About this cabin rental
Named after the deer that like to roam through the backyard, Deer Run Cabin feels like a family treehouse in the middle of the forest, just minutes from the lake’s edge. Perched on a hillside amongst towering pine trees, squirrel sightings & bird watching provide endless entertainment, all while being minutes away from Lake Arrowhead Village and exclusive access to the lake itself.
The space
Deer Run Cabin is a newly renovated sun-filled space with floor-to-celing windows in the main living room, a dining room, kitchen, and 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. The basement has two lounge rooms, perfect for movies, game night, or a teenage video game hibernation station. Outside, the front deck and giant patio deck allow you to enjoy the great outdoors.
The main floor includes one queen bedroom and one bunk & trundle bedroom that can fit up to four kids, along with a newly renovated bathroom. A staircase leads up to the master bedroom, with one queen bed, one queen sofa bed, and a newly renovated ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes, cooking utensils, so you can pick up groceries at Jensen’s down the street and then cook to your heart’s delight with the fam. The basement features a 65” TV in the main TV/game room with a dartboard and shuffleboard table. The ‘teenage room’ has a 50” TV, retro game console, and futon.
Guest access
The whole house and yard is yours to explore except for the shed in the backyard, the locked closet in the master bedroom, and the locked door in the downstairs den.
Other things to note
Guests
Maximum occupancy permitted is 6 adults and 4 children. No more than 6 adults allowed. If you have more than 6 adults in your party (including daytime visitors), you will be asked to leave the property without a refund and a loss to your deposit. Parking is only for 3 vehicles. If you have a larger group (up to 25 people), we can refer you to our next door neighbors in order to rent multiple houses side by side.
Because there are multiple staircases without baby gates, we would advise against having young toddlers/babies at the house; however, this is up to your discretion and we do welcome them. We have a pack and play as well as a high chair. The house is not child-proofed.
Pets
Crate-trained dogs are welcome with $100 fee per dog. Maximum 2 dogs allowed. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your furry friends before you book (sorry no puppies or cats). Pets that are not disclosed will incur a $500 charge, as this severely disrupts our cleaning for the next guest.
Please note:
Before requesting a stay, please be sure you are able to respect the rules outlined below. This is a quiet, quaint community and residents on the mountain are very strict with the code of conduct, as it keeps this mountain town peaceful for all.
QUIET TIME is 10pm-6am, as enforced by city ordinance. Please be mindful if windows are open, especially in the summer. Neighbors can call the compliance line and that prompts a Sheriff to come out to the property. Fines are steep and you will be charged.
If there is stormy/snowy weather, guests are advised to have AWD or 4 wheel drive vehicles and carry chains or cables. There are snow-plowed and well-maintained roads that lead to the property. If it snows guests may still need to shovel the driveway to pull out.
The home has central heating, however the gorgeous high ceilings also means it takes time to cool down in the summer and warm up in the winter. We’ve provided fans in each room for warm summer nights, and lots of blankets in the winter.
Please only use the designated BBQ provided.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs.

I had a great experience at deer run cabin. The cabin is very beautiful and fully renovated. It is super clean. All beds, sheets, towels, kitchen, restrooms were super clean. The owner of property is super nice and thoughtful. She thought about every details. She puts lot of kitchen gadgets, toys, playing cards and other playing stuff available. She respects her cabin’s Guests by giving them the best costumer service! Even after two hour of our check out time, She let me to go back to the property and grab my marinated meat which I left and forgot it on the freezer and I really appreciate it. I definitely go back to Deer run cabin in future.
