Location was great for my work which was in downtown Ottawa. The room/studio with the full kitchen was excellent. The only thing perhaps was that the washroom was small and one needed to run the shower for a minute or two for the water temperature to stabilize. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very confortable stay in lovely apartment with kitchenette. 2 main issues were firstly a laborious check in/registration process with Sonder (first time user - account set up); secondly parking was a real issue. Either an extortionate fees or juggle street parking and parking meters...

I would give this stay 6-7/10. First, Sonder has an online system for checking in. However, they will not allow early check in even if the room is ready early on the day of your stay, unless you pay extra. Second, our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We tried to ask a staff member to see if they could re-clean, but the cleaning staff do not speak English (in Ottawa). We were also told the hotel was fully booked for that night, and that smoke is quite common as it is an old building. I woke up with a severely irritated throat from the smoke. I will however give credit to one of the very friendly staff who arranged for another room for our second and third nights, which was excellent and smelled very clean. Aside from smoke, the property is very well maintained and rooms/apartments are very spacious, and feel quite homey.

Pros: close to Parliament Hill and good food options. Gym is spacious though not well equipped. Free laundry in basement and kitchens have all you need for simple meals. Con: the cleanliness could be improved and the place is a little scruffy/damaged, the aircon has difficulty regulating the temperature consistently (on and off all night), and, some rooms stare directly into another building so you need to keep the blinds down all the time.

The pre verification and automoatic check in was ridiculous and led to us standing on the street at 1 am unable to get into the hotel for an hour. I will never use Sonder again.

Very nice quality room for the price, was very impressed, the studio apartment are a bit small but i prefer that considering we were just me and my girlfriend and we had a full kitchen at our disposal Bathroom was exemplary in terms of cleanliness, nice comfortable clean bed. Smart TV and had an HDMI cable already in the room in case you bring your laptop and wanna plug it My only complaint is that if you decide to step out at midnight or later and forget your pass code and your phone is dead and you dont have a charger at hand, you now no longer have a way to get back into your room cause they dont give you a physical key I had to use my girlfriends phone and download the app Other than that, great place

I couldn’t cancel the hotel because they didn’t wanted to understand that I couldn’t travel. I was going for the embassy and it closed few days before my trip. I explained them but they were so unpolite and say NO

The Superior studio provides a "superior" experience at the Sonder Arlo. Next time I stay in this suite, I'll do a youtube video review!

Not great experience. Their air conditioning wouldn’t stay on. We would turn it on and it would stay on for few minutes and turn right back off again. I had a test in Ottawa so I travelled a day before to have a good night sleep before that test never happened. They offered us 2 hours late checkout, which was a little helpful but other than that nothing was positive about our stay.

Central location, fairly easy to check in (although the entry code gave me some trouble). One issue was that I couldn't get the fan to stay on with the AC and I need that for sleep. So I found it difficult to get and stay asleep with the fan going off and on all night.

Great stay experience. Room was very clean and newly built. Very peaceful and quiet. I love every detail of the place. If you own a car. You need to check for parking on street or there is Indigo parking on left street. My overall experience was really good. Can’t wait to visit again as everything was way closer to this place. We went to all attractions by walking around.

The bed comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The kitchenette was an added benefit that you don't find in most accommodations. Its within walking distance of most of the attractions and we would definitely stay again Parking was our only hurdle, it was very expensive. We found underground parking on our last day for 1/2 the price bu the circle k a couple blocks away.

Had a great experience at Sonder Arlo. Great location, walking distance to Byward Market and Parliament Hill. The room was clean and functional with a perfect small kitchen. Room was well stocked with all the essentials with more always accessible. Will definitely be back!
