About this house rental
The perfect cozy getaway for anyone looking to unwind in the mountains!
Only minutes from town and ASU. Gated community with walking trails and ponds.
During winter months (mid-Dec - mid-Mar) you will need a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle. We do not always have snow but it can happen! 4200’ Elevation. Our cabin offers a peaceful retreat with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials + more. You'll find plenty of glassware, plates, and kitchen supplies - a coffee maker, plenty of coffee, creamer, kettle, tea, a toaster, an electric hand mixer, and a smoothie blender, ensuring you have everything you need to feel at home. The full-sized fridge and freezer can accommodate any groceries you'd like to bring. You can enjoy your meals at the dining table or head out to the deck.
The deck is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy your morning cup of coffee. If you feel like cooking outdoors, there's a grill available for your use as well.
The living room is a comfortable space where you can unwind and watch your favorite shows or movies on the smart TV (Netflix). If it gets chilly outside, there is gas fireplace that will keep you warm and cozy.
For those who want to embrace the outdoors, we provide wood for the fire pit that is located outside by the end of the driveway in the grassy area. Gather around the fire, roast some marshmallows, and create lasting memories with your loved ones. We also have utensils for making s'mores. It's the perfect way to immerse yourself in the mountain ambiance.
Our favorite relaxation spot is the hammock located amidst the trees! It's an ideal place for a nature snooze, reading a book, or simply unwinding. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

The Queen bed was like sleeping on rocks. Highly suggest a mattress to go on top of the box springs. And there was no water pressure. It was a trickle so we didn’t take showers.
Very close to App State and that was our priority.

Very clean, short drive from Boone. Great little spot for a North Carolina mountains getaway for small families, couples. Communication with owners was very easy, quick to responding to questions and very nice. Overall a great spot to stay.

The cabin was very inviting and clean. The owner was flexible when our reservation was mixed up.

We stayed for 3 nights at Robin and Gary’s Cabin. It was perfect. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, was easy to find and the views! The view driving up to the cabin and just the scenery around the yard was amazing. We traveled with our 2 and 5 year old girls and they had a great time and really enjoyed being there. The cabin was just right for us. We can’t wait to come back again! We can definitely see ourselves frequenting here! Thanks for sharing your patch of mountain with us.

The property was better than I could have asked for! My son and I had the best time snuggled up in the cabin. We woke up to a beautiful snow on our first morning and enjoyed sitting out on the upstairs patio. It was a beautiful soul restorative trip.

Great cabin and owner was very up front about making sure I was prepared for the cold weather.

We really enjoyed our stay! I cut it short because of the threat of a snow storm. Robin was very responsive and concerned for us because of the weather.
The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. I hope to book it again!

The rent process was a breeze with Vrbo. The property owners were available to answer questions with no issues. Great experience.

We greatly enjoyed our visit to the cabin. We only stayed two nights but would have loved to stay longer. It was cozy, clean, had lots of big windows and natural light, and was well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. We only had to take our food. Everything else was provided. It was also very private. We wish we'd had time to enjoy the outdoor decks and fire pit! They looked very inviting. Next time, for sure!

We had a good time there, but some difficulty finding it. She needs to clean up the directions
from downtown King Street.
Also, it needed a little TLC with oven, perhaps add a toaster & blender. Beds were good though
& the cabin is very sweet.

The property was as posted. The location was great! The pond in the community was a delight!
The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it was not really a kid friendly rental.
I was traveling with my daughter and her 4-year-old twins and they, very naturally, wanted to investigate everything to see how things worked, which included dismantling the tv remotes,. Not a big problem for us because we weren’t watching tv anyhow. There were just a lot of little things around for them to get into and consequently for us to keep track of!
We might rent again in this community if it were a more kid-friendly house.

We needed a getaway from life and that's exactly what we got! The cabin fit our needs completely. It was just up the mountain from downtown Boone, which made it super convenient for us. We would definitely recommend and we plan to go back!

The property was perfect for a quiet getaway. It was close enough to town that you could get what you needed but without the noise and intrusion of people. I would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful Mtn views driving to and from the home. Home clean and had what we needed. We were quite busy so did not have an opportunity to cook or use the fire pit. But would have and could have. It was very close to Boone and the Doc and Rosa Lee Musicfest we attended, despite seeming like you were miles away on top of a mountain. Owner very responsive to our questions.

