About this house rental
Old Malt House is located in the heart of Willersey, just two miles from the centre of Broadway and conveniently located behind the village pub. The renovations were completed early 2023 and it is fitted out with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a luxury family home plus some fantastic extras such as a hot tub, sauna and boules / pétanque court. Due to the pattern of our rentals we can often allow earlier arrival and later departures, enabling more time to enjoy our beautiful house. Please enquire when booking and these are decided on an individual basis.
On the ground floor there is the kitchen with a large central island and seating on stools for 5 people. The kitchen spills out onto a patio with a bistro table seating 6. The kitchen has everything you would expect including two ovens, a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, large French Fridge freezer with filtered water and ice. There are Sonos speakers too and a Sonos Roam for use outside (at a sensible sound level of course).
Next to the kitchen there is a large sitting room with two large sofas, open fire and a 55" smart TV and Sonos surround sound system.
The dining room is panelled and has a dual aspect out onto the street. There is also an open fire. The dining table comfortably seats 10 and also has its own separate Sonos speaker.
Adjacent to the dining room is a study with an iMac for guest use and wireless printer as well as a casual chair for reading. The cocktail cabinet is within this room and will have various spirits for your use. There is a utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Also downstairs is the main guest bedroom (after the master). This is a king size bedroom with its own ensuite with walk in wet-room shower, sink and loo. There is also a wall mounted 42" TV and ample storage space. This room has direct access to outside.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a super king bed and its own en-suite with bath and walk in wet-room shower as well as a double sink. The bedroom itself has a 42" TV and beautiful views down the garden and down the road.
The third guest room has a beautifully upholstered king size bed and shares a bathroom with bedroom 5. The bathroom has a walk in shower, sink and loo. Bedroom 5, on the other side of the Jack and Jill bathroom has a sofa bed with a wall mounted 42" TV (ideal for kids or adults alike to escape the main sitting room if they wish to watch something different). The sofa bed comfortably sleeps one adult or two children. Finally the last bedroom has a brass king size bed and an en-suite with large shower, loo and sink.
The garden is where the fun is. There is a 5 person hot tub and a sauna as well surrounded by a gently trickling water feature. The sauna is a high speed warm up and is ready to use in just 20 minutes. There is a dartboard on the rear of the garage doors. On the lower patio there are two sun beds should you be fortunate with the weather.
As you head to the upper garden area there is a large outdoor seating area with a tilt roof which creates a completely waterproof seating area or partially shaded dining area. There are two sofas and a chair that comfortably seat 8 people. There is a large charcoal BBQ for those balmy sunny days and an electric heater overhead for when it cools down. There are two large flat lawns providing plenty of room for garden games and then at the bottom of the garden there is a traditional boules / pétanque court which is great fun for adults and kids alike. Throughout the garden there are beautiful borders full of cottage style flowers and feature plants.
The whole garden is very private and barely overlooked despite being in the middle of the village. The Bell next door is a handy addition providing traditional pub cooked food and there is a second pub in the village within easy walking distance called the New Inn. Broadway town centre is a 30 minute walk away by road or a much more pleasant 45-60 minute walk via The Fish Hotel or the disused railway line. There are endless walks nearby and various attractions such as Hidcote Manor, Snowshill, The Lavender Fields, Broadway Tower, Chipping Campden etc. Moreton in Marsh and Stow on The Wold are both 20 minutes drive.
What sets our house apart is that the majority of the time it is actually our home. Therefore when you stay here a lot of the basic requirements of a holiday rental will be provided by us; items such as toilet/kitchen roll, wash powder, cleaning items, log-ins to TV streaming services, basic cooking items such as oils, herbs, pasta etc. We also have a large drinks fridge which will be fully stocked and provided on an honesty basis at reasonable prices.

We had a fantastic stay at the house - it’s just as good as it looks on the pictures & the hosts were really helpful. Would happily stay again!

