We came down for a quick trip to attend the Christmas market. We brought our dog with us and they were so accommodating for him. They brought him a bed, dog dish and poops bags to our room, as well as gave him a toy and treats when we checked in. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cozy, with a great sized balcony. Will stay here again!

Charlotte at check in was so nice and very accommodating also the guy at Check out. Very nice hotel and the rooms smells good. The grilled salmon in Sudden Sally, the best!! We will comeback for sure

New hotel, great view, clean, nice shower. We got 3-day bus passes, but didn't use them because we enjoyed walking along Banff Ave.

Newer hotel at the edge of the Banff strip. Walkable to town but they offer a bus pass for convenient pick up and drop off in front of hotel. Loved the package free coffee, real cream and tea in-room option as well as offering a compost bin and Rocky Mountain Soap Co products all plastic-free. Beds were comfy, loved the size of room and quiet location. Will come back for the eco options and rooms.

The hotel & service was absolutely incredible. Our room was beautiful and extremely clean. Our little dog came with us and they had the cutest little set up in our room awaiting her arrival along with little treats for her. All the staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, and well accommodating. The outdoor hot tub is absolutely beautiful. Incredible location, extremely quiet and beautiful views of the mountains.

The hotel was beautifully designed and our stay was incredible. I was traveling with a friend for my birthday, and when we arrived, there was a cupcake in the room and a card with a credit to the restaurant on site.
The hot pools and sauna had just opened, and they were fantastic! Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I plan to stay there any time i return to Banff.

Decided to treat myself for my first time in Banff, albeit alone! Excellent value for money—balcony and all the trimmings like locally made toiletries made it feel all the more luxurious. Worth it. Super convenient to be the first bus stop as well.

If this hotel stays in your price range, look no further. I live fairly close to Banff and have stayed at many hotels in Banff. This is by far the best. I stayed here before, and came back again within 6 months. Great staff, new property, huge room, huge balcony, everything was super clean. Tried their brand-new hot pools which just opened a week ago, amazing!! I know the hotel is a bit far from town but they give you the bus tickets and the bus stops are right in front of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was also great, we enjoyed their 2-5pm happy hour with 1/2 price drinks, and ended up having breakfast and lunch there as well. I know I’m going back there again very soon. Hands down.

Absolutely loved this place! Very new feel as soon as you pull in. The Banff area is just an amazing experience and the views are out of this world. We def enjoyed the fresh coffee, teas, and cream as they were an extra bonus at check in. So delicious! Within walking distance to everything or you can ride the bus. Would highly recommend!! Beautiful room!

By far one of the best if not the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff were helpful and kind, room was extremely clean with gorgeous kitchenette, coffee offered in room (with real cream) delicious, convenient location, rooms clean, lighting perfect.

Throughly enjoyed the property and rooms as well as the staff. City bus stop was informative of the property which the bus got you around to the different sights. The hotel provided a coupon to use for the bus transportation.
The only complaint is the refrigerate in the room was very tiny and nearly held a bottle of soda.
It was wonderful having a restaurant and a coffee counter in the hotel lobby.
We had a room on the second floor over looking the street it was worth the view.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at well designed Canoe hotel . I really recommend this Hotel.
4.0
Canoe is a beautiful addition to the Banff scene. While the hotel was not complete at the time of my stay (no pools nor fitness centre), the room was great with a huge patio and a spectacular view of the mountains. The coffee service was very cute, though not super practical - pour over coffee doesn’t let you put the coffee on and go so something else to get ready. Loved the real cream!
The bathroom was big with a roomy shower and lots of soft towels. The bed was comfortable and the room was surprisingly big for a new hotel build. Would stay again and enjoy the elements that weren’t yet finished.
For my purposes, the location was great and is a good spot for people who don’t mind walking to the downtown and other sights.

Hotel was clean, efficient and quiet. Price was high compared to the Mount Royal where we stayed earlier in the week. A fair hike to the town center.

This was a really cool, well designed with beautiful views from the balconys. Super convenient and quiet.

Everything was excellent! We had a wonderful time! The rooms and beds were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping and on-site Restaraunt (Sudden Sally) were very friendly and helpful! All the staff were always smiling, which was very nice and welcoming. Menu was nice and the food was very fresh and prepared perfectly. We used the transportation passes every day and it was quick and easy! There was also a very nice anniversary surprise for us as well. Stunning views from our room! Quiet location, but not “disconnected”.

This hotel is amazing!! The property is beautiful and modern and the service is great. I had a room with a mountain view, I absolutley loved my suite with the balcony, fireplace, kitchenette. The hotel is not as close to town as others but I did not find that to be an issue for me. I also loved the on site restaurant and coffee shop, excellent food!

