The house is located in a perfect location if you want to stay out of the city . We like the outdoors and didn’t want to be in downtown. The host was very accommodating to our situation and made every effort to make sure we were happy. Highly recommend this location.

The stay was great.

We loved the place. Beds were all comfy and we each had a bathroom! Views are incredible and location was great for day trips to whistler, horseshoe bay, and ambleside beach.
One of my friends was from back east and longed to see the mountains..My only suggestion would be to get some comfortable patio furniture as we spent alot of time out there! All in all a rememerable holiday!

Beautiful location. Easy to access. Lack of kitchen utensils needs better knives and steak knives. Floors were not washed properly. Guests need access to a garbage bin for longer stays along with better garbage bags for the kitchen and bathrooms. Awesome location and host. Property can use some TLC. Respectfully, not worth the price point.

We knew that this house had a great view, but the pictures do not do it justice. It has a spectacular view of downtown Vancouver and beyond!
The house was lovely and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Vancouver. We were late to our next destination because we enjoying our morning coffee on the patio too much!

The views, including gorgeous views of water, mountains and/or well landscaped greenery out every window were a highlight for us. The patio and yard were also draws.
We picked the property hoping it would be peaceful
& quiet. It did not disappoint.
In general, the house was clean and well maintained.
There were a few items in need of
minor repair or replacement that did not impact our stay.
Very quick to drive to grocery store, local hiking trails,
and Ambleside beach.
Found the kitchen well enough stocked with plates etc for our needs, beds comfortable, soap & shampoo were available as well as face cloths & bath towels.
If you want to stream movies etc bring an HDMI cable or use your tablet, etc.
The hosts were very accommodating.
Lovely spot for our 3 night getaway.

Thank you for hosting us, Eric. We enjoyed our stay and the incredible view.

We enjoyed our stay (two seniors plus our grown kids) very much. Previous renters had noted no hand towels or kitchen towel, so I brought my own. Good call. House had reasonably stocked kitchen and several markets nearby. WiFi password is written on a small chalkboard in kitchen, easy to overlook. Could use measuring spoon (1 or 2 Tbsp) for coffee. Oven is in degrees F, not Celsius. House is older and has some cosmetic flaws, but nothing serious. The gardens are post-prime but I bet in June the rhododendrons are fabulous. Hot tub not useable was ok with us. Dishwasher had some kind of water leak seemed to be from the door during the drying cycle. Furniture is a combination of nicer cast-offs and IKEA, but attractive, functional and comfortable. Plenty of comfortable seating even outdoors on the patio. An awning made the patio comfortably cool. Owner was responsive to questions. We would totally re-book this property if we come back to the area.

Lovely home from home, close to Vancouver with a great view. Was ideal for a group of three couples for a couple of days, thanks!

Aside from the great view, the property is not a serious rental. Completely inadequate kitchen except for fridge and microwave. Gross liquids and odd items including a giant canister of nitrous oxide in kitchen. Only bath towels. No hand, kitchen towels. Very odd decor and holes in walls. Mildewy master shower and strange odor in house. Very old house among mansions. Strangely about 40% of properties are for sale. This rental is likely to be sold and torn down/gutted soon it seems.

This guy s a bare minimum place at best. There are no signs, guest book or support for questions. Exterior has two door and front is hidden from street (take right stairs) And, yes, you’ll be lugging suitcases up stairs. Hot tub was empty as were most planters/flower pots.
Interior. Sheets were mismatched and bottom sheet in master bdrm was way past needing to be replaced. Bathrooms had a few bath towels, zero hand towels & no wash cloths. Instead they left paper towels set out. No trash receptacle or hair dryer. Toilet ran all night and art over bed fell off command strips and was just sitting on headboard. Kitchen was very sparsely supplied.
There were no check out instructions anywhere and after an hour trying to get host to respond and another 25 minutes with VRBO support after arrival we gave up and decided to start the dishwasher and hope that was good enough.
Nice view but not worth a return trip. Too bad. Could be a prime property.

