The house itself is nice, but I was disappointed to find no grill on the premises. Although the listing didn’t mention a grill, it’s something that should be highlighted as a “must-have” for a vacation home if it’s not available.
Another issue was the air conditioning. While two bedrooms had window AC units, one bedroom only had a fan, and the living room’s AC had a broken hose that kept falling out. As a result, the rooms without AC became quite hot. Fortunately, I found a window AC unit stored in the basement and installed it in the third bedroom myself, but unfortunately I had to do this at 1 a.m. because the kids couldn’t sleep due to the heat.
Hopefully those issues will be fixed for the next guest.

Loved the Cape house! Beautifully decorated/clean home in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect location for my family to travel throughout the Cape to different beaches.

My recent stay with Vacasa was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, the experience was marked by disappointments and frustration. Let me break it down:
Partial AC: While we understand the distinction between partial and central AC, the functionality of the AC units is still critical. We had cooling issues during our whole stay in August.2. Safety Features: The fire alarm kept beeping through the night. Instead of solving the problem, they removed the smoke detector, which raised safety concerns. We believe that all safety features should remain intact throughout a guest’s stay. 3. E-Lock Malfunction: we were locked out several times, starting on the second night of our stay. That night, my son, his wife, and their 4-month-old baby were unable to enter the house. My daughter-in-law had to breastfeed on the porch due to the lock malfunction. 5. due to to exreme disconfort we decided to leave a week before our rental time.6. Compensation: They would not take responsibility and provide us with adequate compensation. Our primary concern extends beyond financial matters; it involves misrepresentation and the impact on our well-being. The refund offered does not cover even one day of rental. VRBO refunded their fee immediately but VRBO should consider not to offer Vacasa properties anymore.

House was very new and clean and just as advertised. Location in Cotuit was great. All the close by beaches are resident only parking, so we ended up going to Craigville Beach and South Beach.

The place was comfortable and clean however there were several issues with the electricity and cooling. We would frequently loose power in the bedrooms. Called the management and after quite some wait time got in touch but they could not resolve it. We knew a main had tripped so, I asked if I could access the junction box, they said it was ok. Fortunately the basement access was open and I found that one fuse had tripped. Reset and it worked again, however this kept happening probably had to do it about 20 times. In summer when it gets hot outside it gets stuffy. Also 1 room where the kids slept did not have an AC and it was very unpleasant there during bed time. If not for these issues, it would be a very comfortable stay.

Beautiful remodeled property in a great central location with a large easy driveway and all the amenities you need. If you are somebody who likes a clean home then this is the place for you!

My elderly parents, husband and I enjoyed the quiet location of this clean cottage. The kitchen and bathrooms had essentials (nothing more) and the bedding was comfortable. The place is lacking some amenities like beach chairs, beach, blankets, fans, a clean frying pan, more lawn chairs for the deck. The main issue we had with the place was the EEOC did not work properly and after talking to the property management company twice it was not resolved. Luckily there was a hideaway key, but that key lock box didn’t work either. This was my first time dealing with Vacasa and not a home owner for a house rental and I’m not impressed.

Newly renovated cottage in perfect location short walking distance into village. Very clean. Our only criticisms were that the key pad did not work and the tv volume did not work which should be easy fixes. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous fall stay at The Cotuit House. It’s was perfect for my husband, daughter and me. The house is very clean, fresh and new. The location was perfect for us as it was near friends and family. We enjoyed dinner at the Kettle Ho and grabbing breakfasts and lunch at the nearby Cotuit Market. We’ll be back!

Quiet location and beautiful clean home. We enjoyed our vacation here. Unfortunately checking in and trying to communicate with the property manager was terrible. We were not given the correct code for the key, we spent over half an hour on the phone on hold, and our texts were ignored. Once we got into the home we were relieved and happy to be there

Our family of four stayed here comfortably for 3 nights - this house is in the cutest quiet neighborhood, and central to markets/restaurant/bike or walk to beach/drive to pretty much anywhere on the Cape! Immaculately clean and well decorated; it's a small but cozy place where they've used the space well, and everything looked brand new. Two issues we had were that the smart tv kept glitching out and losing audio (sometimes the sound worked and sometimes it didn't - not muted or anything) which was disappointing as we did have some rain and would have liked to enjoy a family movie together. We let the management know on our 2nd day and heard back on the 3rd morning that they'd try to address it but that was our last day so it didn't happen during our stay. Also, the house next door has several extremely bright exterior light fixtures that stayed on all night and shone directly into the bedroom windows, so that was somewhat annoying. Would highly recommend this rental if those two items don't bother you at all because they were minor if a little frustrating in the moment but not enough to leave any significant negative impressions. All in all a great house to rent if you're looking for something small but lovely in the Cotuit area.