The staff was excellent. Went out of their way to provide us breakfast for an early morning hike. Freshly ground coffee every day.

Our flight arrived early morning and we were exhausted. The hotel gave us our room hours earlier than usual at no extra cost and we were so grateful! Rooms are clean, huge and comfortable with beautiful mountain views. This hotel is truly 5 star and the staff are attentive, helpful and very accommodating. The restaurant in the hotel has fantastic food too!! Highly recommend .

Perfect distance only 15 minute walk to downtown. Great coffee shop and restaurant!

Great hotel. Incredible view if you book a Mountain View room. Staff is excellent. Restaurant is very good. Has a happy hour in the afternoon. Public transportation is right in front of the hotel. I did miss not having an exercise room. Overall, wonderful experience.

We didn't sleep good because AC too noisy.

We loved our stay.

The room was good however the internal phones were not working and I had to call the hotel reservations line who would then transfer me to the front desk. They said something was wrong with their phone system and didn’t offer to fix the issue. Housekeeping didn’t do a good job cleaning and one day they didn’t clean the table and another day some trash was lying on the floor after they had cleaned the room. Front desk was very polite and professional and rooms are good

I found the mattress was a little too firm, I like a firm mattress but it was like sleeping on a door.
I loved everything else about the property however 10/10

It’s a beautiful property and we enjoyed could be a little more choice on the dinner menu that’s the only thing I could even comment every body was wonderful we hope to come back

On the Main Street a bit further away from the hustle bustle. Roam transit right outside the hotel.
10.0
The overall decor and look of the hotel is appealing. It’s located when entering Banff is great as it is outside the very busy town center. And so easy to park your rental car. The entire staff is young and energetic and made the overall experience upbeat. Would recommend this hotel.
10.0
The property is on the edge of town so it was nice to be a little tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Banff. Not too far though as we were still able to walk into town for dinner every night. There is a bus that the hotel gives a pass for but we opted to walk to enjoy the weather. It’s beautifully designed and all the staff is friendly and helpful! We loved the coffee offered at check in and also took advantage of the restaurant for breakfast before our hikes. Would definitely come back again to visit!

This was our second stay at Hotel Canoe and we would recommend it to anyone travelling to Banff.
The rooms themselves are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast options in the cafe in the lobby are reasonably priced and the bar is a great place to go for a drink before heading into the town.
The free bus pass and free parking is super convenient. Also, the hotel is the first stop on the route into town which means you’re pretty much guaranteed a seat compared to some of the other hotels further down Banff Ave.
The only downside of this stay is that our rooms were right next to the pools which are currently under construction and the noise of power tools started quite early in the morning.

Staff is super friendly, the property is really clean and the area is great. If I am to come to banff again, I will stay again. One of the best hotel experiences I had in a while.
10.0
Great Location just far enough on the edge of town to not be sooo busy but still convenient, and the 3 day free transit pass was awesome
10.0
The hotel was very clean. The fresh pour over coffee was a great way to start our day. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was quiet and had a great deck to view the mountains. Parking was close to our entrance. The free bus passes for Roam were very handy to get downtown. Overall a wonderful hotel!
10.0
Wonderful stay! The view of the mountains from our room was amazing! If you are a coffee drinker that appreciates freshly ground, locally roasted coffee then you will love their coffee they provide. Bed was comfortable with pillow both soft and firm. Rooms were clean and beautiful. It’s north of the center of town making it quiet, but you can still walk to the main area with shops and restaurants within minutes. The hotel provided free bus passes to use Banff’s Roam transportation with a stop right outside the hotel. The of the hotel is a little confusing at first but after day one you’ll get use to it.

Brand new hotel and the end of town, 20 minutes walking distance to the center of Banff, along a secure street with pedestrian pathway.
Final touches still missing as its very new. Standard rooms with nice Terrace as we where in the main building (other rooms have no such view). Wonderful staff, and great casual atmosphere.
Only criticism: The light in the room. Either very dark with just bed reading lamps or with room light it reminds you of a hospital. NOT cosy at all!
Over all a good place to stay! We definitely recommend!

good left me a birthday card and a cupcake

The property was very nice, with a balcony view that looked great. My room was aesthetically pleasing and felt cozy. However, one thing I didn't like was the number of bugs in the room that were attracted to light. We weren't sure where they came from, but they were on the ceiling and in the restroom.
There was plenty of free parking available, which was easy to find and something I loved. Overall, the property was nice, but because of the bugs, I had to deduct a star.
