About this house rental
Immerse yourself in our luxe two acre retreat. Sip in views of Cathedral Rock or dine at the base of your private, red rock mountain under Sedona's brightest stars. With floor to ceiling French doors, artisan sky lights and exceptionally positioned windows, you'll experience the best of red rock country while still enjoying modern amenities, like: an infinity pool, Starlink WiFi, Sonos surround sound, Hunter Douglas electric blinds, a Viking range and Sub-zero fridge. Escape into Sedona's magic.
The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of Red Rock Loop in Southwest Sedona, this area boasts the most stunning views in the entire city. Visiting this part of town is at the top of every tourist guide and local recommendation. Even still, it typically has less crowds and fewer people than the other areas of Sedona.
If you think of Sedona as an upside Y with the arms leading away towards Cottonwood and the Village of Oak Creek and the stem leading towards Flagstaff, we are in the middle of the two arms beside some of Sedona's most iconic landmarks. The 89A leads from Cottonwood through Sedona to Flagstaff (and beyond) and we are just south of the highway in the heart of red rock country.
Just 10 minutes from town and 5 minutes off the highway on the Red Rock Loop Scenic Drive, it's amazing how transformative our neck of the woods is. Peaceful and serene, this neighborhood makes you feel like you're away from it all, without actually having to be.
Villa Vortex is located just off of the world-famous Red Rock Loop. The road winds through iconic landmarks and spectacular scenery. We end up taking a photo of the views at least every-other-time we drive home (truthfully, it never gets old!).
Our property is on a quiet, private road. You will have to drive about 100 feet down compacted dirt to make it to our paved driveway (our Prius and our neighbor's Prius make it no problem).
Speaking of neighbors, we do have a few, though we often forget when in the privacy of our estate. We have a couple families nearby and occasionally you will see the young kids playing in their yards when coming to and from the house. One of our neighbors also has horses which we occasionally hear "neigh" in the distance.
There are several SPECTACULAR hikes, swimming holes and parks near the house. Red Rock State Park is ideal for casual strolls and hiking while Crescent Moon State Park has the most amazing swimming holes and our favorite vortex in Sedona. Both are within biking distance from the house!
There are many, many more trails, attractions and vistas along Red Rock Loop (and we have a list if you're interested!).
Sedona is an International Dark Sky community, which means we are required to limit outdoor lighting. We do have some lighting near the front door, on our driveway, and in our patio and pool, but it is minimal. As a result, it can be tricky to see outside at night, but the stargazing is unparalleled! It is truly spectacular to spot shooting stars over the silhouette of Cathedral Rock from our balcony!
Getting around:
To get around Sedona you will need a car (or you will need to be a very avid cycler!). We are on the northern end of Sedona and you can easily drive to a plethora of stunning hikes, walks, parks and swimming holes in just five minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to get to town, and the drive is so beautiful you won't even notice!
But, if you DO happen to be a cycler or mountain biker, you can EASILY ride from the house to the countless trails nearby, or you may just find that Red Rock Loop is the ideal road to ride!

We only had 2 days in Sedona and we went for my moms 50th bday. It was a stunning home with the most amazing views. We enjoyed sunrises over the red rock views and stargazing. The pool was perfect for the heat. The decor and style of the house is just beautiful. It had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The house is in the wild of the desert so beware of critters, otherwise a perfect stay for the weekend!

