I give this location a 3 and booking.com a 9 instead of a 10 because of the property issues.

The cottage was well located, clean, and the master bed was comfortable. The twins upstairs were not comfortable and slopped to one side. They need to be replaced.

The water was just tepid and not nearly hot enough for a good bath or shower. So those who wanted to bathe or shower second were out of luck with cold water. I alerted the manager the first day only to be told I needed to let it continue to get hot. It never did and even after reporting the issue the second day, nothing was done. It should have been heating well before we arrived as they were aware when we were to arrive. After contacting them the second day about the water, they disconnected the Wi-Fi and disabled the messaging website. This is unforgivable. There were probably 5 doors they kept locked so I was unable to access the water heater to turn it up. If there is one thing that makes me angry is to not be able to have hot water. That should be their Lesson 101 elementary responsibility for happy clients.

A very well laid out and comfortable place.

Plenty of space, well stocked kitchen.

Only thing that would have been nice is a slightly bigger yard for the kids.

Welcoming, Comfortable & Serene

The location and property were beautiful, clean & homie. We enjoyed the comfort of the screened in porch in the evenings, listening to the stream running through the gardens on the grounds as well as the Saco river across the street and again in the morning drinking coffee watching the golfers.

My experience working with Vacasa was painful to say the least, but in the end the customer service team ensured everything worked out. The front door was difficult to open as it would get stuck on the floor (needs to be shaved down). The wear marks on the floor, indicated it has been an ongoing issue (not swelling from dampness). At first, we thought there was a second locking mechanism or that we were going to break it. It certainly could be a safety hazard.
