About this bed and breakfast
Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base! This charming hotel-room style efficiency apartment (no kitchen) is the perfect place for your DC stay!
Just steps to the fun restaurants and nightlife of Adams Morgan, and 2 blocks to Woodley Park. Walk to Dupont, U street, the National Zoo and lots more! Close to the Omni Shoreham, The Line, and Hilton Hotels.
Easy access to public transportation including the metro (red line), many bus routes, and bikeshare.
This apartment is located on Calvert Street between Woodley Park and the lively Adams Morgan neighborhood. Just steps to all the nightlife and restaurants on 18th Street and Columbia Road. Also walk to the National Zoo, U street, Dupont Circle, Cleveland Park, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, and Woodley Park neighborhoods. You can't get a better, more convenient, or more centrally located spot!
The apartment is a very short (5-7 minute) walk to the Omni Shoreham Hotel and The Line Hotel is about 2 blocks away. The Washington Hilton on Connecticut Avenue is about a 10 minute walk. This makes it an ideal location for anyone attending conferences or events at any of these locations.
You can easily access downtown DC and all the sites of the city. Walk to the National Zoo and other attractions.
PLEASE NOTE: Street parking is very hard to find. During the week, all parking in the neighborhood is 2 hour parking or resident only parking. If you choose to park on the street, please pay very careful attention to the signs (they are vigilant about tickets!). We strongly recommend taking public transportation (see Getting Around below). We do have one parking space available at the building. It is $25/night (about half the price of the local garages). If you are interested in parking, let me know, it tends to fill up quickly.
The apartment is just a short walk (less than a half of a mile, about 7 minute walk) over the bridge to the Adams Morgan/Woodley Park metro station (red line) . It is within 2 blocks of multiple downtown bus lines (L2, 96,42,43, etc,) as well as the Circulator bus. Capital Bikeshare is less than a block and Uber or Lyft are always available.
If you need help with public transportation getting to/from the airport or train station, just let us know!
As stated above, street parking for non-residents is VERY limited, we strongly encourage you to take public transportation. There is one parking space that may available at the building. It is $25/night (about half the price of local garages). If you are interested in reserving it, please let me know.
Smoking is strictly prohibited everywhere in the building and on the front porch. This is a small apartment building, please be respectful of your neighbors, by keeping the noise down, even outside of quiet hours.

I was very pleased with the room and it's location to good eating establishments within walking distance. Parking is tight but she does offer a parking spot for an up charge.

I needed a quick one-night stay in DC and this property was perfect. It was conveniently located near a Metro station (about a 5-10 minute walk) and just a few minutes from a nice restaurant and evening activity part of DC. Very comfortable and convenient for my needs.

This was a great room with a very soft and peaceful bed. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The air was great on the super hot days that Washington gave when we stayed. April and her family were very suppportive and helpful. A great place for a couples get away.