The property needs some tlc. It said there were hairdryers in every bathroom. There was not even 1 The coffee pot had a crack in it so no coffee. Very minimum essentials for cooking. They must not like laundry as no hand towels they wanted you to use paper towels for everything. No
Real outdoor furniture to speak of. Beds aren’t great
A lot of money to stay here and not sure the view is worth that.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eric's place. The house is in a beautiful, quiet, private, neighborhood with an excellent view of downtown. It served as a great jumping off point for exploring the area. The house could use a little maintenance TLC, and perhaps a few more cooking accessories (seasonings, spatulas, etc... we really enjoy cooking meals at home on our VRBO stays so we may be more sensitive to this than others)
All in all, it was enjoyable and fit our needs well, but it is an older home that needs some attention to bring out it's max potential.

The property was wonderful, overlooking the city and in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Our family had fun even if we just stayed there to sleep and we were out the whole day. We had a challenge finding the property as it was late when we arrived and the GPS pointed to the house down the road. It took us a few minutes to get inside the house as we were trying to get through the back door. Overall it was a great experience!

We were traveling with extended family and found this home perfect for our group. In addition to its spacious and relaxing interior the views made this home absolutely spectacular.

Overall we had a great stay. Great neighborhood close to shopping and access to downtown via Lions Gate and Horseshoe Bay ferry. Biggest criticism is regarding the master bed, which will be different for each person. My wife and I both found the mattress extremely firm and as such, didn’t sleep very well but again, that’s us, others may love this.

This is an old quirky house amongst million dollar mansions, so the area is nice but the property itself is for sale, rather dated but still a spacious house. Not well stocked and not too much decor, wall hooks are bare, but probably because they are trying to sell. Hot tub was not filled but wasn’t aware it was there before coming. Lots of stairs leading to either outdoor entrance and rather dark at night not well lit pathways, slippery when wet. Had a hiccup upon arrival when clearly the cleaner hadn’t cleaned since the last tenant, huge trash bags were piled at the front entrance and linens were piled in the laundry and beds not made. Contacted host and they responded quickly, said they would refund partial for the inconvenience but never followed through on that and also didn’t respond after we checked out. Showed up with linens enough to cover beds until cleaner came next day. Brought wine and chocolates as an apology. Overall the house was much better and more spacious than a hotel, area was nice and well suited to our needs, and view of the bridge was fabulous.

We had six people in our party and the stay was very good. An excellent home with ample space for 6 people. The home is well appointed and is an easy car drive to all activities around Vancouver. We would recommend the home for others staying in Vancouver. The home is in a quiet/exclusive neighborhood and we all enjoyed our stay.

The property is gorgeous and filled with character. The views were phenomenal, and only got better at night. Thanks to our wonderful host for accommodating our requests and for making our holiday a special occasion.

Great property, clean, perfect location, amazing view. The only lacking is check out instructions, communication with the manager and supplies like soap for example. Otherwise would definitely recommend.

This house was gorgeous, and our stay was amazing. The view is unbelievable, you can see all the way out to Metrotown and beyond, but at night it is even better!

This place is just a must to stay, clean and cozy. The views are just amazing. I would highly recommend this stay! Perfect for family and friends.

Large space with beautiful view. Property is for sale and not lived in -due to this, property isn't cared for on a daily basis and it shows lack of attention to details. Unlocking the door can be tricky, you have to turn it just right and push open. Could use bathroom wash rags, hand towels, and in the kitchen there is a need for cooking utensils/items - tongs, whisk, measuring cups, strainer, silicone/nonstick spoons/flippers. There were no directions for checkout - we did gather all garbage into one bag and tied off, stripped all beds and left dirty linens stacked, hung wet towels over showers, and started the dishwasher.

The owner was responsive throughout and even dropped off a snow shovel for us when we needed to dig ourselves a path out of the foot of snow. The views alone of downtown Vancouver from the house are worth it. Beds were firm (which we loved). Plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware. Would stay here again.

Spacious, close to downtown, good management!

We were so happy cozied up in this home. Waking up to foggy mornings looking out over the city or going to bed with the glow of the Vancouver lights was perfect. The house was well-appointed and just what we needed for our family of four. West Vancouver was perfect for quick trips to the store or a little shopping. Sometimes getting back over the bridge to downtown Vancouver was challenging, overall, the location was great. We'll be back!
