We loved staying at this property. We were eight adults staying for a week. The house is lovely, comfortable and spacious with wonderful front and back porches and a backyard firepit set in the woods with plenty of Adirondack chairs. The beds were comfy, spacious common areas, great kitchen for cooking/dining. Caroline was responsive as was her maintenance person when we had a problem with the dishwasher. Location is great, we walked/biked to town and elsewhere. Great choice all around!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is spacious, well-laid out and wonderfully decorated. We appreciated the 3 king beds, as well as the trail behind the house. Communication with the property manager was smooth and easy. Highly recommend.

Exactly as described, the photos on the listing do not do it justice. Comfortable, roomy and perfect for our group. Location was close enough to the highlights of the area but far enough away for some quiet downtime. Would stay here again if returning with a larger group.

Location, home amenities and yard were perfect. Kids could play football and soccer, made s’mores over the fire pit and the TV’s entertained the little ones. Everyone had a great time. The only recommendation is update the bedrooms.

Our first impression of the house was how spacious and very clean it was. The property owner (Ross) was very attentive and accommodating. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to lots of fun activities. We enjoyed hiking and biking in the state park. Also had fun at Nicolet beach. Visited a local winery and even spent an evening at the local drive in movie theater. Overall we enjoyed a fun and super relaxing vacation here and would happily rent again.

Very peaceful and lots of space to get together but also lots of space to take a break from each other. Most activities were not a long ride. I walked into town three days which was about 1.3 miles for some shops including a coffee shop. Upstairs rooms were a little warmer than we like but we also love to sleep very very cool.

We has a great time.
We have gone to Fish Creek a number of times. The property was close to town but also far enough away to seem like we were all alone in the country.

We rented the house as a 60th bday present to my mother in law. There was a group of us there and we felt the place was very roomy for everyone to enjoy a comfortable stay. The property is great and has a nice wooded area in the back, walking distance to the state park. It was a wonderful place for both young and old!

Four bedrooms, three bathrooms! Terrific kitchen, deck and gas fireplace all on a gorgeous lot. We loved walking into town each morning for coffee and gazing at the stars and lake each evening. Check this house out for your family vacation.

Our entire family loved staying at Gibraltar Lodge. It’s large, very quiet and was well stocked, especially the kitchen. We cooked a couple of meals and were never in want of a tool or appliance. Ross Lunn has thought of everything! He’s a very gracious host and always answered calls or emails promptly. We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants a quiet, large space.

We had a fabulous stay at clean and comfortable Gibraltar Lodge in Fish Creek, WI.
Ross was great to work with from start to finish and extremely responsive to any questions I had.
We appreciated that our pups were welcomed (for a pet fee arranged in advance) and that an easy hiking path leads from the house into the Peninsula State Park.
The kitchen here is a cook's dream with its well stocked utensils, knives, glasses (for any kind of beverage) and thoughtful touches like frosted beer mugs in the refrigerator and plates or bowls of all sizes.
Our favorite place to gather was around the center chopping block area for snacks, drinks and a nice charcuterie spread. The deck out back is very big and a great place to sit at night too.
We enjoyed the indoor fireplace and playing cards at the table. The home is decorated nicely and the high ceilings make the great room feel so open and spacious.
Wifi is a little weak but it's okay if you're trying to escape everything for a while and take a real break from your devices.
The house is easy to find and convenient to get on and off Hwy 42. Great place. You won't be disappointed.

This is a beautiful home set on a large lot surrounded by native hardwood trees. There is forest in the back area with a fire pit where we roasted marsh mellows in the moonlight. The seven of us were very comfortable. The house has large rooms, a large well-equipped kitchen and a deck that seats eight for BBQ dinners. Ross anticipates every need in furnishing the house. He's really a great guy and we enjoyed getting to know him. We'll be back!

Wonderful family vacation spot!

Absolutely wonderful setting for the family vacation. The house is set up for a larger family as it allows for multiple settings to gather. The house is set back on a small country road and the lot behind is spectacular with a fire pit that will host a small city.
The house is a stone's throw from Fish Creek and the entrance to Peninsula State Park. Nice thing about Fish Creek is that it is close by to all the other small towns and easily accessible by Route 42.
We have gone to Cape Cod in the past with family but not anymore......Door County is Cape Cod here in the midwest.
The owner, Ross, is hospitable and there to make sure everything is what you want it to be.
I'd give it SIX STARS if possible......Trust me, you will enjoy the time with family here.

We loved this home. We have been coming to Door County since our children were young and now they are coming with grandchildren. Our extended families have stayed in 4 nice homes over the past 6 years, but this was our clear favorite. The entire layout was beautiful and very clean. The outdoor amenities were great, like a nice yard, spacious deck and porch, and fire pit. The kitchen and eating area could accommodate everyone comfortably. The loft area was very nice and it allowed for people to spread out if they wanted to read or be on their laptop. One of the bedrooms on the first floor had an amazing desk, that would be helpful if someone needed to "work from home". The location was a short walk/drive to Fish Creek. There were other houses in the area, but nicely distanced; it was very quiet at night. We will definitely use this same house on future trips if it is available.

We had a great getaway and enjoyed our stay! The house is in a fantastic location yet very quiet and secluded. The highlights were the property and backyard for sure. Everything was very clean and we just walked in the door to check in!
It was great for our 3 teens who stayed in the 2 bedrooms on the main floor and then we stayed in the master upstairs and my parents stayed in the queen upstairs as well. They struggled with the very tiny bathroom a bit and it was quite hot in their room but other than that, the set up was ideal.
The kitchen was very large and had lots of space for all of us to cook and hang out since we were limited on going out due to covid.
We loved having the deck and grill - it was beautiful at night! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location very near Fish Creek. Not on the water, but close to the state park entrance and the beach in Fish Creek. The home is large and airy. Lots of beautiful wood and shared spaces. The yard is large with a firepit in the back. Excellent communication with the owner. The only drawback is the very small bathroom in the “second master” bedroom upstairs. We highly recommend this place for a gathering of family and/or friends.

Perfect house for our family vacation with our three twenty something children and spouses/sig others. Large, well-equipped kitchen; perfect for group cooking. Lovely deck, front porch and yard. Excellent Fish Creek location...quiet road with walking and biking access to town and state park. Working with owner Ross was a pleasure. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Gibraltar Lodge. The house was clean and established with all essentials for cooking. We had two toddlers under 3 and the house was safe with not a lot of extra items around that would make a parent nervous their child could break, that was so ideal! We all slept comfortably, the beds are incredible. Then we move to the yard. Seriously we would stay at this house again for the yard alone. So beautiful. You walk out the back patio into a lightly wooded area and path that steps back leads you to an opening in the woods with a fire bit, chairs and swing. So very awesome, we spent lots of time back there. Ross was very quick to respond to questions we had all along the way. Excellent renter and space just minutes to all the action of downtown Fish Creek while still feeling like you’re getting a secluded cabin experience. Stay here!

This was our first visit to Door County.
Nice, clean, big open house with access to Peninsula State Park through a trail in the back yard. We hiked our kids down to the beach on several days (about 3-3.5 miles) and had the in laws meet us down there with the car. There is a burger shack, kayak rentals, and facilities on the Nicollete Beach. Bicycle rentals are everywhere.
Owner makes check-in/check-out and communication extremely easy.

Gibraltar Lodge was the perfect choice for our family of 8, and our first time in Door County. The house was super clean and had everything we needed; The yard was great for playing with the kids; and the location is so central to everything. We would go back in a minute!
