Nothing
Unclean and odor was horrible. No towels, bed linens were not washed. Location was in the middle of nowhere

This is basically camping with running water. Certainly not ‘deluxe’ as indicated in the room title. While it was acceptable for us it was not described as it should be. Rustic can be negative or positive by definition.
The ad said deluxe! No, this is very basic. A room without curtains, without insulation, not to any building code. It was ok for us as we are used to living off grid but it was not as advertised.

Nature is so close, it feels like sleeping in jungles
Sound isolation between the rooms was pretty much nonexistent, so evening comfort depends on neighbors

Great location, everything was clean and prepared.

This location was truly enchanting, surrounded by nature and a serene environment filled with bird sounds and rainforest vibes. It evoked memories of my childhood home in the village where I grew up.
The only downside for me was the shower; the water either ran extremely hot or cold, making it difficult for me to adjust it to a comfortable warm temperature

The surroundings are amazing, just nature. It is pretty and convenient. Bed is warm, there are towels and parking space.
Some oils and spices for cooking would have been convenient. Communication could have been smoother.

This property has to be my favourite place I’ve stayed so beautiful inside and out. Gorgeous setting and amazing ambiance

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and we were glad we did. The drive into the unit was a bit far (2 miles on paved road, then 2 miles on dirt road and a bit more into the drive way) but I didn't mind especially being rewarded with a beautiful view of wild orchids. Just remember to take it slow when coming back in the dark. All the nearby guests during our stay were very respectful and quiet. The host, Katherine was very nice. She even let us pick the room of our choice since there were a couple when we checked in. Our room looked like it was updated, everything is new; the bed is comfortable and the weather was nice (no need for AC). I thought the iced water bottles in the freezer (outside-shared) for the room cooler is so smart and green. A few bottles were enough to keep our cooler cold for 4 nights. I'm especially thankful for the stove as well. I brought my own coffee and was able to have hot water for it as well as eggs. The room was so clean beyond my expectation (even cleaner than a fancy studio over the Kona side that costed me 4 times as much).
Walls are thin, neighbors and you can hear everything (as expected-written in the room), so try to talk softly. But I think this is the reason why our stay was super peaceful.

Rustic and really in the middle of the jungle. But all we needed...

It suited my needs perfectly. A spacious and well designed room with an en suite toilet and shower with good hot water and, true to its description, a very comfortable bed, the location just 20 minutes from the volcano national park and half an hour from Hilo. Looking out of the window there’s just nature. Even has a stove and everything needed for cooking, which I didn’t use though. Very friendly hosts, the cuddly cats were lovely. I ended up staying two nights longer than I had planned.
It was perfect for me since I wanted to go to Hilo, Pahoa and the national park during my stay, and it’s right in the middle. On the other hand that means that it’s always necessary to drive out at least 15 minutes or so, unless you want to cook for yourself. Which was working well with my plans anyway. It’s in a multi room structure with 4 or 5 guestrooms all on the same floor and no sound insulation, which worked nicely since everyone was keeping the quiet really well at night, but depending on your sensitivity to noise that might be something to consider.
