About this apartment rental
Our elegant, impeccably kept one bedroom condo on the 9th Floor of Hilo Lagoon Centre is the perfect spot to stay for enjoying Hilo town, Hawaii's best kept secret. With views of Mauna Kea and a short walk to the ocean parks on Hilo Bay, you have the best of what Hilo offers. This condo features a spacious one bedroom with a hardwood king sized bed, closet, and en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a step-in tub with shower, toilet, and sink with vanity mirror. The full kitchen has everything you need to cook in the condo including a full sized range with oven, full sized refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, rice cooker, InstaPot, panini press, and so much more. Sit at our modern bar and sample island brews in our elegant glassware. The living room has a comfortable sofa and side chair for enjoying entertainment on the flat screen TV with Free Wi-Fi and basic cable channels. Our unit has two small balconies for enjoying Hilo and mountain views. The condo is fully airconditioned with two temperature control units.
The Hilo Lagoon Condo complex has a large outdoor pool that is available for your use. There is a coin operated laundry room on the 9th floor for your use and the building has 24 hour security and off-street parking. This is the best place to stay in downtown Hilo for travelers and remote workers alike! We request responsible guests only in our high-end unit, please.

I am a little torn The room was everything we expected and we were perfectly happy.
Hilo is struggling a bit economically so the building was a bit worn. Given there are some businesses in it I would think it would be a bit better.
Would I stay again? Yes.

Nice, clean place that is close to many restaurants, shopping, and beaches. The soap and shampoo provided was really poor quality so bring your own. The room was fairly bright and I’d have appreciated some blackout curtains, but it was still nice and quiet at night. Having an extra blanket would have been nice as there was only a thin bedspread and a small blanket that wasn’t long enough for me and wasn’t wide enough to share. Other than these few substandard amenities, it was an enjoyable stay.

Pluses:Building centrally located for all my MM visit wishes.Unit satisfied space wishes.Parking & 24 hr security appreciated.Happy with quick response to questions I had once I arrivedConcerns:Although the thermostat was set at 70 the temp read 52 when I arrived. The unit took about 36 hours to get to a comfortable temp. I had to stack pillowa to keep some of the cold air off me.I could not get the sliding glass door in the bedroom to open. When I arrived there were used coffee grounds in the coffee maker.It also appeared the front, right burner of the stove had been used and not cleaned.The day after I left you reached out to me about a key that was never there that housekeeping inquired about.

We stayed in this delightful condo for a week in January and enjoyed every minute of it. The view was great, the location convenient, and the management very friendly and easy to communicate with. The furnishings are attractive, including a full kitchen, and the unit was very clean and well-maintained. All the supplies we needed for our stay were provided.The Hilo Lagoon Centre sits next to the Wailoa River State Recreation Area, within easy walking distance of several good restaurants and less than a mile from downtown and the famous Hilo Farmer's Market. Our stay included free parking, pool access, and plenty of other amenities. Now for the negatives.....oh, wait, there weren't any! For less than the cost of a hotel room, you can enjoy a private, comfortable home-away-from-home where you can watch the sunset from your balcony while planning your next day's Big Island adventure.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication was excellent, the condo was nicely decorated and well maintained, the bed was really comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location of this property was very close to downtown and it was great to have our own parking spot. We would definitely stay at this property again. Thanks!

The suite has everything you need for a nice stay in Hilo. The property manager is easy to deal with and instructions were clear. The building is older and a bit ‘out in the open’ but it’s well maintained, secure and very comfortable.

vrbo and salt water vacations hawaii were spot on with their description of the rental and included amenities. there were unexpected amenities like a cooler w/ wheels for the beach, 2 directors chair for the beach. location was perfect for accessibility to the canoe races at Hilo Bay and to resources in Hilo town.

Booked this condo for a few days in May. Hilo is so quaint and welcoming! It's like a piece of the past come to life. This condo is nicely furnished and had everything I needed to feel at home. Nice furniture, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen. I did some cooking but there's also lots of places to eat within easy walking distance. LOVED Just Cruisin Coffee and Kenichi Ramen. There's a huge park with a lake / river waterway right behind the building, so it feels very peaceful even though its in town. Fantastic beach parks just a few minutes' drive. The place was SPOTLESS and very well maintained. Communication with the property manager was seamless. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The condo is beautifully furnished - nice linens, quality furniture and a very well-appointed kitchen. The views of Mauna Kea were spectacular. We would definitely recommend this condo to future travelers and will seek it out for future family visits.

My parents visited us from the mainland and we needed extra space. I was so happy to find this condo from a locally owned company. The unit was immaculate! The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to cook and it’s walking distance to great restaurants. My parents really loved walking to the lagoons in the mornings. Nice views from the condo and my folks said the bed was super comfortable. This will be our go to condo when friends and family visit Hilo.
