We all want the comforts and conveniences of home when we travel, and in this cottage, you’ve got them. But it’s also nice to stay in surroundings with a touch of whimsy – something completely different from what we’re used to. Here, you’ve got that, too! This home was decorated with just enough Southwestern details to make you smile, but also with an eye toward creating a restful environment you’ll love returning to after an adventurous day.
This dwelling is a guest house for the larger home just beside it, but it’s completely detached and private. Follow the pathway to the front door painted a welcoming turquoise, and notice an outdoor sitting area with a café table for two. Enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh Rocky Mountain air!
Step inside and find yourself in an airy, open concept space that’s loaded with character and knotty pine. There’s room for lounging, cooking, dining, and watching TV. A sitting area with a contemporary 3-seater sofa is a cozy spot for sharing a movie night together, with a wall-mounted TV and coffee table for your snacks.
A large eat-in kitchen includes a counter-height dining table for 4, and plenty of cabinets and counter space. Enjoy the use of a refrigerator/freezer, a range with cooktop and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. You’ll also appreciate the little details, like a coffee maker and a set of chef’s knives for the serious cook among you.
Hidden behind a set of wide doors, you’ll find a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Both bedrooms were decorated in simple, soothing colors with contemporary furnishings that hint at the rustic character of the Rockies.
The larger of the two bedrooms includes a queen bed, closet, dresser, and TV. The adjoining bathroom has an additional entrance for access by other guests.
The second bedroom is also appointed with a queen bed and TV, and includes a closet.
The bath provides a large shower stall with a glass enclosure, as well as a sink vanity with storage below for toiletries.
Hotel-grade linens are professionally laundered after every visit.
This home is managed by a local vacation and mid-term rental specialist, and there’s a sense of quality and care that’s worthy of your 5-star review.

The Neighborhood:
When you want to enjoy absolutely everything the Colorado Springs region has to offer, this is a great place to be.
This home is located in “Old Colorado City,” one of Colorado Springs’ most endearing neighborhoods. As a national historic district, it’s replete with distinctive 19th and early 20th century architecture, complemented by mature, leafy trees. It’s a great area for anyone who appreciates that “small town” feeling, because it’s walkable and loaded with great restaurants and artsy little shops.
But when you’re looking to pick up the pace just a little, you’re only a 7-minute drive from Downtown, where you’ll find even more options for dining and shopping, as well as museums, art galleries, lounges, performing arts venues, and much more.
Of course, we can’t ignore the great outdoors. Nestled against the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities offer a wide range of fresh-air activities and stunning natural vistas. Enjoy hiking, rafting, fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, skiing, ziplining, wildlife spotting, and much more.
Here are just a few of the area’s more popular outdoor destinations and their proximity from this charming home:
