very nice had everything there we needed for an enjoyable stay
4.9
Everything was great, accommodated our large group. It was clean and very close to riding trails. The only complaint would just be that only 1 person could shower at a time because the water pressure was non existent if 2 were trying to shower. We would come back.

We had a celebration of our 50th anniversary here. It has lots of room for sleeping, gathering and eating. It is located so that restaurants are very convenient, but also has a great kitchen that is well equipped. It’s close to several beautiful beaches and to pictured rocks. We were pleased. And, Jason is a great host!

Went with family ages 1-90. Location was fantastic: quiet neighborhood but close to a lot of adventure. Bedrooms were great for adult privacy and cousin bonding. Owners were very responsive when I had a few questions. Truly great week
4.9
The house was a good size house. Plenty of space for everyone. Game room was nice. Walking distance to a great beach. House was centralized to all our activities. Hosts were accommodating and responsive. Will definitely be booking again.
4.9
The VRBO house had everything we needed; plenty of bedrooms, enough bathrooms, big kitchen, and large dining spaces. Nice amenities, too, including a big living room, upstairs game room for the kids, a pleasant sunroom, garage for some cars, and a fun deck out front. The owner Jason was easy enough to communicate with and addressed some issues quickly once brought to his attention.
4.9
Great place for families - two dining room tables so "kids" could be at one and parents at other. There were books and games for wide range of children. Easy access to beaches, Pictured Rocks, and trails. Make sure you look at their book of pictures showing the property transformation they completed! Plenty of parking. Washer and dryer really handy. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, plates and bowls, and silverware

Park Ave Lodge was really great experience for us. Being at good quiet location, close by beach. Well thought out rooms., decors.
Kids (and some adults!) really enjoyed the Game room.
Jason was super good at communicating.
If visiting UP with big group next time would definitely stay there
4.9
The boys said they had a great time. There was plenty of space for everyone and extra room! The game room was a huge hit. Thanks for providing all the firewood for the bonfires. Being right across from the beach was a huge bonus!!!

All 9 of us had comfortable beds, places to park cars and sleds. Will definitely book again.

It's obvious this isn't Jason and Becky's first rodeo. Their house had everything we needed and more! Have you ever rented a house and said "damn, I wish they had x"? That didn't happen here. They thought of everything! For example, we had all the cookware needed (including a crockpot), extra blankets, plenty of space for us to hang out, and the game room was much larger than the pictures made it seem. They were also extremely responsive and professional. I highly recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back next year!
4.9
The accuracy of this listing for this property was spot on clean and accommodated everything we were looking for. Plenty of individual space but a good size common area love the garage to park the sleds in Jason was a great host extremely accommodating! If I have a group coming back to this area I will definitely try to book this place again!!
4.9
House worked out perfect. Right on trail, plenty of room for snowmobile trailer, would definitely stay there again

Really nice place. Plenty of beds for everyone. Owner was super easy to work with.
4.9
Was great and couldnt complain
4.9
The house was located in walking distance of Lake Superior.
My family (11of us) enjoyed the spacious area.
On the downside, the fee for cleaning of the home was high.
Yet our host asked us to empty ALL garbage containers.
Total cost was high for less than 48 hours.
4.9
The house is well kept. Jason and family Upgraded the house to have modern facilities and conveniences. Game room is great hangout place for kids. Jason giving us access to the electric car charger outlet in the garage was a great help as there are no public charging available in the area.
Great host great location.
Will visit again.

great place. neat and tidy.

We had a group of 12; plenty of room with great accommodations, house is right off the atv trails, east access. Great times,

We thoroughly enjoyed a short but sweet stay in Au Train. Close to Munising and Pictured Rocks with walkable access to a secluded beach with beautiful sunsets and sunrises - this is exactly what the doctor ordered for us after over a year and a half of not seeing each other in person. Jason was very accommodating with all our requests. Loved our stay and will definitely return.
4.9
We will definitely be back for our next UP trip.
4.9
Short walk to the Au Train river which is what we were looking for.
4.9
Very accommodating place to stay that supports a large family of ranging children's ages. Would recommend to anyone looking to experience the beautiful lake superior shore in the UP
4.9
We had an amazing time in Au Train! The location of the property is excellent - walking distance to Au Train beach, right where the Au Train river meets Lake Superior. The river (we think) makes the lake a bit warmer in that area - we had a great time swimming and playing at the beach. Jason was VERY responsive when we had questions or needed help with anything regarding the house. We had a fantastic week in Au Train and did not want to leave!
4.9
Our large family (17!) Was looking for a property big enough but yet in a quiet location. Park Avenue Lodge fit the bill! Everyone had their own space, the kitchen was the best stocked of any rental we have experienced! There was plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware to allow us to eat in. There was a big deck and a large yard for the kids to play. I would definitely recommend this property for large groups!

Awesome accommodations