Luxury in abundance - that's how the whole weekend felt. Every little detail has been thought of. We are a family of 9 who were able to be together when we wanted to be (all sat around the dining room table) but the Old Malt House is so well designed that no body felt that they were living on top of one another. My grandfather of 103 found the downstairs bedroom and walk in shower perfect. I loved the Cocktail cabinet and the full length drinks fridge. I'm desperate to have one of my own. It's the first time I've ever used a Dyson hairdryer - and I'm sold! Each of the rooms has an ensuite - one is shared between two rooms but that makes it so much easier for big groups.
Sitting in the garden under the gazebo, I felt at peace and I know my family felt the same.
The kitchen is just perfect. Stuff dreams are made of.
I don't want to say too many more great things - as I don't want the house to become so busy that I can't stay again in the future. Plus I think it's nice to leave some details as a surprise...there's nothing that you won't like x

We had a wonderful weekend at the Old Malt House with a group of friends. The house is amazing, beautifully decorated and with lots of lovely touches. It had everything we could need, including a well stocked honesty bar with a very good selection.
We loved the hot tub and sauna, and the views from the immaculate garden. Daniel was very helpful and responsive, providing extra flexibility on arrival and check in.
The only disappointment was leaving! Would definitely love to return in future.

We cannot recommend this house highly enough. We stayed as a party of 7 for a special family birthday. The house itself has absolutely everything you could wish for - all mod cons and an eclectic range of decoration and furnishings. We had beautiful weather and so the wonderful outside spaces came into their own. The views up into the hills behind the house are spectacular and those fond of walking will find interesting nearby trails. Willersey village itself is picture perfect with two good pubs serving food. It’s only a 25-30 minute walk or short drive into Broadway with its wide range of shops and restaurants. Great time had by all and Daniel could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process.

The Old Malt House is a stunning house. There is absolutely nothing negative you could say, the decor is amazing, location perfect, gardens immaculate and attention to detail is shown everywhere and Daniel is a fabulous host.
A fabulous girls weekend and will definitely be returning!
Thank you Daniel 🤗

The stay was perfect from start to finish! The host was very helpful before arrival and whilst we were on our stay.
I went for a relaxing and fun weekend with a group of friends and that’s exactly what we got! The house is beautiful and in an amazing setting! It is so well equipped and spacious, the hot tub was a dream and everything was perfect! We will definitely be back!
Thank you, Daniel!

Upon arrival at the property, the cottage appears well-kept and tidy, resembling a traditional English Cotswold cottage. However, as you open the gate, the ambiance completely transforms to a large garden with vibrant flowers and a stunning, light-filled, modern glass kitchen extension. This modern addition is a stark contrast to the initial impression from the road but complements the property beautifully.
The house is equipped with everything you could need and exudes a remarkable style that immediately felt like home as soon as we stepped inside for a weekend getaway. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, appreciating the excellent facilities, ideal location, and the privilege of being able to stay in such a delightful place. And who could forget the disco ball in the kitchen!
The hosts were amazing, and the home itself was a true gem. We look forward to returning soon for another memorable stay.

We booked the Old Malt House for a girls weekend away and we were all blown away with it! Great location, stunning garden/ outdoor space and a beautifully decorated house down to every little detail!
Perfect socialising spaces, very comfortable rooms and all applicable amenities you could need for your stay.
The host was extremely helpful in the build up to our stay, providing all useful details in advance and answering any questions/providing recommendations very promptly. There was also a helpful and detailed welcome book upon arrival and contact details provided should we need any further assistance. The check in/out process was also so easy, safe to say we were all sad to say goodbye to this lovely house :-)
Would strongly recommend!

Came back yesterday after visiting this wonderful property with our friends for a late 30th birthday celebration / Easter weekend stay.
The house is absolutely beautiful and the pictures provided by VRBO do not do it justice at all. We were blown away by the interiors and loved all of the extra features including the disco ball. Lots of notes were also taken for inspiration for our own homes. Additionally, it’s really well equipped which was great considering we cooked at the house most of our stay. The jacuzzi in the garden was also an extra bonus, lovely and warm and used by all. The gardens are exceptionally well kept and the views were stunning from the kitchen.
The champagne and mini egg chocolate on arrival was also a really lovely touch.
The location was ideal for visiting surrounding villages with Broadway only being a 6 minute drive away and multiple golf courses. The private parking in the property also meant none of our party had to worry about finding parking spaces. In all we managed to fit 5 cars in the space allocated for cars.
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your property and we can’t wait to visit again.
For anyone considering staying at this property book it as I can promise you, you wont regret it.

