We had an excellent stay. The home and property is beautiful. I felt right at home. Having all the extras in the kitchen made it so convenient. The game room was a great way to spend the evenings. It was really nice to have so many seating areas outside. I really enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. Having three bathrooms on each floor was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again, when in the area.

It was amazing! This place had everything you could need and more, even down to the smallest details! They provided kayaks, numerous floats and a paddleboat to use on the lake. Inside there were more than enough towels, blankets, utensils and soaps to use. They even had doggy bowls! The garage game room puts this place over the top; my boys absolutely loved it! There were a few minor hiccups during our stay that were out of their control and the owners were very responsive and gave us a refund on one night's stay that was a total surprise! We will definitely be back!

Most wonderful home and very clean. We loved the three levels with three baths. Also everything we needed was provided!! Property manager was excellent!! Play room was great for the teens as well as the paddle boat and kayaks. I would highly recommend this home!!

The property is very relaxing, even in the winter. The view of the lake is spectacular, even on the rainy day we had for our stay. The owner has thought of all the details, and had ample things to use and do, from board games to pool. While the weather was cold and wet, and we did not use any of the outdoor amenities, I can imagine what fun is had by all on the lake. While the place is very clean and well-stocked, the only thing I could recommend is a very thorough deep clean of the place. There could also be some paint touch-ups on the doors and baseboards just to keep it fresh and cleaner looking. We essentially did not go anywhere for three days and were never bored for a minute. It is a great place for a family to spend time together and we will be back! Very nice and relaxing place to be.

The owners were great at communicating before, during and after our trip. Detailed check in and check out instructions. Home was immaculate. Beautiful and homey lake house decor. Plenty of room for us 3 couples. The house was spacious and very relaxing, Great views of the lake from the upstairs main living room & the downstairs living room. We were in town for a weekend full of wedding events so we didn’t have time to use the available paddle boat or kayaks. If we had had more time, we would have surely used them. The weather was a little rainy, but it didn’t keep my son or I from doing a little fishing off of the dock. The game room was a great addition. Even some of us “ older folks” enjoyed the video games. If we ever have the opportunity, we would stay here again.

The property was very clean and beautiful. Whether you are stuck inside or outside there is plenty to do right at the house. It's also pretty private which worked out for my dog. July & Jason get right back to you with any questions. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend this property to family & friends.

You’re home is Clean, Pretty and we’ll accommodated, you’ve thought of everything for an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed every moment of fishing off the dock, dining outdoors and watching beautiful sunsets…. Thank you for hosting us and we hope to be back again soon.

This was a last minute booked trip for us and it turned out to be one of our best vacations yet! This home and location was like a little slice of Heaven. It was very clean, yard was neat and just overall a very well kept property. The area was quite and relaxing. Neighbors around, but if felt very secluded and private. The kitchen was well stocked with any cooking supplies that you may need as well as the grills outside. The views of the lake were so relaxing and the little lights outside at night were an extra touch! We were able to bring our boat so the dock was perfect for us and made it easy to hop on whenever we wanted. Our kids loved jumping off the dock, swimming and paddle boarding most of the day. When they needed a break from the sun, the game room was where you could find them! Julie and Jason were very quick to respond to a question we had. We will most definitely be back! I told my husband I could live there!

Great overall stay right on High Rock Lake. Very Private. Would have been difficult to find without specific directions from the owner, who was proactive in reaching out with directions and instruction. Very Helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Great fishing hole for catfish, or just hanging out on the patio and deck.

This Property exceeded expectations. First, Kevin was very responsive. Our first rental had to back out in the 11th hour and Kevin responded within 3 minutes of me reaching out. The house was great, it slept the whole crew comfortably. My 6 year old daughter even caught a legit catfish right from the dock. After waking up in our own bed this morning my wife turned to me and said, "I miss that bed". This house was comfortable and cozy. It even had new, top of the line appliances. No complaints to speak of.

This was the perfect getaway! The owner was great to work with and the house was clean and comfortable for our group of 5. From the amazing autumn lake view during the day…to the glow of the fire pit at night…everything exceeded our expectations.

Great place to stay. It has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy the lake. We enjoyed the paddle boat and the fire ring. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is adequately stocked. We would love to visit again.

Although it rained during our long weekend, it didn't put a damper on our stay -- we had two nights of beautiful sunsets and great bonfires. The house is spacious and comfortable, with bedrooms on all three floors, including one on the main level. The walk-out terrace level has a large TV room with comfortable seating and warm blankets for cold nights. And the two couches on the main level with wall-to-wall windows overlooking the deck, fire pit, and lake allow everyone to enjoy the beautiful view. Having a full bathroom on every floor is an added bonus. The house is close to gas, restaurants, groceries, and downtown. Check out the Childress Vineyards Bistro and the Wine Sellars Bistro, which are close by. Kevin was very responsive and a great host, and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Well-kept, nicely decorated and comfortable home on the water. It was a welcoming and very relaxing setting and home. The host was informative and promptly replied to any questions that I had. It was our first time as VRBO renters and I will definitely do it again! We would come back to this home if ever in the area.

This was a perfect property for a weekend lake trip. Right on the water, fire pit, plenty of beds and bathrooms. Just a short drive into town for all necessary food/store options to stock up. Would highly recommend and plan to return.

We have family in the area. The Lake House was a local stay to be close to family but still enjoy our own space. The weather was overly warm for this time of year-- so the boys enjoyed a little fishing off the dock. Having a bed/bath on each floor provided our own space within the space and worked great for our grown boys and their wives. Also enjoyed the light/bright Lake House decor.

Our family of four had a great time at the lake. The home was very comfortable and clean, and there was plenty of room for all of us. And the property and lake can't be beat. We were able to get our two teenagers to put their phones down as we relaxed on the lake and fished for hours. The owner was super accommodating and responsive to my questions. Highly recommended!

Kevin is a great host. He is responsive and helpful and works to ensure his guest’s satisfaction This was our first stay. The house provided plenty of space for our group of 6. The house is clean, creatively decorated and well-appointed with all of the amenities we needed for a fun filled getaway, The fire pit is excellent for smores! Great location and easy drive to nearby towns for shopping and other activities. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I rented this house last year. We rented again because the house is clean, comfortable and semi private. We are able to launch our boat nearby and use the dock provided by owner. We love the lake and fish most of the time we are there. Already looking forward to renting again next year. Mike and Denise G.

Kevin is such a great person to rent from. He is communicative, helpful and works with your timeframe when he is able. We have been to this house twice now and the second time was even better. The dock is so fun to swim off, the fire pit is excellent for smores and the layout of the house is ideal for kids, grandparents, etc. Really enjoy this house.
