Hakuna Matata EP629 is a beautiful modern home! On the ground floor you will find the first two suites. To the left, the first offering a king and sleeper sofa. Complete with kitchenette and full bath. To the right, the second offers a twin over queen bunk bed, kitchenette and full bath, and a door leading out to the pool. Upstairs, to the left side, the two bedroom suite. The first is a king, with a full bath. The second offers two bunks with a full bath. Complete with a kitchenette. To the right, you will find the main living space. Offering a king suite and full bath. There is also a washer and dryer, half bath, full kitchen, a living room with ample seating and a sleeper sofa in this space. Plan a multi-family or generational getaway with quick access to town and a short cart drive to the beach. There is a lift to help bring luggage and groceries to the second floor! Pool can be heated for an additional charge of $100+tax per day for the duration of your stay. Please mention when making reservations!

The house worked out well for us with the separate areas as well as a large enough area to gather together. Our family ranged from age 4 to 68. The kids loved the pool it was just right for them. We enjoyed our stay at Hakuna Matata and plan to come back again. House was as described and check in and check out was easy and efficient.

Beautiful home! We were so comfortable during our stay. We had a couple of rain days so being comfortable was important! The living/kitchen/dining room was spacious and comfortable. There isn’t direct access to the beach, but we were really close via car and/or golf cart.
The kitchen was nicely stocked. We cooked several times during our stay and we had everything we needed (even for a large shrimp boil).
We enjoyed our stay!

This property was perfect for myself, my husband and several of our friends. The bedrooms were mostly separated into their own units with at least one bathroom and a kitchenette which was a fantastic set up for us. Beach was only a short golf cart ride away and the main kitchen/house had everything we needed to gather as a group for mealtimes and evening times. Highly recommend!

Place was very nice, clean and well equipped. Still has cleaning ladies there at 4 pm but left shortly after. Garbage was full outside and smelled terrible. I believe it was emptied in 2 days. Microwave didn't work and they brought us one that did. I would recommend having someone renail the nails on the upstairs breezeway. Someone could hurt their feet on protruding nail heads. Still a great rental

Pros. We loved the layout of the house. We are a blended family with 8 kids total. Their ages range from 15-30 and two of our adult kids are married. The house configuration gave everyone their space yet the large main living room and kitchen was a great place to all gather for family time. The house sits a mile from the beach with pretty easy access by car or golf cart.Cons. The main kitchen microwave did not work at all. Everything had to be warmed up across the breezeway in our kids kitchenette. Maintenance came to look at it and said they have to replace it but they didn’t do it while we were there. The garbage disposal in the main kitchen had a terrible leak so we couldn’t use the right side of the sink until they replaced it which they did. However, the biggest problem we had was the air conditioner in the main unit. At first we thought it couldn’t keep up because their was a lot of in and out of our family since it was the common area and my wife and I were in the main king suite in that unit. But at night the a/c never would cool down to a comfortable point. It was HOT! After communicating with management, sending pics with time of day showing the problem, a maintenance guy came and “cleaned the coils”. It did not help. Then A/c repair guys came 2-3 times and finally determined the unit needed to be replaced......on the morning we left. I’m glad others after us will sleep in a comfortable a/c space. Management did refund some of our money, not enough in my opinion as we had multiple issues and inconveniences. And we shouldn’t be paying thousands of dollars on vacation only to deal with maintenance issues in a home we don’t own. We’re on a get away from responsibility. In my view, if you’re going to own a vacation rental company, you need to make sure all of your properties are in excellent working conditions before renters arrive. I’ve been going to Port A since the 70s as a kid. What a great place and what a great house. The location is close to beach access and not too far from all the shops. Get the golf cart if you want to explore without loading up in the car and enjoy the air.
Every room was self sustainable and very comfortable. The main room and kitchen were spacious enough to accommodate our party of 10 and out door seating added to the fun of meals prepared onsite. Plenty of driveway parking to avoid violating fire lanes painted in the cul-de-sac. Pet friendly with upper deck locking gate so the fur kids can’t wander down the stairs. The pool area is also enclosed.

