The property is located directly across the street from the Tower of London. This is convenient for this single tourist attraction, but everything else you want to see is a 20+ minute tube or taxi ride. I suggest somewhere close to Waterloo station if you plan to visit: Stonehenge, Windsor, or Hampton vis train. This location on Tower Hill is not bad though with beautiful views of the city skyline and excellent dining and photography options within walking distance.
The flat itself was very clean but showing lots of wear. The layout was a bit awkward with odd angles in the restrooms causing them to feel cramped. There are 2 bedrooms, one with an onsuite bathroom. The seperate second bathroom is rather terrible to shower in. There is no way to shower without being attacked by the shower curtain unless you are a small child.
All of the above would lend itself to a 4 star rating. But then there is the property management without hospitality and the location directly above a pub with very loud noises ALL night. First the property management... it was hot during our stay amd the property has no AC. I asked the property manager for fans. I was told to go buy a fan and submit it for reimbursement. In my book that defines the laws of hospitality. They want me to spend my holiday time running erands to purchase basic infrastructure their property should already have. I couldn't fit this in with our busy agenda so we slept with the windows open making the loud noise even louder.

This is a comfortable unit in an amazing location with incredible views of the Tower of London and London Bridge. Easily walkable neighborhood and just adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel.
We had two issues.
First, the key access instructions are clear and easy to follow but the instructions to enter the unit are quite confusing as they direct you to floors in contradiction. That was figured out eventually.
Secondly - this unit has no ventilation or AC other than the windows - which - as mentioned provide great views. However- the temperature inside the unit with the windows closed is nothing less than stifling. This is caused by ambient heat emanating from the water heater and kitchen appliances. The interior temp exceeded 80 degrees F when we entered.
It was much better with all of the windows wide open but obviously extremely loud and noisy as the unit sits at the corner of a busy intersection. So unless you want to sleep with the windows open you will be uncomfortable.
We inquired about fans and were told that we could purchase them and leave them in the unit but would not be reimbursed or credited.
Inhospitable and unaccommodating reaponse.
I should note that this was in early June and during our stay it was cloudy with temperatures in the high 50’s to low 60’s F - so in the summer it must be unbearable.
With a more accommodating response or better disclosure about the lack of AC, this would have been a 5-Star stay.

Great flat in a great location.

Location was perfect. Across the street from London Tower, easy access to the Tube and pubs within easy walking distance. Neighborhood is pretty quiet and I was not disturbed by any street noise at night.
Plenty of room in the flat and it has a working elevator making luggage easier to get upstairs. The flat itself could use a few renovations. It is looking a little tired. Everything we needed functioned and we spent very little time in the flat anyway. During our stay the building had scaffolding around it blocking our view. I'm sure once the scaffolding is removed, the view will be amazing.
Overall, the location is excellent and with a few renovations this flat is a perfect place to stay to enjoy all London has to offer.

The location is very good near attractions and transportation. Normally would have great view but is currently blocked by scaffolding and construction wrapping. The apartment was comfortable but there was not a single square of toilet paper or sheet of paper towels. After travelling overnight and into the evening we had to do shopping immediately. Absence of a coffee maker required me to leave the apartment each morning to purchase some. Several attempts to contact property manager for issues with Wi-Fi and refrigerator were unsuccessful. I was eventually able to resolve these issues myself, but not without some frustration

The property is literally a 3 min walk from Tower Hill Underground station and Thames Link, which made getting around super easy. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are literally across the street.
Pros: location, views, private entrance to building, lift in the building, spacious, double glass windows
Cons: (disclaimer: we didn’t contact the owner about any of these - we were too busy touring)
1) Appears this may be a newly rented unit or it hadn’t been occupied in a long time since it lacked several basic amenities (no additional rubbish bags, no wash cloths, only 3 partial rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 5 days, no plunger, no laundry soap).
2) Cleaning was rather abysmal - found lipstick smudged around rims of drinking glasses (disgusting), significant dust along the baseboards, mold on second shower head and along the caulking, table and counters were not wiped down, and could easily see clothes behind the dresser
3) Very noisy, even with double windows. Bedrooms face a major thoroughfare and all night you’ll hear traffic, emergency vehicles, motorcycles racing, etc.
4.) Not the owners fault…advised of exterior scaffolding 1 wk before stay; instead entire building was wrapped in curtains - became very hot with no airflow and inability to fully open windows (daytime temps around 26C)
5.) Obtaining keys from a location a few blocks away wasn’t very convenient
Overall, trade-off is location and convenience versus cleanliness and noise

When we arrived one restroom had half a roll of toilet paper, the other restroom had an empty roll on the rack. Not a spare roll in the house. Not a scrap of Kleenex or any paper towels. We emailed the management company and got no response.
We booked this apartment months ago, then a month before we left they emailed us saying that there may be some scaffolding outside during our stay. We emailed back asking the extent of the scaffolding and if there would be construction noises. We received no response. The scaffolding completely covers every window. It's not possible to see anything outside, and the entire apartment is dark during the day. To know the weather, you walk down 3 flights of stairs and go outside. You can't sleep past 8am, as that is the time the workers start scraping/banging on the walls. The work is so intense, they knocked the upper portions of the blinds off of 2 different windows. There were several broken items that needed replacing or could be fixed easily, but were simply neglected. The front coat rack was broken. I was easily able to fix it. The fact that someone saw this and left the rack in a shambles says alot about the upkeep. The garbage can had a pointy wire sticking out for the stepper. The wire is a hazard for children and shows general neglect.
This place shouldn't be on VRBO. If it were, there should be disclaimers about the construction. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are on an extreme budget and the owners discount the stay
