The house is very spacious and allowed each family their own floor. There are lots of steps but we counted that as a workout which allowed for more food and drinks. The Blue Parrot next door was surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed the Blue Parrot food and drinks. The pool was small but perfect for our small swimmers. This house is in the center of everything which allows you to walk to most restaurants and shopping. The beach is not crowded so you don’t have to jockey for a spot early in the morning. We loved it and hope to return! Thanks for everything!

The layout worked well for us, but the kitchen and table seating would accommodate a smaller group better. Maybe 8. The pool is also very, very small. This is a very narrow house with multiple floors. There is an elevator but it is very slow. We only used it once. The kids didn't mind all the steps, but it might be too much for older people such as my husband and I.
If I were younger, I would consider going back. They have made good use of a small lot and we had a good time. It appears to be well cared for. Thanks for a great week.

Absolutely amazing place to relax. Great location for access to beach and local restaurants. This place has everything you need to relax and disconnect from the busy world and enjoy some much needed family time! The elevator worked great to help unload luggage and my disabled guests. For those disabled need to be able to do a step to get in home and out on decks. We brought a shower chair and non skid mat for wheel in shower in master on 2nd floor. The teens loved the bunk beds and all beds were super comfy. The pool is tiny but clean and refreshing. Worth every penny!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Birds Eye View. The description is right in the money. Convenient location. Walking distance to coffee, Blue Parrot, and Webster’s. Piggly Wiggly Express had everything we needed. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, great “extras” (beach towels, beach chairs, boogie board). Our only suggestion is get a bigger Keurig- for all adults it took a us over 15 minutes to get coffee, as it is a single serve- to be fair, there are also two drip coffee pots and another single serve Keurig on 4th floor. Amazing time- golf cart was an added bonus!! Thank you!!

The location of the property is amazing with a restaurant, next-door, donut shop nearby, and many other options for eating. Beach is amazing and close by to the house. The house was well appointed with things that you needed both for beach and home. The owner was very responsive to questions that we had.

Kaitlin was an exceptional host and very responsive to questions! The house is perfect and has all the amenities you need during your stay. It was great to be right on the beach, have a pool, and have many of the restaurants and shops nearby. The golf cart was an added bonus! I highly recommend.

Third time on SGI but first this close to the center. I was concerned that it would be crowded so close to Blue Parrot, the jet skis and public access but it was not at all. In fact, just the opposite as we loved being so close to everything . We were three families so the house was configured nicely for us. The owner was very responsive and took care of an issue that was out of their control.

This house had EVERYTHING our party of 15 needed for a week long family vacation. I bring toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap and paper towels to every house we rent. This house had all that and more. Thank you to the host for being so thoughtful and making this house a gem to stay at. The location is incredible and less that a 1/2mile from all the stores and restaurants.

The house waa perfect for our family vacation. We had 10 adults and 4 kids age 6 and under and we had plenty of room for all of us. Having an attached bathroom with each bedroom was wonderful. The house is right on the beach, making it so easy to set up but be in close proximity to the house. The location was absolutely perfect for us! The pool is on the small side but worked for our needs - the kids loved it! We had a small issue with the septic and Kaitlin had someone over right away to take care of it. We appreciated her communication and prompt response. Highly recommend this house for the great location!

20 women in bikini's are on the beach, out front. It's a party out front when you want it, and a quiet place to enjoy with a private pool, when you don't. You can shut the blinds and not hear a thing, if you don't want to. But we love people watching on the back decks, while we relax.
You get a new/fancy golfcart to go to any restaurant/shopping on the island, and can be there in 23 seconds (or walk)
There are 3 floors of living spaces that are separate and serviced by an elevator: 3 families can stay here and be separate from each other. There are multiple living rooms and bathrooms.
It's safe enough that your kids can walk to the parks/basketball/ice-cream, feet away.
No bugs. I'll never go to the plantation area again, after losing a pint of blood to yellow flies, mosquitos and no-see-ums. I can appreciate the privacy of the plantation, if that's what you want. But I can't appreciate having to hide inside from snakes/bugs. Why go to the beach if you can't go outside? You can sit on these back decks with no fear of bites.
I was a little worried about the small parking lot at the house, but didn't realize that public parking for the beach is across the street: there's unlimited parking for his house.
I stayed at many houses before finding this one, and always chase who the owner is, to stay here. I'd try to buy this place, if they would sell. It's my idea of a vacation

Pictures don't do justice to how big it is. It feels 3 times bigger than a normal 3,000 square foot house, before there are 3 separate floors. Your in-laws can be driving your sister crazy on floor #2 and you can be hiding on floor #3, in bliss.
I'll never stay in a house with a single living room, when I'm staying with family: I'd sooner stay at a hotel (hoping my wife reads this). At least two living rooms are required for any future stay!

With a group of 4 teens, 2 college studies plus their parents and grandparents, it’s nearly impossible to find a VRBO satisfying everyone but this one certainly did. The host was highly responsive and quickly had a maintenance person on-site when we had a minor issue. The home was comfortable with amazing views of the ocean and our own private pool and beach area. We loved being next to the Blue Parrot and across the street from Weber’s Donuts (go early before they open if you want to choose from their full selection). We also loved seeing the island using the golf cart. We really can’t say anything negative about our experience though and update to the kitchen pots and pans would be nice for families planning to cook more than we did. Thank you so much for a fantastic family spring break experience!

