We were in town for a retirement. This cozy house was truly home away from home. Cozy and inviting. She was stocked with more than you could imagine to make the stay easy. The location was great, easy to access. We were able to head out the the beaches a few days and it was super great to be able to come back and hose everything off before our return home. Highly recommend and would stay again

We stayed here for two nights to drop off our kids at camp, a big trip with lots of logistics coming from NYC, and this sweet house was such a welcome respite, the perfect place to stretch out. We loved the swing on the front porch (lovely reading spot), and the screened in porch our back was just the right size for yoga with my kids. Amazing attention to detail — candy jars, coffee and creamer, snacks, and lovely toiletries. A great family alternative to the motels and B and Bs in town, it’s a 5 min drive from the shops and restaurants we love in New Bern.

Amazing two bedroom cottage on plenty of land, super clean and up to date. Beds were very comfortable and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in this house. Very up to date, tons of amenities and extras. Highly recommend this house!!

We enjoyed our stay in New Bern! This house is very clean and well stocked with anything you would need. Beds are very comfortable. Close to town, but not in town. Convenient to all areas. Loved both the front and back porches! Especially the porch swing. Just what we needed. We will be back! Thank you Maura and Peter.

Your property is gorgeous and we are lovef being so close to downtown New Bern! You did a fantastic job with renovating and decorating this lovely home. My travel buddy and I have stayed at many VRBO's and this is one of the nicest at which we have been. The proximity to downtown makes it very appealing. The cleanliness, your notes, the snacks, coffee, kitchen basics, laundry basics, and personal touches are amazing. The local literature was also very helpful. I can understand why your reviews are always so positive!!! If I have a reason to be in New Bern again, I would definitely seek out this property!

This was the second time I have stayed in this property. Everything was great and the location near my family was perfect. Communication with the owner during a trip delay due to weather was excellent. Highly recommend this property. Look forward to staying again in the future.

My sister and I are originally from New Bern, we just don't get to go back often or as much. Since we had an ample amount of time off for the holidays, we decided to book this place (after reading reviews). We were super close to all of our favorite places to eat (Smithfield's Chicken &BBQ) and (Hwy55), just a couple (too many to list)!!! Maura's place has cute decor, I hated that I couldn't enjoy coffee on the porch (it was too cold), but I did love the porch swing! Overall, it was a great stay!!! Thank you Maura!!!!

We came into town specifically for the Mumfest. The location of the house for this was ideal. And while most people jack up the prices of their rentals for this exact weekend, the pricing was very fair. I loved all of the originality that the house still had. All of the extra touches were especially homey. Everyone in the family said we should definitely stay there again and I agree.

House hunting so wanted to be close to a lot of things like groceries, gas stations, downtown. Maura always got back to us quickly to answer any questions. Host was thoughtful and left tea-coffee-snacks-water out for guests which is so kind and helps to make being away seem like home.

Highly recommend this very welcoming home in New Bern. During cooler weather, a convenient walk to shopping, dining and hospital. Very quiet neighborhood. Loved sitting on the porch swing in the mornings and evenings. Just a short drive to downtown. Beds very comfortable. Nice fenced back yard. A place I could live.

The cottage is awesome. It is clean and very comfortable. The owners are super easy to work with and very good communicators. New Bern is a fun and funky little town. This is a fun and funky little cottage to come home to. We gave the experience 5 stars even though we gave location 3 stars. If you want waterfront, choose a waterfront hotel. If you want a nice place to come home to after a fun filled day or evening, choose this cottage.

We stayed two nights in this restful and relaxing house. It was instant relaxation. No clutter and beautifully decorated. Convenient to the friends we were visiting and to town. We enjoyed the b back porch in the mornings. Also a swing and chairs on the front porch. We loved the soothing paint color and the mattresses were perfect. A great space and hope to return some day. We loved the location, accessibility to Downtown New Bern and surrounding neighborhoods. We were in town to paint with the New Bern Plein Air event workshops. Thoroughly enjoyed the event and outstanding artworks, restaurants Penningtons on the Water, Lawsons Creek and the local favorites. Accommodations were wonderful, comfy, relaxing and everything we expected. thank you Maura for a delightful and refreshing environment. So relaxing! Loved the screened in porch with birds singing in the morning.
