Really impressed with this property. Total gem in downtown Walnut Creek. Great location. Basically brand new, clean with excellent amenities. Super friendly staff who assisted with the self check in. Willl definitely be back. Only down side was $35 for parking in under ground garage. But there is street parking.

Great Parking to Start. Absolutely wonderful person checked me in. As for the room, it was brand new and very modern. Really nice. The bathroom was the issue. The lighting is really blue and there is not enough light for a bathroom. The towel rack had a towel that was drying and the wall above it looked to have blood on it. The shower didn't have anything to hold a bar of soap, a razor, or even a wash cloth. The hotel provided bottles of hygiene product, but it didn't have any security device that would prohibit tampering. And it was sitting on the floor of the shower. The modern shower didn't have a wand and it has a half door. Visitors will have to manage the water from leaving the shower and end up all over the floor (Slippery). It appears the low voltage enclosure that houses the Wi_Fi is on the wall next to the bed. The electrical panel is right next to it. If you are light sensitive, it can be annoying. My room didn't have an ironing board. It did have an iron. Maybe they would have delivered if I would have called. The room had a nice clothes washer and dryer. It also had a really nice kitchenette. Impressive.

I mean, it's fine. The staff person could have been nicer upon my arrival. The check-in process isn't exactly laid out before arrival. It felt like I was bothering the person who was sort of trying to help me. I knocked on the door to gain access because I did not see the strange entrance/access. When I had an issue with checking in, she seemed upset about it and when the other person just happened to materialize he didn't acknowledge me at all and just looked at her and said she had to do it manually. With the key card in place ready to program, she just looked at me and took my credit card. I asked about parking and the rate as I was told I needed to do that upon arrival, she said I needed to pay that separately downstairs (I parked B1). I scanned the code and it was $35/night and not $20. I immediately sent the establishment an message through their app. No response. Upon checkout I received a statement (after I was already on the road) that I was charged $20/night for parking. I wrote again on the app. No response. I can't really decide if I liked this experience or not. Was the place clean, safe, and centrally located within walking distance to center of town? Yes. The climate control was not user friendly (I've work tech and can figure things out, but this was weird). I figured it out, but it's possible it was just me tired from driving and stressing about making sure I arrived with the two hour window or risk losing access. I can write more...

Heads up!! This is a brand new place so hopefully they work out the bugs as the location is prime! I won’t go into a long winded rant as I will give them the befit of the doubt as it is a brand new operation. The one thing I wish I knew was that there is nobody who works at the front. It is all automated. So any issues (which there is and was) are a huge pain! When I did finally get help there was as a comment blaming the situation on the future of technology. Hmmm, im in hotels 1/3 of the year and this is my first situation like this one. Other than that and a bed as hard as I have experienced and those pillows that are paper thin. It is a decent place with the optimum location.
