About this house rental
Maryhill is a true gem of a home nestled in the rolling hills of the Cotswold's in the picturesque village of Painswick. With its charming streets, honey-colored stone buildings, and lush green surroundings,it is often hailed as one of the most beautiful and quintessentially English villages in the Cotswold's. Steeped in history and natural beauty, this delightful village offers a captivating blend of heritage, culture, and natural splendor

The space
A substantial family home in a fabulous edge of village location with far reaching valley views, superb large kitchen, 6 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, accessed via a long sweeping drive and enveloped by 2.5 acres of grounds.
Both the location and valley views offered by this spectacular home, are truly exceptional. As you sweep up the long drive and turn the corner to the rear access, you are immediately struck by the substantial presence of the house. Opening into a reception hall with coat cupboard off and leading to a spacious inner hall and cloakroom, the sense of space that runs throughout the home, is immediately apparent. The property has magnificent large windows throughout, creating a wonderfully light home. The kitchen is fitted with cream units and an electric Aga and offers superb valley views. A lovely bright room with ample space and a large table and separate seating area, make this an ideal space for a family get together. Access to the garden and a patio area leads directly from the kitchen, perfect for alfresco dining and entertaining friends.
To the first floor the principal suite has lovely valley views plus an en-suite bathroom. There are four further bedrooms, as well as a family bathroom and separate shower room. The four front facing bedrooms all benefit from magnificent valley views and the fifth rear facing bedroom has a pretty aspect overlooking woodland.
Maryhill's grounds are an absolute delight. Set largely to the front and side of the property, the lawns are gently sloping with mature trees and borders and long sweeping drive. A small orchard is set to the side of the house, with gated access to woodland, The Cotswold Way and Painswick Beacon, offering a magical haven and an idyllic child's 'secret garden.' There is a large patio seating area with Tables and chairs, offering a choice of idyllic spots for morning coffee or evening drinks. There is also ample free private parking, up to 10 cars.
Location - Maryhill's location is one of its greatest assets. Within five minutes drive of the sought after village of Painswick, this impressive home sits in an enviably large plot of circa 2.5 acres, with fabulous far reaching valley views. Everything about this home and its location, exudes space. Frequently referred to as the Queen of the Cotswolds, Painswick has many local amenities including two pubs, small local restaurant, as well as two popular cafes and an arts shop. There is also a well-stocked village shop, chemist and even a highly acclaimed fabric shop. The village is popular with tourists and is well known for the beautiful Rococco Gardens and also its Beacon, a huge expanse of common-land offering a wonderful source of walks and far reaching views to the Malvern Hills and also host to a popular golf course.
Well placed for commuting, Maryhill is a 15 minute drive from Cheltenham, well- known for its many festivals, theatre, racing and excellent shopping. Painswick is circa 90 minutes to London by train, from nearby Stroud mainline station. The M5 motorway is also within easy reach, for commuting to Bristol and the Midlands.

Other things to note
Guest will be asked to digitally sign our company Terms and Conditions and asked for a £200 damage deposit hold on a credit card. This will be a pre authorization/hold. The money wont be taken, it is an authorization that an amount up to this can be taken if there's any damage caused by the guest or anyone from their booking party.
The authorization starts 1 day before your arrival date, and expires automatically 3 days after your departure.
You should receive an email and an sms message with a link to your "Guestflow" portal. This all needs to be completed to receive your lockbox code on the morning of your day of arrival. Please contact us if you have any issues at all with this process. Many thanks.
