Upon arriving at Windswept, you will be greeted by a large, circular driveway with space for several cars. The outdoor space is immediately noticeable - the outdoor furniture and lawn is available for your private use!
Upon entering you will be greeted by a large, open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. The main floor has many seating options, space to enjoy communally or rooms to take some space and relax! On the main floor there is a gorgeous sun room with cushions to lay out and read a book, practice yoga or meditate. Also on this floor you'll find two of the bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, laundry room and large office if work calls! Upstairs you'll find the other three bedrooms as well as two bathrooms. The lofted hallway overlooks the living room and provides more views of the cove across the street.
Large picture windows from both floors offer stunning views and soft breezes from the stunning Maine coastline which lies just a short walk from your door. Manicured gardens and a large lawn frame the views and invite you to enjoy your morning coffee from the sun room, lunch from the patio, and sunset from the main suite.
The home sits approximately 45 minutes from Acadia National park. Point yourself in the opposite direction to enjoy fewer crowds, and seasonal visitors that have been coming here annually for generations. Nearby Blue Hill (10 minutes) is a quaint Maine town clinging to the waters edge. The smell of Bucklyn Coffee, an incredible local coffee roaster, slinging coffees and local doughnuts through a small window on your way into town is the start of your welcome. The perfectly curated Blue Hill Wine Shop is poised to help you make the perfect pairing, and restaurants offering local fare make your stay taste as good as it looks. If your traveling with young ones, Blue Hill Town Park offers a charming playground perched above a quiet and calm beach, perfect for cooling off or for kids to splash around while you catch up on a few pages of your favorite novel. A thriving art scene offers galleries to peruse and for the art sleuth, an abundance of studios to discover. For your grocery shopping needs, Hannafords and the Blue Hill CO-OP are at your service. Should you care to wander beyond Blue Hill, you are well poised to explore nearby foodie gems such as Acadia House Provisions or Burnt Cove Boil, both in Stonington. The Brooklin Inn & Pub for incredible locally sourced casual fine dining or for European inspired pub vibes. Set on pastoral farmland you'll find Tinder Hearth serving pizza ranked by Food and Wine as best in the state as well as destination worthy bread and pastries, and if your savvy you may land yourself a highly saught after reservations at Aragosta in Deer Isle. If not, you can cheerfully make your way to Perry's Lobster Shack on Newburry neck, or LDI Lobster on Deer Isle for classic Maine lobster shack fair with unrivaled waterfront views. You are also 20 minutes from Downtown Ellsworth where you can visit the LL Bean outlet, visit John Edwards natural grocery in the historic downtown district, eat some of the best Indian food in the North East at Serendip, catch some delish urban cocktails and food fair at Provender, and stock up on all your basic necessities for your stay at multiple grocery and big box stores.
