Early check in and late check out sorted at late notice. Room very nice, modern and clean, bed big and comfy. We missed the breakfast but had Sunday lunch which was lovely.

Beautiful rooms, comfy & cosy - though mind your head! Despite the warnings, we bumped our head on the door more times than I'd care to let on ha!
The food was brilliant & staff were exceptional - super helpful with all our questions, need for irons & booking taxis!
We really enjoyed our stay & if we're back in the area, we'll definitely be back.

Staff friendly & helpful. Room fresh & cottage style. Towels plentiful & toiletries. Fresh milk in a little fridge was a nice touch.
Could have offered a little variety in the breakfast although the scrambled eggs on toast was very good.

The Crown Inn called to cancel my reservation the day before I was due to stay. They claim this was due to a mix up with booking.com so be careful unless you have booked direct. They prioritised the reservations that were made directly with them. They also said it had happened many times and yet seemed not to have taken any steps to prevent the problem reoccurring. I had made my reservation in January for a stay in August and was appalled that they had not spotted this mistake before 24 hours before I was due to stay, especially as it was apparently a recurring issue! I was left to find alternative accommodation on a bank holiday weekend with a series of major concerts happening in the area and had to pay over the odds for one of the last available rooms in the area. Had I have been notified earlier, I may have had more options and longer to solve the problem. Not impressed.

Great character property. The food was excellent and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a little dog with us who everyone made a fuss of. It was all just lovely.
There was nothing to dislike.

This place is a rare gem.
The room was spotless, and the added touch of fresh milk in the room for tea & coffee was a welcome change/surprise. The staff were all amazing, very attentive, cheerful and welcoming, we were made to feel like locals from the outset and not strangers. The food was fantastic, we dined in the restaurant (evening meal) on our day of arrival and even though we had not booked a table it was absolutely no problem and we were served quickly and efficiently, all the food was well presented and cooked to perfection, breakfast the next morning was also to the same faultless standard we could not fault either meal in any way, keep up the good work guys 11/10.
The management team here obviously put their heart and soul into running The Crown Inn, and it certainly shows.
Although it is being really, really picky and it is something that I appreciate cannot be changed, I can see how the proximity to the road may affect a light sleeper, other than that no other problems or faults.

Lovely old pub . Good food and room was lovely and comfy. Couldn't have breakfast. So instead they gave me a lovely evening meal .

The staff very friendly and helpful. Felt like a proper country pub. The rooms were very well decorated and had a good feel to them and the bathroom was a good size with a good shower. The evening meal was reasonably priced and pretty good and the breakfast was substantial.
Don't rely on the post code to get you there - it sends you a mile or so further down the road. The place name is the CROWN INN but the signage outside the pub just says The Crown...which is why I sailed on that extra mile...and came back.

Very friendly staff. We had lunch and then stayed a night. Good food and beer. The rooms we used were delightful, very comfortable with spacious bathrooms. It was live music night the evening we were there which was an added bonus , with a great band.
The low beams, but not the fault of the staff!

the room was lovely with lots of character. there was fresh milk in the room for coffee and a good shower. It’s a pub so you expect some noise but in the room it was quite quiet