This was a nice cottage with everything we could have needed. It’s a quiet and peaceful location on “Top of Boone”. Robin and her husband were great to work with. We would book again in the future.

We had an awesome 2 days and loved every minute of it. The house is BEAUTIFUL. The ride to it is breath taking. Absolutely Gorgeous. Can't wait to come back. And we will be back. Thank you.

Great only thing is in the listing there was a picture of the view of the mountains which we did not have from the cabin because of all the trees but other than that was great

Loved this property. Me and my boyfriend had a blast. Easy drive to downtown and also to the ski slopes. Clean and gorgeous view with so much wildlife outside, will definitely be returning in the future!

Ms. Robin was such a amazing host. She gave me restaurants in the area to go eat at, she called me to make sure I was in and situated. Top notch service we will be going back! Perfect location right there close to downtown Boone.

My husband and I travel to Boone at least twice a year. This cabin, by far, has been the best location wise.

Great location. Enjoyed my time there

Cabin was stocked to meet all needs, basic mismatched kitchen items get you by. Plenty of linens, smart tvs, and wifi. Well organized for a small space in a convenient location. Beds however are extremely uncomfortable with questionable mattress toppers. Master bed loudly creaks with any slight movement and is horribly uncomfortable- With no A/C, so is the room temperature. Overall enjoyed stay but sleep was hard to come by.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is peaceful, quiet and just as described. This was our first time in the Boone area and we hope to return sometime.

This was a.very nice, comfortable cabin and we enjoyed spending a few days there.

Enjoyed our stay. Cabin was nice and clean. Peaceful and quiet. Would rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property. The scenic view in the add, was not the same , which was a little disappointing, however we had a great time. It was convenient to downtown and getting to other points of interest.
The basic necessities were provided! We will visit again…Maybe when the leaves start to fall there will be a better view 🙂
I highly recommend this cozy cottage.

We throurouly enjoyed our 2 night stay! We had everything we needed. The cabin was neat and clean. Never heard a peep out of the downstairs neighbor. Bed was a little uncomfortable but it wouldn't stop me from staying again. Overall a peaceful vacation at an awesome cabin!!!

My husband and I stayed at this property during 4yth of July week. The Cabin is at the top of the mountain, but less than 10 minutes away from downtown Boone. The owner allowed check in at 2pm, which was really nice. Most places won't let you check in before 4pm. The rent was reasonably priced and did not add on a bunch of cleaning, processing and owner fees. It also did not require a deposit, as most renters request a $300+ deposit. The home was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed from dishes, pots, pans, extra blankets, etc. The deputy that lives down stairs was very nice. He stopped by to introduce himself our first day there. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. My husband and I will definitely rent from this owner again. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely and cozy home.

We had a great day and can’t wait to come back! Cozy little cabin perfect for us 2 ❤️ Was a little startled by the vehicle in the drive bottom part is rented. No problem at all once we realized that and we had a beautiful stay! Thank you for opening up your mountain home to us!

We had a wonderful stay at this little cabin. We were in town for ASU orientation for a couple days and this was a perfect place to stay. I would definitely stay again.

This was such a pretty place to visit. Having never been to the area, we were able to see parts of Boone that we may not have gotten to explore because of the location of the home. Our only suggestion is to add something in the listing description about the windy roads and steep incline needed to travel to get to the cabin. Also, think it would be helpful to let renters know that the parking area will be shared with someone renting the lower level of the cabin. We weren't aware of this and were a little startled to see another car in the driveway and hear noises below us. The owner was quick to reply to our texts about this when we got there. Thank you for making our weekend an enjoyable one!
2.5
The house was super clean and had all the amenities me and my family needed. It was a rainy weekend otherwise we would have enjoyed the fire pit. Instead we were grateful there was the Disney channel! A 10 minute drive to downtown and it was quite steep as it was only minutes from Howard's Knob. Not a problem in our minivan but as the owner mentioned in winter you may need 4 wheel drive.
