About this cottage rental
A cottage retreat with all the creature comforts you love. This 5-bed, 2-bath lakehouse was thoughtfully designed with groups in mind. There are so many "hangout" spots that allow you to fully immerse yourself: rustic chic dining room, fully equipped kitchen, wood fireplace, large lounge room, screened in porch with surfboard bar, bbq and electric firepit on deck, second outdoor firepit area, large games lawn, private lakefront with dock and watertoys (canoe, kayak, lilypad, floaties etc)
The space
Situated on 1.5 private acres, our lakehouse offers complete privacy. Surrounded by maple, birch and pine trees, you'll instantly feel at ease.
Thirteen Island Lake is a large lake known for swimming, fishing, boating and other water-sports. There are 13 islands, all crown land, meaning guests can take a short canoe ride to a deserted nature-filled island to swim or hike, though our private turf and dock set up is more than sufficient to indulge in a day by the water.
The surrounding area has much to offer if you're looking to explore. Enjoy two golf courses, a winery, brewery and breathtaking hikes at Frontenac Provincial Park, all 10 - 20 minutes drive away. Need to run out to grab something? No problem, Foodland, the LCBO, the Beer Store, Gas station, Home Hardware and more local shops are just 15 minutes away. If you're staying for a while, you could venture into nearby Kingston (40 minutes away) to enjoy a sunny patio, fine dining or 1 complimentary fitness class at F45 Training Bayridge.

We stayed at Lowry Lakehouse for 12 nights with family and close friends and their kids (aged 3-8). Overall, we had a lovely experience and really liked the house. It was well prepared when we arrived. The rooms are nice and everything was clean. The lake is gorgeous and quiet. The house has fun equipment for the lake and playing around.
Lastly, Micela was responsive when we needed to get in touch.

We had a great time at the lake house! The location is great and the access to the lake is ideal to go for a swim, or use the paddleboard, the canoe and floating mat. The lake is big enough so that there are places to explore, but not too big. It's very private, with just a few other houses around the lake. The lake water is clean and it was also surprisingly warm! There are many areas where you can hang out, which makes it ideal for a big group - everyone can have their space outside! There are also many outside games provided, so you are never bored. The brand new ouside deck is perfect for enjoying the outside, just be aware of the many mosquitoes! The owners were very helpful and communication was easy, we had a flat tire when leaving the property and they did not hesitate to offer help! Great lake house!

We enjoyed the house and location on a very nice lake. Lots for adults and kids to do in the water. The house was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Communications with the owners about questions we had beforehand were very well appreciated - they were very helpful! We hope to go back again!

We had an amazing family vacation staying at this great home. The pictures don't do it justice. One of the best things about the house was the back deck that appears to have been added recently since it is not included in the photos. It was huge with plenty of outdoor furniture and glass deck rail panels for unobstructed views and a gate. Great for families with children .
Property is very specious. You have the house with a large back deck, the flat yard where kids can play, a sitting area and fire pit as well as the waterfront area that is well equipped for water activities. A large family can easily spread out and not be on top of each other.
My only concern before booking was not knowing what the lake was going to be like. It did not disappoint. Lake is clean and clear with great swimming and fishing. Plenty of mostly small and medium size fish to be caught from the dock but a two minute canoe trip across the lake to the point of the nearest island has plenty of huge small mouth bass.
The location was perfect for us being so close to West Port, Kingston and family that lives on a neighboring lake. The owners were also great to deal with.
The only con if I had to find one was having to climb some stairs and walk from the house down to the yard then down to the water so I would not recommend for those in a wheel chair or on a walker, but for most people a short walk may be a plus because you can spread out.

Cottage was clean, comfortable , well equipped. Lots of room for 10 people. Lake was lovely. Good fishing right off the dock. Just be aware there are many steps down to the cottage and then many more to the lake.
