We had a great time and the location is terrific for everything we wanted to see and do - Blowing Rock, horse show, Grandfather Mountain and Valle Crucis. The floor plan was great for the adults downstairs and the kids upstairs. The interior was in good shape and well equipped, but the exterior of the house and the grounds needed much attention - gutters filled with debris, shrubs need pruning, decking was dirty & much in need of paint or stain, along with the window trim - may not bother some folks at all though. Our property manager, Lisa Mahan, was great at communicating for whatever questions we had prior to arrival. Thanks Lisa!

Enjoyed our stay. Roomy enough for our party of six. Easily assessible but there are steps to climb. Hot tub was wonderful. Easy drive to surrounding towns

It says 2 bathrooms but it is 1 and a half
upper one you cannot stand in nor even sit on the toilet without having to bend over because there is no head space unless you are a kid
As well as the twin beds …. You literally have to crawl in them …. There is absolutely no way 8 people could stay comfortably here
The fooseball table is unusable … not only is it broke but you would have to be 3 yrs old to stand there
The floors are uneven and unstable
Upstairs you have a lot of weak spaces where you feel like you are about to fall thru
Downstairs on the main level it is uneven you have to be very careful because you will fall or trip
I understand this is a historic home but it has a lot of safety issues that need to be taken care of
The outside has also been very neglected and the pictures she has posted do not accurately describe the place.
We tried to work with her and agreed to the 11 days refund
Which totaled 2700
But my 93 yr old father paid over 5000 for this place and the fact we had to pay over 2300 for 2 days is upsetting …. My mom passed this year and my dad is from here born and raised and this will be his last trip to the mountains…he was in tears
She should NOT be allowed to rent this house as someone is bound to get hurt
My son fell down the stairs and sprained his ankle and tore up his elbow …. As unfortunate as that was I am glad it wasn’t my dad
It’s a small house, no way in but the stairs pictured and slick rocks on the left to climb

It was a nice cozy cabin experience. We loved the setup. However the trash bins were left with little to no space for our trash. One trash container was full to rim and the second trash container was half full, therefore we were left having to leave some trash near the kitchen door. Over all thank you for giving us the family /cabin wood vibes. My daughter loved it

This was a spare of the moment trip for a weekend getaway. The house was nice. I had a few questions to the owner, but never received any answers. Hot water was probably our biggest hurdle.

House was clean and well equipped for all ages, including a small highchair that came in handy for my granddaughter. The deck was great for the kids to run about on the the jacuzzi was good for the tired adults after chasing kids. Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Proximity to local attractions was great, and the creek in front of the house was fun to explore. Definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

Summer Getaway
Lovely cottage tucked in the woods off a major state road. Very clean, comfy and well provisioned . Lisa was attentive and easy to work with and will consider this property again if in the area.

Traffic was very loud.
Nice little cabin but kinda run down plus it was right off the main
county road. There was no peaceful mountain experience just the sounds of heavy traffic running up and down the mountain all day and night.

Better than Expected
Really enjoyed the cozy charm of this little cabin. Very clean. So much more space on the second floor than the pictures depict. Loved the location for our ski trip. The dog was extra impressed with it, too.