We spent a weekend in The Old Malt house with a family of nine people celebrating my 50th birthday. The house is just stunning, set in a beautiful Cotswold village, with a picturesque duck pond, two local pubs and a petrol station. The house is set behind electric gates and once inside there is ample parking for several cars. The house itself is finished to a very high standard and wouldn’t be out of place on Grand designs, the hot tub and Sauna were a nice touch and the French Boule in the garden was a great opportunity to get outside. We visited nearby Broadway which is a stunning village with all amenities including a James Martin restaurant as well as a coop supermarket as needed. We would highly recommend staying here, everything was perfect and comfortable as you would ever hope for. Thanks Steve, Annette and Family.

We booked the Old Malt House to celebrate my wife’s birthday with our family (6 adults & 4 children). It is a fabulous property in a small village about 30 minutes walk from Broadway which has a good selection of restaurants, shops and pubs. The cottage has been beautifully modernised and comes with everything you need for a break in the Cotswolds including a kitchen stocked with dry ingredients and cleaning products. The hot tub and sauna are a great addition and were well used by all the family. It is a great base to explore other areas of the Cotswolds, hopefully we will return in the future.

We would absolutely recommend staying here and will be finding another occasion to stay again ourselves!

We had a fabulous time at Daniel’s property. Every detail had been thought of. As our stay progressed it seemed that things just got better and better. The property has been renovated beautifully. We couldn’t have had a better time. There were 9 of us staying and there was ample space. Lots of space for car parking which was great. The hospitality of the hosts is unrivalled and we really felt at home at this property. So many little extras that were really appreciated such as providing separate towels for the hot tub. We really had an indulgent stay and can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay.

We stayed at the Old Malt House for a girls weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it could not have been a better experience. The house is absolutely stunning, you can see how much thought the wonderful hosts have put into creating such a beautiful home. All the little touches were incredible - they’ve thought of everything!
We were blown away by the details, the beautiful decor (you should be interior designers!), quality of the linens, towels, bathroom products, the honesty bar is such a great touch - truly the works! The hot tub and sauna were a hit with all the girls and a wonderful way to relax after long walks.
The house is in a picturesque little village surrounded by gorgeous countryside. We walked to Broadway on the Saturday which is so cute especially with all the Christmas lights.
The hosts were amazing, the communication with Daniel was fantastic. He sent wonderful recommendations for restaurants, pubs, walks and things to do locally. We had no problems and so didn’t text him while we were there, but I am certain that he would have replied immediately.
We could not recommend the house to potential guests enough - if you’re looking for a place to stay choose this one.
A wonderful winter retreat, and we’ll be back to stay in the house in the summer too - thank you so much!

We booked this for a reunion which had been about 5 years overdue! We couldn't have picked anywhere better for our purpose......The house is such a welcoming social space and the garden is simply amazing! It was easy to have our own space or to be together - and the hot tub & sauna were a real bonus. I was very nervous booking this as it was so so important we had a great time - Daniel was fabulous, his recommendations exceptional and his communication with me throughout second to none. After wandering round Chipping Camden & Broadway ( 5mins away) we finished our trip with a big Sunday lunch in the stunning panelled dining room. I really can't recommend enough! We've already booked for next year - TB

We stayed at Old Malt House for a family get together and it more than met our requirements and definitely exceeded our expectations.
It’s like staying in a 5 star hotel with the comforts of a home. Located in a beautiful village just outside Broadway, with beautiful gardens and wonderful interiors throughout, it is clear that this house has only recently been renovated. All the bedrooms we used were well equipped with quality linen and beautiful bathrooms (with nice products included).
Everything was to the highest standard and it’s clear that no expense has been spared.
The house is superbly equipped with every mod con you could possibly need. From beautiful outside dining and seating areas with a family size BBQ to comforting open fires and a large TV in the gorgeous sitting room. We genuinely loved it all.
The hot tub proved popular with our gang and we even managed a game of boules in the court at the bottom of the garden which is certainly the most random thing I’ve ever experienced in a rental property. We didn’t use the sauna because the weather was warm but it would be a welcome asset in winter for us.
From the outset, the communication with the owner was exemplary, from advice on local attractions, restaurants etc to general questions about what to bring, Daniel replied promptly and extensively.
I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be back.