This house is right where you want to be! Near the food and shops on the island. It's all walkable, or you can use the golf cart. All small local businesses. No fast food or big box stores to ruin the small island laid back vibe. Conveniently located right next to the Blue Parrot Cafe, we popped over for a bite on the oceanside deck and yummy drinks. We were pleasantly surprised that PJ'S had pretty decent pizza too.
Just step out past the private pool and straight onto the beach. The beaches are very nice on SGI. We went for several walks up in both directions on the beach. Peaceful. Nicest beach in the area.
The house was roomy and private with no lack of bathrooms. Each floor is like it's own private suite. The top floor has it's own suite, kitchenette and private deck. A surprise bonus was being able to see the lighthouse at sunrise.
So many amenities that we ran out of time to try them all. Next time we'll be sure to use the margaritas machine!

We loved our stay at Birds Eye View. The home was extremely clean and very well-equipped with everything we needed during our stay.
The host was super nice. She gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area and was super responsive.
We loved having the free golf cart to use during our stay.
The home fit our large group very well. There are 4 separate floors and each of the bedrooms has a private ensuite bathroom. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The arcade and game table were a big hit with the kids.
The location of the house was super convenient, and close to everything as well.
Birds Eye View has been our favorite house to stay at on the island. We plan to come back soon!

It was a somewhat last-minute decision to go to the beach this past weekend. We wanted to do something special for my mom for Christmas and SGI is one of her favorite places to go.
Kaitlin, the host, was super nice and helpful. Thank you for accommodating a last-minute booking!
We chose this house because my mom is handicapped. There was an elevator and also a beach wheelchair available for us to use! We have never used a beach wheelchair before because we haven't been able to find one for rent in the area. It was a nice bonus! My mom really loved being able to go out on the beach easily.
The house was very clean, and it was stocked with everything we needed during our stay.
We loved seeing Gareth the Gargoyle dressed up in his Santa hat for the holidays. The Christmas decorations really made it special.

First I will start off with the positives, elevator, and 6 seater golf cart, magnificent views. Beds were very comfortable, most furniture was not worn out and relatively newer.
Now the down sides… floors were filthy in the house when I arrived, I have pictures to back this up. I called the hostess and she too was upset about it. I then when downstairs to the breezeway between the back of the house going to pool area. There was about 200 feet of hoses sprawled out with water going to them so it was difficult to try and move them off the concrete area out of the way.( trip hazard ) again pictures to confirm. There is a recessed light fixture in the kitchen that is hanging out of the ceiling and the bulb kept flickering. The ice maker in the refrigerator was froze up solid and I was instructed by the hostess to just unclog it, which I did and the maker than started working. The gas stove in the kitchen had knobs that if you bumped into them they would turn to open, 3 times we had to turn them off after smelling gas. We learned to check often as with more than two people behind the bar it is easy to bump them. The toilet in the bunk bed room was not working, I was instructed by the hostess to use a bucket to flush the toilet. My son in law wound up getting it fixed to be usable. It still needs attention, the shower in the bunk room did not work due to the fact that the plunger had corroded off. The back metal safety fence leading to the beach is corrode at the bottom which resulted in my daughter getting her ankle cut to her foot when it was swung shut by the wind.
I’m sure a lot of this sounds petty to some of you reading it but I have never rented through VRBO or other sites like it before so I had high expectations on a quality rental. The amount would have been insignificant had it not been for the attitude of the hostess about the problems. She did tell me on day one to find another place and she would refund my money, however my kids and grandkids where traveling to get there and we had a significant amount ofgroceries. I did try to find other accommodations but being it was Thanksgiving week there wasn’t anything available that could accommodate our needs. I owned and ran a 5 star Aerodrome Venue for 15 years and I guarantee I kept a 24/7 handyman on my payroll for any problems that can arise, especially for rental facilities.

First time in St George and we enjoyed the week, the house is centrally located with most things in walking distance or easy golf cart drive. We had 8 adults and 6 kids so plenty of beds and bathrooms which made it easy to spread out. The beach and small pool are very convenient, with toys, a kayak and beach chairs all provided. The pool was dirty when we first arrived, but was cleaned the next morning after we made the call, great response time.
It is a very narrow house and has four flights of stairs, which was a challenge for the younger kids and our older folks (me), but it is workable and has an elevator that makes moving luggage much easier. The driveway is narrow so we parked most cars across the street so we could get the golf cart in and out easier. This wasn't a problem as everything is so close, but having a golf cart is a big plus!
For food, the Blue Parrot and Paddy's were easily the best, and I can't recommend the others nearby due to service and poor food. And the Blue Parrot being next door was not a problem with noise, in fact - it was great to have for a drink or quick bite to eat.
Overall, we enjoyed the quiet and calm of SGI, the house worked fine for us (even with stairs), restaurants were a challenge, enjoyed the park on the east end of the island, and Apalachicola is only 15 minutes away with great food and shopping.

Loved the location of the house, right next to everything from restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores. The house is very well equipped, pool, private beach access, enough bathrooms for a large group. Three levels of beautiful ocean views. The included golf cart, kayak added to the fun. The owner was very responsive and got a few of the minor issues fixed immediately. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will definitely come back again!

I was a little worried about being located next to the Blue Parrot, but it ended up being the best decision we've made! We've stayed at a lot of SGI Properties: this is the only one we'll want to stay at in the future.
The Blue Parrot is literally next door. You can crawl home if you need to. Donuts and Starbucks across the street. The best/busiest beach is right in front of you. Shopping and BJ's pizza a block away. You don't need a golf cart, here!
The house is bigger than it looks and has multiple living places for multiple families: tons of separate bathrooms for the ladies. It's freshly renovated and comfortable. The elevator servicing all floors is a huge bonus. And the pool!
The plantation is buggy and annoying to get into, with the gate. We'll never go back there, compared to Birds Eye View. East end is definitely more private if you want peace/privacy, but the kids loved being within walking distance of everything and the parents loved being at the Tiki Hut at Blue Parrot....and not have to drive home!
Lock your keys away and everything you need is within a few feet of this place. We will surely want to come to this house every year! Thank you, Kaitlin
