This cozy gulf front cottage is the perfect Cedar Key vacation home to relax and unwind! Situated right on the water, enjoy incredible views from your backyard. Are your dates already booked at Calypso Cottage? Try one of our other cute cottages, Blue Chair Key or Key Lime! Calypso Cottage is a two bedroom, one bathroom home that sleeps up to four people. The master bedroom features a king sized bed. There is an adjacent guest bedroom (with entrance through the master bedroom), which features a full sized bed. The kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking needs or the home is located just a short walk from local restaurants on Dock Street and downtown!

A golf cart is available at the home for rental if desired! Inquire if interested!

This home is pet friendly for up to one dog under 20 pounds. Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 1 pet maximum.

The old fish house was awesome! There’s a lot of history in cedar key and the houses on first street!! It was great! We go often!!

Even though the power was out for the first couple of hours due to a bad storm, we found the cottage very comfortable and clean. Cute decor and well equipped kitchen made for a very nice stay. Highly recommend this property.

Super cute water front cottage. Walking distance to every where you want to be in Cedar Key. Property manager responds very quickly to concerns. Had a request that was granted very quickly. When we come back, we will definitely stay here again.

Overall Calypso Cottage was awesome! There were a few small issues but the management team was very responsive and took care of things with urgency! Only wish was for a screened room and better yet, one with a pool in it!!!! We will stay at Calypso again!!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Calypso Cottage had everything we needed in a fantastic location with stunning views, hundreds of ocean birds, and pods of dolphin so close you can almost touch them. Be sure to get some delicious Cedar Key clams and oysters to shuck and eat beside the beautiful Gulf waters in the backyard! The staff was extra friendly, the cottage was very comfortable and generously stocked with extra towels, pillows, and other little luxuries. We had everything we needed (and more) for a memorable vacation. We would love to stay here again.

Everything was as advertised, fantastic location, beautiful and clean home. We really enjoyed our first time in Ceda Key and a large part of that positive experience was staying at Calypso Cottage. Working with the property manager was super easy and they were very accommodating and prompt with correspondence.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, right on the water and only a short walk to the shops and restaurants on the island. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a beachy farmhouse style. The only negatives were that there were no facial tissues or papertowels/napkins to be found, we should have brought our own. Also the bathroom doesn't have a vent, window or even a candle or air freshener. Still we enjoyed our stay. Very cute vacation place.

We loved this home! I love the history and all the stories this home could tell. It was super comfy and updated and the towels and sheets are luxurious and plentiful. The water view and the front porch were heavenly. I definitely would love to come back.

We loved the cottage it was very clean well maintained with the perfect location! It was very well stocked with things you may need! Make sure you rent the golf cart with the cottage it’s the best way to get around in cedar key!

The Calypso Cottage was an incredible place to stay in Cedar Key! The cottage itself was beautifully appointed in every way. The King Bed was SO comfortable and all linens were high quality. The kitchen passed my husband’s standards as a professional chef and we were able to cook up the fish that we caught with everything a chef could want! The views were incredible and the porch was a perfect spot for morning coffee. Perfect for kids and adults….a 10/10, highly recommend! We can’t wait to come back!

The place was really nice. It was well decorated , comfortable and clean. You can walk downtown which is really close like 1/4 mile. The golf cart was totally worth it and lots of fun. The views were nice but not as expansive as the pictures imply. A large above pool with cage obstructs most views to the left of the property facing to the ocean. Parking can be tough with a boat. The only parking is a single lane between the cottages and a large tree partially blocks the entrance. Cars no problem, but boats on a trailer -- very tricky. Dont park on the sidewalk - tickets will be issued - trust me on that one. Would I come back here ? - totally.

We enjoyed our stay at Calypso Cottage. It had everything we needed for a great week. It was clean & well stocked with linens. Fantastic view off the back deck & close to dining. The most beautiful sunset view was just down the street.

Enjoyed our stay in Cedar Key. Nice walks by the sea, good restaurants some doggie friendly, important to us. Cottage very nice and comfortable. Our only complaint is the mattress on the bed at 33 inches was too high for us old folks.

What a beautiful house! Absolutely comfortable and relaxing. Loved the wood floors, comfortable bed, easy access to town and soft linens. Being on the water was lovely and both front and back porches were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed your bikes but forgot to mention the ladies seat needs a screw but was able to ride it easily. I didn’t cook anything but all cookware, dishes and appliances were like new..

This restored historic cottage is charming and super-clean. My husband and I really loved our stay and immediately felt “at home”. The front porch and the back deck are both beautiful places to sit, relax and enjoy the peaceful view. The interior design is perfect for a seaside cottage. (I was particularly fond of the whimsical octopus bookends.) The host provides a lot of thoughtful touches i.e. nightlight in the bathroom, dimmer switch for the bedside lamp, and 2 beer mugs chilling in the freezer on arrival! Even the towel cupboard is worth a mention; Marie Kondo would be proud of the organizational skills displayed. The management agency takes exceptionally good care of the property and all communications were excellent. We are already planning a return trip!

The location and views are spectacular! Relax, as you slip back in time to “old Florida”. Forget all the stress of the crazy, busy world so many of us live and work in! If you are looking to soak in some amazing sunsets, step onto the back patio and share a beverage or a conversation. If you are looking to explore, take a cruise in the golf cart around the island, paddle in the provided kayaks, walk or bicycle to nearby sights. If fishing is on your agenda there are a multitude of charters to choose from and rest assured, you will bring in the fish! Don’t feel like cooking, local spots such as Steamers will prepare your catch for you. And when you just want to enjoy the breeze, the front porch swing is all you need! Thanks for a great getaway, less than a tankful of gas away!

The cottage is in a great location. The cottage definitely needs to be cleaned. The thickness of the dust on top of the doors frames was shocking. The pad on the sofa bed was heavily soiled. The dust/animal hair from pulling out the sofa bed caused my daughter to have a sever allergy reaction. We ended up having to pay for another condo for her to stay in. There was food on the floor around the bottom of the stove. There was a load of towels in the dryer that housekeeping did not take care before our check in. The refrigerator strongly smelled of raw shrimp or fish. It does have great views.
