My wife and I stayed at this property while we were in Escanaba for a funeral. The property is older, but in a good way. Beautiful older home, nicely furnished, but still very comfortable. The owner was very quick to answer any questions, and had the home nicely prepared for our stay. We will probably be returning to the UP next year and plan to stay at "The Swede" if it's available. One thing to note. The home is 2 story, and the bedrooms are upstairs. please keep this in mind for older/elderly guests who may have issues with navigating stairs. Again, it's a beautiful home, and we had a great stay.

The host of this home was very accommodating & nice. The house was very comfy & cozy. Just a minute walk to the main street and close to the harbor & park. We also traveled with our 2 small dogs & this house worked well for them as well.

I did a walk through when I got there, because I had broke my foot and wanted to see how many steps on the stairs. The house needed to be thoroughly cleaned, a lot of cobwebs for me. Then I found out that reading an email they send out to Vrbo renters that someone would be in the basement! Freaked us all out. Luckily no one was renting out the basement. The host was very good, very helpful, and very responsive.

This us a very nice place in a quiet neighboorhood with a good view.

The Swedes House is truly a gem. The house was clean, comfortable and was exactly as listed. Check-in and out were a breeze. Communication with Jerry was excellent! We took a star away for the location/neighborhood, but that was really due to some noisy neighbors down the street, which no one can really control. Our stay was fantastic. Highly recommend!!!

Home was beautiful & owners had worked hard to insure their guests would be comfortable & have all their needs met.

We enjoyed having three large bedrooms, so everyone had their own privacy. The house was nicely furnished. We felt safe and comfortable.

We had a great stay with two adults, a toddler and two dogs. Everything was comfortable and Jerry was very accommodating and easy to work and communicate with. The house was clean and quiet and we didn’t even notice the tenants (who were very nice) in the basement apartment other than our dogs alerting here and there. Overall a great stay! If you travel with small kids, just be prepared to put some of the beautiful but toddler tempting items away behind the doors in the sunroom to keep them safe.

I loved the architecture of the house, and the decorations were perfect. Very conveniently located to Escanaba Park where we enjoyed fireworks.
