A truly unique Idaho experience awaits at Historic Hope Hideaway, where modern comfort meets the warmth and charm of yesteryear. Once the historic Hope City Hall, this property has been beautifully remodeled into a cozy refuge and the perfect hub for exploring the wonders of Northern Idaho.
This home is nestled in the heart of small-town Hope, a community the eastern shore of Lake Pend Oreille known for its gorgeous sunsets. In the summer months, you'll be incredibly close to lake access points at Pringle Park (quarter-mile) and Sam Owen Campground (three miles). Come winter, head up to the world-class slopes of Schweitzer Mountain (28 miles).
More than just a place to stay, this home takes you on a journey through time with its stone construction and lovely details of natural wood. Yet all sorts of contemporary comforts were seamlessly incorporated in the redesign, from the open layout to the elegant kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
After a day of outdoor adventures, return home to read by the gas fireplace, play board games around the coffee table, or pull up a stool to the kitchen island for a homemade dinner and cocktails. Leave the day's clothes to spin in the washer/dryer, use the complimentary WiFi to plan the next day's activities, and stream movies in the bedroom as you sink into a restful night's sleep.

Ratings and reviews
5.0 / 5.0
Home was clean and well equipped and enjoyed my multiple stays.
A couple items when I was there, maybe they've been fixed...
Propane burners need maintenance and front door leaked water.
3.0 / 5.0
Cozy little place that is cute. Convenient location, felt very private and safe. Only downfalls were the wifi did not work at all while we were there and the bed is incredibly uncomfortable.
5.0 / 5.0
Wonderful little place, every amenity you would wish for. Clean and comfortable.
Beware of entering code to enter, keypad seems to be tempermental.

4.0 / 5.0
Our stay was generally very good. We did have a few issues though. First, the code for the door was not correct. It took nearly an hour to get the right code. Second, getting the place warmed up to a comfortable temperature was not very straightforward. I would recommend some sort of notebook describing the operation of the various heating elements. Plus the fireplace did not work and required a visit from your property.
