The Space:
Searching for a relaxing group getaway in a stylish setting? Look no further. This beautiful stone house is set within acres of Somerset’s rolling hills and beautiful countryside. Nature’s calming tones are perfectly mirrored on the inside as well as the out - from warm woods and rattans to earthy tones. Exposed stone walls and rustic beams add charm and character, whilst modern Smeg appliances add a touch of luxury.
Every corner of the house is set up for your pleasure - the circular dining table for sociable evenings over dinner, a welcoming living room set around the log burner and cosy nooks for quiet afternoons reading. In warmer months, open the double doors and enjoy a spot of indoor-outdoor living - there is a state of the art BBQ for use and the outside dining table is perfectly set up for alfresco meals under the stars.
Upstairs, find four bedrooms each styled as beautifully as the next. There’s heaps of space to spread out and relax. The super-king master and second king-size bedroom both boast en-suite bathrooms. There is an additional double room as well as a twin room (which can be made up as a super-king if preferred). The family bathroom has a large roll-top bath, perfect for long soaks after big walks. There are also two separate WCs on the ground floor.
For those on working holidays, there is a wonderfully large desk in the living room from which you can enjoy views of the orchard and the fields beyond.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole property and garden.
The Neighborhood:
East End is located in the tranquil village of South Cadbury, nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside. The Camelot Arms is a cosy local pub situated just a 5-minute walk from the property. Or you can try the Queens Arms pub (a favourite of ours) which is just a 5-minute drive offering excellent food and a lovely pub garden. You can pick up fresh, locally-grown produce at the nearby farm shop - Teals - where you’ll also find an excellent cafe, deli butchery and wine shop.
The house is ideally located to enjoy all that Somerset has to offer. The charming villages of Bruton and Castle Cary are just a 12-minute drive, boasting boutique shops and artisan cafes. The iconic country estate, The Newt, is also just a 10-minute drive. Their working estate has acres of splendid gardens, woodland, farmland and cider orchards to explore (and taste!).
Discover the renowned Hauser & Wirth gallery just in Bruton, dine at the Michelin star Osip restaurant or enjoy a spot of shopping at Shepton Mallet’s outlet centre. A little further afield, you can explore the picturesque village of Sherborne or Frome which are just 20 minutes away. Shop for goodies at the famous Frome Market (open every first Sunday of the month) which showcases independent designers, food makers and food producers. The legendary Glastonbury is around a 30-minute drive. Walkers will be in heaven too, with so many wonderful trails right on the doorstep.

Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of the property, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is ample parking space for multiple vehicles on the driveway.
That said, the area is also wonderful for cycling and secure storage is available in one of the outhouses for bikes.
Other Things to Note:
Dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms and not left in the property unattended. My family and I had a lovely stay in Somerset. The property is completely as depicted in the pictures - beautifully decorated, light, airy, vast and surrounded by beautiful fields. The beds were comfortable, everything felt clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped and complete with some complementary breakfast bits. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
