About this house rental

We are offering our year-round home with a private beach on Lake Champlain in Shelburne, Vermont. The house is located on a quiet, private road winding between an orchard and the original enclave of the homes and cottages on the lakeshore.  Located at the broadest part of the lake, the property provides panoramic westerly views across the water towards the Adirondack Mountains. Relax on the wide, private, flatstone swimming beach and enjoy sunsets, campfires and the stars at night. The house features a spacious living room, dining and kitchen and screened sun porch spaces with lake views that are perfect for family gatherings. Outdoor dining on the bluestone patio is off the kitchen overlooking the lake and yard. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a large loft space. Amenities include a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer and internet service. Centrally located, the house offers lake shore living within 30 minutes of downtown Burlington and 40 minutes of Middlebury. There is convenient shopping in Shelburne and South Burlington and the easy excursions to the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, the Charlotte town center and by ferry ride to historic Essex, New York.

We had a lot of rain, but it was a perfect place to sit in a glassed in room and play some scabble. The home is spacious and the view from the water is lovely. The area around is spectacular.

What a beautiful location. A great place to stay while we celebrated our daughter’s graduation from UVM. The views are spectacular. And plenty of room for our family.

The house is beautiful, clean, well organized with plenty of space for us, my in-laws and two teenagers. We went for the eclipse and the location was perfect for being able to view it away from the crowds. The view of the lake and mountains was breathtaking. The town itself was lovely - we enjoyed the various places to eat which had plenty of options for the vegetarians and vegan among us. Anne was very proactive in her communication and was prompt and responsive with any question I had. I highly recommend this listing due to the location, the house and the great owner!
