We were in Erie for a reunion of college roommates. The property suited our needs well and we had a very enjoyable visit.

This house is fantastic and has the potential to really be an amazing VRBO experience. The problem is the upkeep - when we arrived the floors had not been vacuumed ( carpets or kitchen floor). The kitchen sinks and counters had been quickly wiped, but were not thorough and the bathrooms had dirty floors. When we contacted the owners to double check that the cleaning had been done, the person I was texting became irate and offended. They asked for pictures and when I sent them, they accused me of being a psychopath who looked for dirt. The outside space was nice at one point, but is now covered in cat hair and mildew. It was completely unusable. We did spend about an hour the first night cleaning the place and once that was done it was very nice for the week. There was plenty of room and the air and water worked well. It was exceptionally nice to have 2 kitchens and two living rooms. We went to Presque Isle and Waldameer. The location was fantastic! We wish the owners/managers would take better interest in making it a clean rental. It is one of the only ones in the Erie area that had the space and location we needed. It was just a matter of deciding that we were willing to clean it ourselves rather than cancel or attempt to find another space at the last minute. We agreed to disagree with the owners/managers and ended up having a great time in Erie!!

Host was great in all aspects. Home was a good fit for our family of six up for a family weekend.

Booked for a two night stay in Erie with our families. Arrived after 7pm on 6/24, tired from our day at Waldameer. Upon unloading groceries in the fridge, I found moldy food left behind by others. Before eating dinner, I had to clean the kitchen countertops as they had clearly not been wiped down. I also unplugged the many small appliances which seemed like a fire hazard. As I did, much to my horror, the outlets PULLED OUT OF THE WALL! Finally time to shower & go to bed. That is when I found a moldy basket in our room, and to add to it, our bedroom door literally would not shut. Lovely. The following morning I had messages from the host asking how check-in went and also providing instructions for check-out the following day. I responded expressing concerns about the cleanliness of the house. He asked for specifics, and upon my response about dirty floors, he insisted on pictures. The pictures I provided weren't good enough for him, so we offered to do a walkthrough of the house with him which he declined. He quickly became defensive and implied that we were the problem; not his house. He told us we should leave & find cleaner accommodations to our standards, offering a refund for the night. His reaction and response to our concerns were appalling so we agreed to leave & accepted the offer of a refund. 24hrs after having left the property, I continued to receive unsolicited harassing messages from the host (I have screen shots). 2 weeks later, still no refund; shocking.

The host did not respond to my inquiries timely. I also had to ask for the door code to check in. The house needs a deep cleaning. Dirty floors, throw rugs, appliances. There are just sloppy things going on like blue painters tape on windows? The Basement where the washer and dryers are held is literally a junk yard. All the other reviews say the place is old, that is true but it is also unkept. My family and I were very disappointed in our stay.

We had to call to get the access code. When we arrived the owner was still there. The floors were very dirty. We ended up spending over an hour cleaning to stay 1 night.

We had a great stay. The location of the house was perfect for the little bit of sightseeing we got to do in between our music concerts.
The size and layout of the place was perfect since at the time of booking I wasn't sure how many people we'd have.
Everything we needed was there and the place was clean and easy to settle into.
Thanks!

We traveled to Erie for my son’s all state music performance. This house was perfect. My in laws and my husband and I stayed on the main floor. My son and his girlfriend stayed upstairs. We originally needed the fourth bedroom, but another family member couldn’t come last minute. The upstairs has a full set up like the downstairs with living room and kitchen. It was very comfortable and we wished we could have stayed longer

Check in was easy, owners available 24/7 via call and text. House is old but updated nicely, with plenty of room for our family plus some. When we stayed, the wind chill was -18 degrees. The house stayed warm and cozy. Also located near many restaurants and things to do, including the Bayfront Convention Center.

Just three of us—my husband, myself, and our adult daughter—and our daughter’s dog—spent three nights at the property for Thanksgiving. The home was clean, nicely furnished, lots of space to relax, good kitchen with clean and functioning appliances. The fenced backyard was a nice space for the dog to have some sniffs. The property would be perfect for larger groups, too, and people would not feel squashed. Plus there’s a second full kitchen upstairs. Large screen TVs in living room and each bedroom. We would highly recommend the property and would definitely reserve again.

We were in town for a funeral & this house suited our needs perfectly. Location to everything was great. We really enjoyed having the 2 separate floors that had their own beds, baths, kitchens & living rooms. It was very cozy & comfortable.

Despite not hearing from the property manager till 6:45 about the door code even though check in was supposed to be at 4. Everything else was wonderful about the house and our stay there

Had everything we needed. Very clean. Only thing missing was blankets. It was nice not to have to pack towels and linens and stuff. Thank you.

We are formerly from Erie/Fairview and moved to Pittsburgh about 7 years ago and miss many things about our longtime home, including Presque Isle. We were not able to go to the ocean/beach this year and decided to make a quick 4 day trip to Erie with our adult kids. This isn’t beach front property, but it’s a great location and far less expensive! The set up includes two kitchens, obviously can be two separate residences. There are 2 Q bedrooms, I full bath and a small kitchen plus living room on the first floor. On the second, 1 K, 1Q, 1Bath and a larger kitchen, plus LR. All comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, ceiling fans in most rooms, (air conditioner in great working order!) kitchen supplies in both and all around decent place to stay. The home has obviously been updated - inside and out - and the appliances are also new. You’re close to the center city and just a short drive to the Bayfront and the Beach. Entry in and out was such a simple process and the owner was easily accessible and checked in see how we were doing. A great experience…the weather was wonderful and we had a lovely time being together. You should bring hair dryer, toilet paper and paper towels (a given for most places) along with any games/puzzles/cards you may want. All other supplies, including clean towels/sheets are there. Have fun!

Our stay was wonderful. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we were still able to find things to do. The house is beautifully decorated and clean. We loved that we could bring our dog. The host was easy to reach in case we had any issues. We would stay here again
