Birkby Lodge

Well impressed with Birkby Lodge the place was spot on and everything we needed was there. Location excellent just a ten minute walk to town. Just a small issue gaining access but resolved immediately by phone call. Just a lovely 4 days and hopefully look forward to another visit in the near future.

Can't think of anything negative.

Would recommend, lovely quiet area, plenty parking, right on the coast. Would definitely return.

Superb, extremely clean and comfortable. Lots of space. The little touches (milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, fresh flowers etc.) were very much appreciated. Photos are completely representative of the property.

Struggled with the door code at first but not an issue.

Excellent property

Beautiful property in a great location. Very clean and comfortable.

I used the washing machine which was great, but I couldnt get the tumble dryer to work.

Wonderful stay in Lytham St Anne's

Fabulous accommodation, great location, super amenities. Was over the moon with our stay

Just need to check board games. Went to play a couple and not complete but other that amazing.

Stunning apartment

The apartment was easy to access and beautifully decorated, very clean. It really was stunning. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Fresh milk, tea, coffee and bottled water were a wee added bonus to get you started.

The apartment sleeps 6 people but the dining room only had 5 chairs so we had to let the kids eat first then the adults , we would of rathered all eat together. Also a little information book would be handy, local buses times to take you to Blackpool and where the shops are just little things like that.

The property was beautiful. Lounge, spacious kitchen which included: dining table, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cooker, coffee machine. The lounge and kitchen were on one level with a WC. Great that it was separate from the en suite bedroom, second bedroom with two twin beds and bathroom, all three n the floor above. We had a guest login to Netflix but this was signed out on the Wednesday. I was able to login using my own Netflix account and yes, I remembered to sign out.

It would have been good to have a shaver socket. My electric toothbrush ran out of power and I couldn’t charge it. The Nespresso coffee machine was great but there only 6 capsules. I have a similar machine at home and could have taken a sleeve of capsules with me. I used the 6 capsules and as we were there for 4 nights I had see them all by Thursday and there were was nowhere locally to buy more. That said the owner lived downstairs and he did say if there was anything we needed to let him know, hindsight I should have said about capsules.

Aesthetically the apartment was fab & extremely clean, but too many negatives I’m afraid!

The property is beautifully kitted out.

There are a few things missing in the kitchen, eg no bowl for switching eggs to make scrambled eggs for breakfast. Upstairs bathrooms could be doing with a plastic tumbler when brushing teeth etc. also there are no bins either in rooms or bathrooms! Also need a mirror in the double room shower room as hubby found it very difficult to shave without one!! The shower in this room is pretty bad also, not neatly strong enough, just tickled your back really! Also have to say at this point, the double bed in the master room is the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. Didn’t sleep for 3nights!! So soft we both just rolled onto the middle, this was our biggest disappointment as it didn’t help my back or my husband’s that we both suffer from! The main bathroom’s window wouldn’t open, so that wasn’t good when taking showers, it could do with an xpelair fan too!! Such a shame about the negatives as initially the apartment looked perfect, but I’m afraid these negatives spoiled things considerably!
