Wonderfully located historic hotel
The pool was not available due to construction work

Charming hotel!
4.0
Great location, just a short drive from Jackson and a walking distance to Jackson Falls. The staff was pleasant and it was nice to have a restaurant on the premises. Great hiking trails nearby and a pleasant scenic drive to Mt Washington.
I booked a King room over a month before arrival, specifying that we are traveling with our dog. A person from the hotel acknowledged the request right away. Upon arrival, we were notified that only twin rooms were available either because we were traveling with a pet or because everything was booked. Anyhow, in my opinion this information should have been relayed beforehand as guests should be given the option to proceed with the booking or to cancel, not being notified on the spot, as a matter of fact.
The room was on a ground floor (also a disappointment and not specified anywhere) and fairly outdated - not in a cute way. The bathroom didn't have heating or, mayhaps, I didn't notice a thermostat. The first night we were woken up by loud bangs coming from pipes. The second night by neighbors, apparently there was some sort of party and people were roaming corridors until 2-3 am in the morning. The room was not soundproofed, so I could eavesdrop on conversations next door neighbours were having. Upon waking up in the morning, half of my head was covered in bug bites. Overall we went to Jackson to celebrate our birthdays, but there was little we enjoyed about this stay and really regretted booking this hotel.

We didn't have breakfast just room only.
We had to leave!

Eigentlich nichts. Es ist etwas hellhörig (Klimaanlagen der Nachbarzimmer).

The hotel is old and picturesque
There is one old elevator. The facility looks better in the pictures than in real life. It is about to be renovated.

Dinner was great. Our room looked across at other rooms. We loved the history.

Great location, very quiet road, next to the golf course and view on mountains and a lot of green. Restaurant was good. Kids loved the play room, nice they organised a movie night, the porch is a divine place to drink something and read.
The breakfast/diner room can use a bit of an upgrade in chairs, tables and atmosphere. Pool was closed for reconstruction and not communicated upfront so bit disappointing.

Room was comfortable
Pool was under repair so could not be used. The picture of the room showed a small refrigerator in the room but there was not one in the room.

Dinner at the porch was very good
The building is historic, but unfortunally also old, in urgent need of renovation. Very humid in the room. And the pool turned out to be renovated. This was very disappointing to us as it was not noted at the time we made the reservation.

In a central location to the areas we were visiting during our stay. The room was very clean. The beds were comfy. The shower had great pressure and hot water. Overall, our stay was pleasant.
I understand this is a historic property, but the small window unit air conditioner is not sufficient. There is a fan provided that helped to circulate air. There is one electrical outlet that runs electrical appliances for the entire room. I suspect this may have been the reason the fire alarm went off at 8 am on a Saturday morning. The pictures of this hotel show a pool. The pool is being renovated from what I was told, which was a disappointment for my 7 year old.

The location is very good - quiet, with wonderful views.
This is an OLD hotel. Why one can find it charming we found it mostly not in a great condition. Poorly closing windows, not so fresh carpets. Small beds, tiny bathroom.
Meals were just ok with the friendly but not always efficient stuff - as they said they were training for the summer season.

Location is beautiful, staff was excellent and friendly.
Only disappointment was that on the weekend the only breakfast available was a somewhat overpriced buffet rather than a breakfast where you could order from a menu.

I can’t rate a hotel fairly when they charged me twice and refused to give a refund.
Very unpleasant experience. I cannot even rate the hotel itself because of the situation that occurred after my stay. First of all, I paid for my entire stay in advance, so I did not expect to pay anything extra. However, after checking out I found out that I was charged for two more nights. At the front desk, I was trying to explain that I already paid for the ENTIRE stay, but was told that they did not receive any funds and have to charge my card again. More than two weeks have passed and I was only refunded one of the two payments. Any sort of communication with the hotel ends up with nothing new. Why am I still waiting for the second refund ?
I’ve been trying to contact hotel and booking, but still no refund. If any of the hotel representatives read this, I am asking to contact me via email because I am still waiting for my money to be refunded.

Just a wonderful and quiet New England Inn. Was a beautiful day of hiking and had dinner out on the veranda. They are going to renovate the inn in the next few years. Hope they keep the heritage inn charm. Love the history of the area and driving through a covered bridge into the town of Jackson. You've got to use the working 1920's elavator.
Really nothing -

Location, staff, food, view, game room. Beautiful, historic building.
The rooms are in dire need of an update. Ex...no central ac, which I'm ok with...but half of the windows were either jammed shut, or wouldn't stay open. Beds are very comfortable but rest of furniture looked old and not old in a good way.

Spacious room
Didn't provide good service. Requested a crib which they confirmed they would have but never gave us one which caused us great inconvenience

We have been at this place many times in the past and are always happy to return here. It's a beautiful place with comfort, atmospheric breakfast room and ski trails just steps away from the entrance. We love this place. (I should mention that yes, we have only visited it in winter, for winter sports).
Tip: check out the elevator!
It would be cool if at some point the hotel guests are given some discount on the Jackson XC skiing trails.

One of the great mountain locations. Cross-country skiing right out the door. An old, rambling hotel with a nice restaurant and a cute little bar.

Me and my couple loved our stay!
We love the architecture of the building, the amenities offered at the hotel, the view from our room, the staff, and the menu options for dining.
The hotel is in a central location, not too far from Conway, and it is close to most tourist sites in the area, like sky stations, hiking trails, and historic buildings.
We liked everyting at this hotel
