Mi sono piaciuti molto la vista, il panorama, l'aria pulita e il borgo in generale (pulito, accogliente e silenzioso).
La strada di accesso è scomoda e i ristoranti non offrono cucine per celiaci nè altri problemi di salute.

Beautiful small village in the hills of Peruglia.
Nice views, great option to use the pool.
Well designed apartment.
There are no facilities for cooking (salt, oil)

A wonderful place to stay - peaceful, comfortable, well equipped with everything you could need and full of character. Like stepping back in time but with all the modern conveniences. The staff were exceptional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and served in the Osteria.
We all loved it!

Hosts are incredible and the little village is stunning. There is a pool with view to the village surrounded by nature. The Osteria is a must!

La location fantastica

Stunning apartments right in the old town. It felt like we were in a medieval movie set. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the apartment was huge and well equipped. The restaurant on site, Osteria dello sportello, has to be amongst the best in Italy. Breakfast also was simple but very good.
There was no air conditioning or fan, and in the middle of an Italian heatwave, the apartment was very hot at night. There is limited parking for guests on a first in, first served basis. Any spare parks get snapped up by diners going to the restaurant, even though they’re marked “guests only”. If you miss a park, as we did, you have to park well down the hill and walk up. These minor niggles didn’t distract from a fabulous stay.

Borgo San Valentino is a unique, gorgeous property - when you stay there you feel like you're going back in time. We stayed there for several nights with friends and used it as a starting point for driving around and exploring Umbria. The staff were very friendly and helped us to make reservations at local restaurants we would never have found on our own. I wish we had known to book the restaurant on site in advance as it looked amazing but was unfortunately fully booked by the time we arrived. The breakfast was lovely and quite extensive by Italian standards. We will definitely stay there again, even if only for a night so that we can enjoy a long dinner in the osteria!
The wifi didn't really work but we were out most of the day anyway, so it didn't really matter for us. But if you need strong wifi, then bring your own hotspot. If you stay in the winter time before the heat can be turned on, please also be sure to bring warm clothes as the buildings are old (but they do provide plenty of blankets).

The Osteria attached to these apartments is very good. The views from the walls of this hilltop town are splendid. You can walk to nearby towns. The apartment was well equipped for cooking your own meals. The swimming pool located in the gardens of a private home a 7 minute walk downhill from the apartment, was a lovely spot to relax.
This place is very high up, lots of steps to climb and the Wifi simply never worked. It can be difficult to get a parking spot.

This is a spectacular location within a small, medieval village. The atmosphere, people, staff and scenery is beyond. We had the most amazing stay. The restaurant should not be missed and has incredible food.

The location, the scenery, the village.
I had reserved a superior apartment for €679/week. Instead we got a standard apartment with the promise that we would be charged accordingly. Standards for that week ranged from roughly €388 to €488. We were charged €600.
The apartment was big but had no seating area, no couch, no armchairs. The wifi was not working until 2 days after arrival. There was no salt/pepper. A sponge and dishwashing liquid arrived several days later, a dish towel never did. On arrival there was no stove but was brought later the same day. The oven was defunct. The terrace only had one rickety table on it. On request 2 chairs were added 2 days later. Also on request a cutting board and pot with lid arrived 2 days later. Breakfast would have been available at a café at the bottom of the village, too inconvenient so we made our own. The pool is not a 5-minute walk away, more like a drive of at least 5 minutes. The bedroom upstairs had no armoire or dresser. There was a table with the TV, the view of which from the bed obstructed by the bed end instead of being downstairs in a seating area. The business's website showed a number of apartments, none corresponding to the one we inhabited. I have never had a problem with booking.com. This is the first time.
