About this house rental
Welcome to your very own piece of New Hampshire Paradise. This rustic farmhouse is perched directly on the banks of the Pemigewasset River, offering the rare opportunity to enjoy the river without needing to hunt for parking or beat the crowds. Enjoy river views from almost every window, along with a large sunroom, a deck facing the river and a bonus private rooftop deck off of the master bedroom. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping!
The 3 bedroom 1.5 home is packed full of rustic charm. It's off of the lower end of Main Street, and within walking distance to all Main Street Attractions, including breweries, restaurants and shopping. The first level offers an eat in kitchen with large attached sun room with deck access, two separate living areas and 1.5 baths. Large sliding doors in the living room offer a view of the river. The upper level has one queen room, a second room with 2 twins with trundles, and a king master bedroom. The master bedroom has a coffee bar with a nespresso machine so you can walk right out onto the rooftop deck and enjoy your morning coffee while gazing at the river. There is plenty of grass space outside to play, and a staircase directly down to the water. There is an outdoor dining table and a firepit for you to enjoy. There is a family playground within a few hundred yards to enjoy as well!
Some items to note:
The house is on Main Street and next to a very seldomly used volunteer Fire Station, so there is potential for noise.
The home is a true old fashioned farm house, complete with all of the quirks they come with, such as small outdated bathrooms and narrow stairs. It is very clean, functional and comfortable, but it is not a brand new home and there are some items that will be replaced or improved eventually, but haven't been yet (flooring and paint here and there, trim, etc)
You'll have access to the entire home and yard
We offer contactless check in via keypad. We are available via airbnb message for any questions, and are local if needed!
The home is located on the southern end of Main Street in the vibrant town of North Woodstock. You'll be within walking distance to several restaurants and shops, and a 5 minute drive to Loon Mountain Resort and the Franconia Notch

My husband and I, his elderly parents, and my 70-yr old mom stayed here for a week in late August 2024. The house is absolutely gorgeous and well-appointed. Access down to the rocky riverside beach area is easy and the walking sticks in the entryway were great for the elder adults to maneuver the rocks. The river access added so much enjoyment to our days. We had fires a few nights at the fire ring, ate on the deck, walked up to the little downtown area for fantastic drinks and dinner at the Woodstock Inn Brewery and the Pemi House (I wish we had more time to try all the restaurants!), and used the three season porch listening to the river as we woke up in the morning or chatted at night. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home. The only drawback was just the one hand towel in each bathroom and kitchen. It would have been nice to have some extras while the others were washed. The listing is correct about the narrow, steep stairs so I would caution those with young kids or mobility issues because all the bedrooms are upstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs. Not sure if that’s in the listing but wanted to note it. The house had been freshly mopped when we arrived but it needed a good sweeping/vacuum which we were able to easily accomplish. These are very minor issues and I’d absolutely book there again! The check in and check out process were super easy and we loved our stay!

Wonderful place. My family taken a summer trip up to the white mountains for the last 5 summers. We have stayed in places on a lake, on a river, or close to downtown. This is the best of all worlds.
The river running right through the back yard is amazing. (be aware its down about 2 flights of stairs if anyone isnt very mobile in your group). We setup chairs in the river and floated around in tubes all week. The water will get higher/faster or lower/slower depending on the rain. We had so much fun in the river.
Also wonderful is how close to all of downtown North Woodstock the house is. Its a 1 minute drive or an 8 min walk to many bars/restaurants/shops/ice cream/coffee/etc. We walked back and forth all week. And Lincoln is just a few mins the other direction if you need groceries or anything.
Many attractions are so close too. Clarks Bears, Flume Gorge, Whales Tail waterpark, etc.
The house we wonderful and just as shown/described. Its an older house with its creaks and squeaks, but all charm, but its nicely updated. Newer appliances, very comfy beds, new AC units throughout the house. Nicely decorated.
The house has lots of room. The main bedroom is large and plenty of room. The deck of the main bedroom with the fire pit overlooking the river was wonderful at night to sit under the stars and have a drink. The downstairs sunroom overlooking the river was great to walk out to when waking up in the morning with coffee. We will be back next year.

This was a great place to stay for a quick getaway in NH. Woodstock/ Lincoln is a great area to relax and this house is located in a great spot to easily access everything. Traveling with young teens was great because they could quickly walk to the town shops and ice cream. Being directly on the river was realxing fun and relaxing too!

We chose to stay here for two nights because it is only a 10 minute drive from Mount Lafayette, which we planned to hike, and looked like it had great places to relax and recover at home after the hike. It met all our expectations. We picked up food at Wayne’s Market down the road. The hike was incredible. We ate dinner at the restaurant across the street after the hike, so nice you can just walk there. The house was very clean and the beds were nice and comfy. I would stay here again next time I’m in the area.

It took two weeks for the owner to get back to us when we asked to stay an extra night, she said yes. Days before our trip she said it was double booked but we could stay in one of her other properties free, we chose one but never heard back so we changed our plans. We were driving home when she finally got back to us. Poor communication.

I recently rented this house for my friend’s 50th birthday, it was so much fun! The house was cozy, clean, and very well stocked. It’s hard to find a vacation rental that allows pets, my heat melted when we found it had food bowls, beds, and dog toys. The view of the river was breathtaking. I wish it was a little warmer season so we could have enjoyed it more. 10/10 listing.

We had a terrific stay for our family of 5 at the Riverfront House for our MLK ski getaway. The location was awesome - quiet but close to great coffee in the mornings and nice dinners. We walked to a great place for dinner that was practically across the street!
The house is cozy and cute with everything we needed. Appreciated were the king bed in the primary and coffee bar and plenty of TVs for Xbox and wildcard weekend viewing.
The best part of all was the river. We enjoyed taking walks down and along the river in the snow to listen to its babbling and just take in some mountain air. Magical!

Had a great weekend enjoying the mountains at this property. The constant hum of the river that runs in the backyard was the perfect backdrop to a cozy fall weekend in NH. There’s not a ton of stuff within walking distance, but everything you could need is a 3 min drive away in Lincoln. Host was lovely, check in was easy, and home was well stocked. Would stay here again if we are back in the area.

check in and check out process were very simple. The owner always responded to my questions right away. The home is in a great location. Close enough to walk downtown. The river access and views are amazing! My kids had a great time gold panning on the river (we bought some gold panning kits on amazon). The house was rustic, but had charm. It was equipped with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. I do wish there were more laundry pods (only 2, enough for 1 load) so that I could have started the bedding once we left. The roof top deck and fire pit were lovely. The coffee bar with nespresso pods were also a nice touch. Over all we had a great stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
