About this apartment rental
Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, upper level 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture and wonderful river and marine traffic views. Located in the historic district, it is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery, Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, other breweries, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others. Relax and watch the ship traffic through original double hung wood windows with wavy glass. Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything. This unit is located on the second floor, the stairs are shown in the photos. This historic craftsman apartment is located in Astoria's historic district where a variety of beautifully restored Victorian, Mediterranean, Tudor and Craftsman homes and buildings can be seen. Our building also borders the location of the original 1811 settlement site as marked by a green stripe on the road.

Great location and was an overall joy to stay at.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had great views of the port and is walking distance to many restaurants, museums and shops. The beds were cozy and there were many windows to enjoy the fresh breeze. We plan to stay there again the next time we are in Astoria.

Charming apartment, beautifully appointed with everything you need, gorgeous view, superb location. You can walk to practically everything you’ll want to see, and there are great restaurants within a couple of blocks. Very quiet and comfortable. We’ve found our Astoria home away from home!

Quick trip was enjoyable. Central location made things easy to walk to and explore. Nice apartment setup although it was warm on the 2nd floor.

This place is so roomy and comfy and the vintage details and feel of the space made it such a charming spot to stay. And I loved how central it was. Couldn’t imagine a better location in Astoria. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. The windows all opened to let a nice breeze in. I loved the little side sitting porch. I slept so well on the bed… the mattresses are firm but soft and I needed that. Also loved how the couch reclined making for a nice spot to watch a movie. We loved the place so much we already booked it again.

Overall, we loved the location of this property. Great views of the ships coming in and Astoria is such a charming town. The apartment is within walking distance from many fantastic coffee shops and breweries. We loved walking along the river each night and watching the boats. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had the basic tools needed for cooking a simple meal. The layout was spacious - much bigger than I expected - and eas a family of three we were very comfortable. The only concern I had was the distinct cat smell in the building and even though there were no cats present, they have left a mark. As a person with a severe cat allergy, I wish I had known this prior to staying. It was the only drawback in an otherwise lovely apartment.

Location is right near downtown, the Riverwalk and you have a lovely view of the Columbia and passing ships. Bed was very comfy and had good amount of space. Stayed for a week and worked from the apt. Hosts were readily available and replaced the TV quickly when I found it no longer would connect to the internet. Anything I needed they were quick to respond and very much wanting my stay to be as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Highly recommend any of the four stays in this building.

Cute and comfortable place. Walkable

The apartment was clean, in a great downtown location, and just as the pictures show. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together (we had 5). I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a place close enough to walk everywhere. Parking was on the street, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot not too far from the apartment.

The place was perfect for a family. Everything close for walking around. Loved the Sunday market and the water front. I definitely want to come back 😁

Great place, close to downtown with plenty of restaurants and shops. Quiet location. Comfortable beds, had everything we needed. Only improvement I would suggest is i did not realize there was no air conditioning and a few windows did not have screens. Luckily it was cool for August and the fans were helpful. I would stay here again!

Perfect for what we needed

Good stay, good location. Not as secure as I would like. Older home but way better than local motels. Close to all of Astoria sights.

property was clean and well stocked, with necessary pots etc. The location was great, we only used our car once while there. The bathroom is small, with a very small sink that was not securely fastened to the wall. The flat gets warm and the two fans were not enough to keep it cool. Really these are minor as we did enjoy our stay. Would be nice to have some instructions on check out precedures and instructions for TV Thanks Jake and Cindy.

Super cute property in Astoria very conveniently located to amenities. Slept exceptionally well. High quality furnishings for comfort. Please note, it is downtown so expect traffic noise. Several stairs to unit and not for the faint hearted. However, none of these were issues for myself. Would definitely return again! Love the architecture and layout of the unit. Recommended!
