Dececionante

O quarto tinha vista para o mar. A água do chuveiro era quente e com boa pressão. As toalhas de banho estavam em boas condições.

Assim que chegámos fomos informados que a cabana por nós reservada tinha o ar condicionado estragado tendo nos sido, portanto, atribuída outra cabana. O acesso a esta cabana era feito através de escadas precariamente construídas, íngremes e perigosas, especialmente para subir e descer com bagagem. Apesar de estas escadas serem o único acesso à nossa cabana e não servirem como acesso a mais lado nenhum, os funcionários foram vistos várias vezes a subir e a descer este mesmo acesso e a utilizarem-no para estenderem as suas roupas. A nova cabana que nos foi atribuída tinha o trinco do quarto rebentado, tendo este sido substituído após a nossa chegada à mesma (poderia ter sido substituído antes). A nova cabana também tinha o ar condicionado estragado, tendo sido chamada a atenção dos funcionários para este problema várias vezes; apesar de algumas tentativas pouco técnicas para resolver o problema, o mesmo persistiu durante toda a nossa estadia. Poderia ter-nos sido atribuída outra cabana após as nossas numerosas chamadas de atenção, já que existiam várias outras cabanas disponíveis. Na cama da cabana que nos foi atribuída, apenas existia um resguardo para o colchão e um lençol interior, não havendo qualquer outro lençol para nos taparmos. Para além disto, a cabana estava cheia de formigas, tendo estas entrado para as nossas bagagens; num dos cantos da cabana estava também o que parecia ser uma grande acumulação de ovos de inseto (talvez de formiga). Em nenhum momento de toda a nossa estadia no alojamento foi possível aceder ao wi-fi, apesar de este existir. Por fim, a comida servida ao almoço demorou demasiado tempo a ser servida, sendo que o preço da mesma foi excessivo tendo em conta o tempo de espera e a qualidade do mesmo; no último dia da estadia, apesar de termos combinado que o pequeno-almoço seria servido às 8 horas, quando descemos da cabana a essa hora, estivemos ainda mais meia hora à espera que o mesmo fosse servido.

Very good

The hotel is located on an amazing beach. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and happy to help with any request. highly recommend

The place has potential. It can easily be turned into a great place with a few changes. 1. You need to add another lock to the door (the existing lock can be opened easily by pushing the door). 2. There is good internet reception in the restaurant, all that is missing is to add a range extender so that the internet can be used in the rooms. The topic of the Internet is super important. 3. Renovate the shower, the shower head is fixed at a horrible angle which makes it very difficult to shower.

Basic room but enough for lonely traveler. Forget the ocean view from the room, go directly to the beach. The staffs are nice.

really great value/money!

great location and supernice stuff. superfood value for money (ac room) and awesome local food (super fair price, not like other places closer to city). u can even see monkeys in the afternoon passing the place for the tree fruits. swimming not possible like at 80% of this beach due to currents, but overall the area is a paradise. close to some other more expensive Ressorts.

The staff was super friendly and the location was perfect. Definitely worth the visit and definitely coming back. Food also was very good and the cabanas were so cute and comfy.

Lovely staff and good value for money. nice little cabanas and sleeping on the sound of the waves (which I like)

it was all very nice but the ‘sea view’ from te cabana is a bit more obstructed than I expected, but would still recommend!

Paradise location and nice restaurant

It is by the sea, literaly in the sand front. Friendly staff and good food. They arrange a tuktuk for us upon request and have exchange currency with real time exchange rates.

The staff forgot the breackfast request so we delay our checkout/trip 30min. Toilet not very confortable with shower too close to WC.

Beautiful beach

Outstanding location, friendly staff, access to a decent beach. The Sri Lankan breakfast was tasty and memorable.

Room was a bit more rustic than anticipated, WiFi was weak in the cabana.

Peculiar wooden room

Location is right on the beach. The accommodation has a restaurant, we had breakfast included and dinner we had was absolutely awesome and for great price (definitely order sea food platter for 2!). We had upstairs room, so view on the sea and beach was nice. Wifi worked. I guess we were lucky because we didn't have problem with noise (apart from sea, it was REALLY loud! 😄) Happy.

I must say its peculiar accommodation, wooden cabin, with windows not fitted properly, big gaps between frame and glass, also gaps in walls 😄 so would be interesting in winter... Bathroom is with concrete floor in shower and you have a feeling it might separate from the room when you move a bit harder or faster 😄 I had to ask for toilet paper and soap and later on even for blanket for night as there were none of these things. But honestly, we liked it very much. All these things were small details and the room was so different from everything else we have stayed at while in Sri Lanka.

Very good

The main value is location - just on the marvelous Tangalle beach. The room was OK, almost with the sea view, breakfasts and other meals in the restaurant were fresh and tasty. A/C worked well, as well as the boiler.

The door's lock is weak, it will not stop the person with bad intentions. Breakfasts were available just from 8.30 AM - definitely too late if you get up for morning swimming.

Nice little cabins right on a quiet beach.

It was right on the beach on the quieter side of Tangalla. The food was very tasty there and the restaurant was fairly busy. The staff were friendly.

2 things I didn't like - we paid for a sea view but didn't get one (well, it was a side sea view but you had to peer through the bushes to get a glimpse of wave!) and the window panes in the toilet/shower were quite low and clear glass so anyone could look in - we hung a sarong up for privacy!

Super accommodating great location

Location right on the beach so beautiful views at meal times from the beach restaurant. Owners were super lovely and helpful and arranged activities for us. Local food was home cooked and delicious and great value for money. Room had aircon. Could do with maybe some mesh screens on the bathroom windows as quite a few bugs and lizards could get in, but that’s to be expected in Sri lanka.

Lovely cabanas

- The staff were friendly, professional, and very accommodating to our needs - The on-site restaurant offered great tasting food and drink options - The proximity to the beach was fantastic (despite the sea view being partially obstructed) - The room itself was very well sized for two travellers

It was a little noisier than I would have liked due to loud music from a neighbouring establishment however this stops around midnight.

Exceptional

I had a wonderful stay, it was exactly what I was looking for, a place directly at the beach. I had lunch, dinner and breakfast there, all of them were amazing, fresh seafood. The staff is very helpful, nice and friendly.

Very peaceful place

Location is great, right on the wild Tangalle beach, about 1 km outside Tangalle, close to a beautiful lagoon that you can explore by kayak. Nice wooden bungalow, with good shaded terace. Room not very spacios, but functional. No AC, but not needed. Confortable bed with moschito protection. Bathroom spacios, functional and pretty clean. We were provided towels and small soap.

Very good

The accommodation is located on the beautiful Marakolliya Beach. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. The cabin was authentic, rustic and cosy. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to relax.

amazing view from the room above the restaurant. you can see the ocean when you wake up and hear the waves while sleeping. It was amazing! I loved staying there. Own little beach with sunbeds