The house was great, I was surprised cause we all had separate little houses but functioned good. The pool was awesome to have. The only thing was no beach toys and if they were in the garage there were no instructions or keys to access them. Overall great stay and location.

This was our first time to Port A. The stay was a great experience, it almost lost a star, because of the Sparta condition of the property.
No way to rinse your mouth in the bathroom, one hand towel for 2 people in the bathrooms, there were no games or decks of cards as listed and the weather was damp a lot causing a need to stay in. The pool needed some attention to make it a plus for the property. The elevator was a real plus for older folks and moving provisions to the second floor kitchen. The local grocery, IGA, is well stocked and made up for any missing items. The kitchen is ok, but the dishwasher needs an update. Door leans down and dumps dishes.
The 5 families overall liked the property and the comments are meant to make it a spectacular property. An early checking, say at 3pm would have been a nice touch, but understand turning a properly around may require the later time.
Highly recommend a golf cart rental. We were unsure of it value initially, but ended up using it a lot.

This is an amazing place to stay with friends and family. The layout is pretty cool, it’s like four condos under one roof. It worked so well for our group and gave everyone more privacy. Each room has its own bathroom which made it so nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

The property was wonderful for everyone having their own space but still having a large area for everyone to gather. We loved the pool. It was perfect for small children with a shallow end that they can stand up in and steps on both end and in the middle. We loved all the areas that the family could gather outside and the large living area inside. We will definitely book the house again.

This was my first time planning a trip for my family to Port A and Port A Vacation Rentals should be your first choice in Port Aransas. The place was absolutely beautiful. Spacious. Exactly like the pictures and the descriptions. Everything we needed, besides the beach and fishing, was at our fingertips. We did have an issue with the pool heater. I paid $100 extra to have the pool heated but the heater was having issues the entire time. They came to fix it the last day we were there, said it would take a few hours to work, but it sadly never did. When we woke up in the morning to check out on Sunday, however, the pool was nice and heated. Sadly we were unable to enjoy it. Only negative on our trip.

We had an amazing time at the Hakuna Matata house. It worked perfect for our 11 family members - 3 family units. So much fun! Our only complaint was that we had asked prior to arrival to have the pool heated. But it wasn’t and we had to return to the rental office 3 times to get them to get someone out there to fix it. It finally was fixed the afternoon before we checked out. Really wish they would have checked that andtaken care of it prior to our visit.

Perfect house for a multiple couples and a couple with kids. 4 different units with a main house for everyone to be together. Beds were comfortable and amenities were good. Kitchen needs to be reorganized but that might just be my OCD! There’s an elevator to bring all your things up and down the stairs. We only used it for our initial arrival and departure and was thankful for it. Location is good and neighborhood was quiet. Will stay at this location again.

The house was beautiful. Great layout for older family. Each room is separated so the young adults could be away from the older folks if they are staying up later. House was clean and well stocked. Corn hole and pool were a great addition. The main floor bedroom had a pull out couch, there was plenty of space for our party of 11, and still had a couple empty beds. The elevator did not work the entire time we were there, the maintenance office had to order a part. If you are relying on it be sure to ask if it is working before you go.

Property layout was perfect with rooms set up like mini apartments with kitchenette and bathrooms for each. Only a short golf cart ride to the beach. Elevator didn’t work upon arrival and even after a maintenance call was never operational. Garbage in outside can had not been emptied in some time. Pool was a great bonus after being at HOT beach all day. Would stay again when bringing a large party.

The property was very clean. Appeared to be newly renovated. 4 seperate living quarters which was great for family privacy. Location was great! Kitchen well equipped for basic needs. Pool was clean and great for kids. Very pet friendly.
Wireless connection was very weak. In rooms near pool we had zero signal. Fantastic TVs in every area, but could not use them on lower level rooms. Highly recommend better wi-fi service or get wifi extenders in all areas.
Also, may want to consider a pest control service. We bought bug spray to kill fire ants near pool and bugs in lower floor rooms. Including large palmetto bugs that were fearless and wanted us out of their house.
Property manger was very responsive and very good with communicating availability and checkout intructions.
