About this cabin rental
Welcome to Slide Mountain Chalet!
Slide Mountain is the highest peak in the Catskills and this chalet is at an elevation of 2,100 ft! Enjoy 2 acres of beautiful moss-covered Hemlock forest on the property, which is located on one of the most scenic drives through the Catskills. Stargaze on the front porch, listen for one of the several species of owls, hang out by the firepit in the back yard nestled amongst large boulders, or fish the Neversink River for some of the best Trout in the Country!
This is a quintessential Catskills Mountain getaway with an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, and a wood burning stove. Relax in our newly updated bathroom and soaker tub after a long day of hiking on trails or skiing nearby. Upstairs is a lofted room where you can watch a movie on the projector, play a record, find a book, or pick up a guitar to create new memories here at the Slide Mountain Chalet. There’s a front, back and side screened in porch with a hammock for your pleasure.
Depending on what you are interested in we are here to point you in the right direction whether its finding the best swimming hole, antique shop/flea market, locating a local brewery, or signing up for an informative mushroom walk; we are here to help! Well trained dogs are welcome!

I cannot say enough about our stay at the Slide Mountain Chalet. It is very cozy and in great location! The house had everything we needed for our stay. The soaking tub was a huge hit with our family and the upstairs loft provided great entertainment for our boys. We rented it because it was close to skiing, but I would love to come back in the warmer months for some hiking and R&R.
LeAnna And Amy are amazing hosts and are definitely focused on catering to their guests in more ways than one.
I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope we get to come back very soon.

The property photos don’t do it justice. Great size, comfortable, nicely renovated, well maintained. I would give it 6 starts if I could, and I hope I’ll get to stay there again… maybe during warmer months so we can take advantage of the amazing hiking trails in the area.
