The carpet seemed old. The room needed updated. They seem to be making some improvements on the property, but they have a lot to work on. The neighbors were loud late into the night. We could hear every voice and every toilet flush from the neighboring room.

I had an excellent one-night visit to Tremont Lodge and Resort. Booked it on a whim for a solo trip to the Smoky Mountains and was delighted with the comfort of the room, the availability of an indoor pool/hot tub and breakfast area, and very friendly service from Trevor at the front desk. Highly recommend for a getaway, whether you're in Townsend for one night or a week!

Our stay at the Tremont was very nice we arrived late that night so it was wonderful that our room key had been left for us in the overnight box love that idea also our room was very comfortable the bed could be a little bit more comfortable but it was fine I enjoyed the balcony the next morning and the view of the courtyard which they were working on but the experience the cleanliness of the room and the service was great for our one night stay I would stay again

During our stay the hot tub wasn't functioning properly and swimming pool while technically an "indoor pool" the door to the outside was in a constant state of open. Possibly a soon to be remolded section. None of this really bothered us much but I will say the layout is a bit confusing. Like different hotels that were bought up and now have the same owner. Breakfast is in the same place as the office. But it was a drive for us to get there. Could have been walked but if there was bad weather you wouldn't want to due to the nature walk outside to a different building. Our building was where the pool and hot tub were. Not that we needed the amenities since we had a Jacuzzi in our room that worked perfectly. I will say the wifi was inconsistent. Like the office was where the router was and occasionally the wifi would drop from my phone. Overall it was a nice stay though. Service was top notch. Just inconvenient having the distance between buildings involved

Even though they are undergoing renovations, the staff made extra effort to make sure our stay was comfortable. Great room! Fire place & jacuzzi. Good breakfast in the morning. Would love to stay here again!

Pros: -The people were awesome! -The beds were comfy -The bathtub was wide and really great -Breakfast was good, especially the coffee! -It was quiet and relaxing -Fridge and microwave were great Cons: -I was given keys to an already occupied room -New room was really damp, mold on artwork -Cleaning was insufficient- hair ball behind bathroom door, beverage spill on baseboard behind suitcase holder (i didn't try to look for anything else because i didn't wavy to find anything else!) -AC didn't help with damp sir and was slow to adjust the room temp -Pillows smelled kind of moldy

The property is undergoing upgrades that were not done by the previous owner. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was wonderful and the location is great. We will be returning and can't wait to see the potential of the lodge and resort.

It has new ownership and they are trying to renovate and that leaves the property with an overall look as unkempt. We had a nice large room, a balcony but the wood on the balcony was rotted in areas; the room had an old musty carpet smell and the color scheme was less than appealing but it wasn't filthy, just needing upgrades. The folks there were fantastic, could not have been better! Breakfast was ok but could improve. We were only there 2 nights and we weren't in the room much so overall, it was a decent stay.

The property was undergoing a huge renovation so it was a messy trek. The stay and staff were wonderful. Mathew, at front desk, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

We paid extra to have a room with a balcony but we couldn’t use it. It’s an older hotel that’s being remodeled, which is great, but the AC unit was dripping so much water on the balcony that it was a large puddle you couldn’t avoid. The room has been updated in some ways but the furniture was so sparse that there was only one side table with a lamp between two rooms. The remote for the bedroom TV wouldnt work because it was for a different model of television. And I’ll just not comment about the hairs on the sheets. I’m trying to forget it already. Overall I feel like we were given the most basic and under furnished room because we didn’t book directly thru the hotel. We have stayed here in the past but I think this will be our last.

Staff incredibly helpful.This an old, once upon a time, destination location that has new ownership and management who are restoring and upgrading a large facility which is really good now and getting greater by the day. The area is peaceful and dining great and its a short trip to Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge and other similar attractions.

We stayed 2 nights last week and enjoyed our stay. We had no issues, the room was clean and the property was quiet and we felt it was a good value. We enjoyed the indoor pool too! Would definitely stay here again.

Our overnight stay was much better than anticipated. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff at check-in were great - pleasant, informative and courteous. The breakfast area was the cleanest breakfast area I've ever had at a hotel stay. We will definitely be back, and hopefully soon!

At first we were not happy. Yellow tape was everywhere and the office area was turned up dirt and rocks. They didn’t mention that and it bothered me. HOWEVER, they were super nice at check in. Showed us what was happening with the upgrades Our rooms were super comfortable and very quiet. We judged too fast. Great hotel and we will come back again

We arrive, checked in and went to room. Walked in and room was dirty. Went back to front desk and she was very apologetic. She upgraded our room which was nice. We found new room unloaded and were about to leave for dinner and i noticed that the door wouldnt lock. I called front desk again and she came to check out the situation. We went into the wrong room. It was unlocked. That is how we accessed it. She switched rooms again since it was same kind of room. Slight mix ups but she was very helpful and understanding. We would probably stay again.

Being a last minute decision to stay in the area, I wish we would have made this our first choice. Friendly staff, spacious room, pool and hot tub inside and outside. Could use some updating to areas that arent already being updated.

Beautiful property unfortunately still under renovation, with the operators experiencing the same problems others have in finding sufficient resources to complete the renovations in a reasonable time. Thus the visitor has to pick their way around construction activities to get to the registration desk, problematic for anyone with a disability. Friendly staff, nice breakfast area, great location!

Lamp in the bedroom was not working. Vent in the bathroom was not working as well. Condition of the property was very poor. Because of the construction of the office building it was difficult to find the office during the night. Spent almost 20-25 minutes to find the office. Their office closes at 11pm but Expedia told us they close at 9pm. We reached there at 8.45pm and were scrambling to find the front office. Called the property but nobody picked up. I would not stay there in future.

All I can say positive is that the rooms were clean. Balcony view was of the parking lot. Dated and worn furniture and fixtures. The parking lots were in disarray from construction. Free breakfast was not served. Not as pictured on listing. Worked for a last minute booking but will stay elsewhere next time. Loved the Townsend area.

The first room they had us in was not the cleanest. In particular under the beds. It appeared someone had kicked the door in recently. They tried to work with us but our final morning they decided to cancel the free breakfast. It cost us an additional 20 dollars to buy our own breakfast.

The room and bed were great. The a/c unit was a little noisy but acceptable. The location was not near any nice dining options. We had to drive back to Maryville for late dinner options. If arriving late, eat before you get there.

We only stayed one night so we didn't have time to enjoy all that the property offers. Despite this, we were impressed with the amenities and the property ground. However, the bathroom in our room was barely average. The toilet moved with each use as it was not secured to the ground properly. Additionally, there was no drain plug in the tub making it difficult for bathing a young child. For the price, these are not things that should be overlooked.