This home is absolutely beautiful! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. The decor was so nice. The home was gorgeous. The view was incredible! Communication with the owner was excellent. I have only a couple of little things that were problematic, We didn’t have any hot water and no gas, and it took quite a while to get someone there. However, the owner was very communicative and making every effort to get that rectified and did. I would’ve loved to have gone in the pool. All of us would have the water And I will say that the owner did not notify me that it was propane run, so it was not possible. I had hoped that the weather would’ve warmed up the water, but it did not. I stay there again. The home is beautiful. The only one I would say is and it’s not a complaint. It’s just. thing that I did not see in the photos was one of the rooms in the photos looks larger than it actually is and it looks like it’s just a small, maybe closet add-on so it was very, very small even for two people, and the bed was not comfortable. In fact, I think two of the beds were not very comfortable. I am very afraid of insects and bugs and we did have a problem both nights finding large black spiders and two of the bedrooms when we got back from our outings that was a bit scary for us. Other than that, the home is unbelievably gorgeous and whomever owns. It has taken wonderful care of it. We loved our stay and most definitely will go back . Thank you very much rectify the issue that we had 😊

Beautiful views and home, but there are a lot of stairs, so take into consideration for mobility issues or small children.

Unfortunately, the pool, which was part of the draw to this VRBO, was unheated (67 degrees in May) and the owner stated that the heater was registering at 86 degrees right before we arrived. Everyone brought swimming suits. The steps down to the pool were without handrails and were dangerous to navigate. Perhaps there should be a notation when marketing the pool for potential guests to the VRBO that for many months it may not be of use.
A few of the dining room chairs had wobbly arms. Several of the automatic blinds weren't functional in the dining room and the views, while spectacular, were hindered by dirty windows.
Three of the four bedrooms had uncomfortable mattresses according to those using those rooms for the 4-1/2 days.
The location and weather were amazing.

Spacious and homey. Beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, the unseasonably cool weather prevented us from doing so from very well situated the pool.

The property was located in the hills of West Sedona in a very quiet neigborhood. We loved being just outside the city limits. Proximity to all the trails was great. The home was roomy, well supplied and very comfortable. The view of Cathedral Rock from the front porch was spectacular!

The house was so amazing with 360 views! The front had a perfect view of sedonas mountains and the back you were more emerged in these beautiful mountains. Me and my partner who are avid hikers went with my grandparents who were more about enjoying the view and vibes, and there was something for everyone!
The communication was great and the house was beautiful. We had the best time!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, comfortable, was full of fun decor and had beautiful views. We especially enjoyed stargazing and quite neighborhood. The bed in the bedroom I stayed downstairs was not the most comfortable but for two nights it was doable. All in all I strongly recommend!

Excellent property with amazing views (from every angle on every side of the house). Took some friends visiting from Canada to stay here to show off Arizona. Needless to say they where amazed and in complete awe. We also drove them up to see the Grand Canyon... they loved it as well, but couldn't wait to get back to Sedona and the views from this home. I wish to thank the owners for sharing.

The house was great, we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for making fabulous meals. There was plenty of areas to hang out... coffee on the back patio, afternoon pool parties, room to dine comfortably and a lovely front balcony for viewing the stars. Beds were comfortable.

Everything about this stay was amazing! The location is absolutely breathtaking, the house had every amenity you could possibly want or need. The hosts were so accommodating and gracious with their instructions and their requirements. We enjoyed the pool, the fire pit and just the amazing views from both patio’s. The only problem is that our stay just wasn’t long enough. Will for sure come back and stay at least a week. The house is tucked away and private , yet a 10 min drive to almost anything you could need. Pure perfection! Thank you again so much!

The pictures don’t truly do justice to the stunning views from the house! The house is unique and beautifully decorated. The owners are very responsive. We need to come back when it is warmer and use the pool!

What a great spot just outside of the busyness of downtown Sedona! Aside from our untimely ability to bring historic rainfall with us for practically the whole trip, this house came through as a real treat. Lots of trails close by and a very beautiful, peaceful and quiet spot away from what can be an overwhelming tourist collection. This is how you enjoy Sedona!

This gorgeous property was located a short 7min from the main drag in Sedona, and with such a beautiful drive, it never bothered us one bit! The home’s vistas are breathtaking and the interior decor and furnishings were ample and nicely appointed. We fumbled with the tv/sound a little, but with views like these, honestly- we didn’t miss it! Our family of 6 was very pleased with our stay- 5 stars!!
