Suitable for a short stopover and good value if you are on a budget. Pleasant helpful staff. No fuss. Clean. Free parking on site.

I used it for work and thus it was adequate. Perfect for workers just staying for a job.
The mattress was the old fashioned buttons type, but as solid as new. I like the firmer mattresses so I slept comfortably. Shower was cold as it has not radiator/heater. The main room had a comfy electric heater on the wall.
Cold wetroom.

Nice location.
The room was freezing! Bed was hard and probably the smallest single bed I have ever seen. Luckily I had only booked one night and was exhausted from travelling. Compared to to a travelodge I'd stayed in the previous night at the same price there was absolutely no comparison.

The staff and service was great, the room was warm and clean.
It wasnt good value for money. And when I hear hotel I expect that there will be dining facilities but there wasnt, and nothing much in the village so some food would've been good.

Location was great
The staff made us feel nervous. It felt like we were being watched, one man stood outside the hotel and watched us the whole time we were going for a walk. When we arrived (to a very scruffy hotel) two men came to the door drinking energy drinks and didn’t really speak. It was a very strange place. I had booked a single room, but ended up sleeping in the triple room with friends as I didn’t feel safe on my own.

Clean bed & room
Hotel looks tired - spoke to a local at the Black Isle show who said she thought it was closed!

Location was good as we travelled on to Ullapool in the morning.
Both rooms were awful, smelly bathroom, cold, towel rail hanging off the wall. Window in room 7 would not close properly. A constant dripping kept us up till 4am just an awful night sleep. Rock hard beds well used.

Very run down. No hot water in hand basin. Door lock needed repair. Overall hotel really run down with limited facilities. Facade is shocking and overgrown garden. Bemused customers arriving and surprised. Not recommended- kids horrified but had a few laughs.
Overall appearance and facilities. Lucky to be 3 star. Have to say Strathpeffer looked run down and bedraggled based on the main st. Not sure about the Victorian spa village fanfare. Nowhere nice to eat and things were all closed in the middle or summer and tourism time.

Location
Not very well maintained. Very shabby and over grown from the outside. Most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever tried to sleep in. The mattress should’ve been replaced at least 10 years ago.

There was no breakfast. Not even a coffee. Stay away
Look, smell, cleanses staff. Lack of staff. Lack of well come. Lack of keen wanted.

Didn’t clean room or change my towels once in 10 days.
The pictures on the site are obviously years old as the building looked derelict from the road and really isn’t inviting to look at.
The interior decor needs to be completely refurbished and the exterior needs a gardener to remove all the overgrow and weeds.

Shower was good and the room was spacious and clean
Very dated decor and poor appearance from outside

Lovely welcome from staff, plus later phonecall to check all was okay. Room was very clean, fresh and well equipped. It was a great touch they had opened the window and closed the curtains prior to my arrival as it was a very hot day. Very quiet overnight, slept soundly. Shower good and everything you needed was in the room. Location pleasant for an evening walk.

No hot water at basin, so had to boil the kettle to get a shave. (the electric shower worked perfectly)
