About this house rental
Perhaps the most unique waterfront rental home on Lake Marion!! The central courtyard is surrounded by private bedrooms/baths, game room, reading room and laundry. The Large Living room/Dining room and Kitchen provide a great gathering space throughout the day and evening times till you retire to your private sleeping accommodations. The various covered patio areas provide unique private or social gathering places. The large dock and 100' of shoreline can easily moor several boats and/or jet skiis with no wave action on this deep water canal that leads to the popular expansive Taw Caw Creek section of Lake Marion that is known for great boating, inner-tubing and fishing. Just 2 minutes away is the Goat Island Marina and Restuarant with a waterside Tiki Bar. This home is basically midway between I-95 and the Dam on the North side of Lake Marion and is near the Clear Cut Channel that allows safe travel to the South side of the lake. There are a couple of FREE boat ramp launches in the area as well as a ramp at the Goat Island Resort Marina.

**Not clean** and smelly inside, but such a delight outside! (where we spent most of our time) quirky set up with no bathroom in interior part of the house, along with a few other issues, but we made do, after all we were at the lake :)

Wonderful place to stay with a group. Rustic but has everything you need. Very comfortable.

Upon arrival, I noticed the house was not clean. I cleaned the kitchen counters before I set my food on them. The refrigerator and freezer smelled strongly of fish. I bought two taking soda fridge packs and we poured coffee in a bowl to place in them to absorb the odor.
The bedroom inside the living area had dead bugs in the closet and on the carpet. The bathroom showers had hair in them One of the bedrooms had a straw and opened bottle of water. That bathroom was slow to flush and slow shower drain. The re was a shoe and an open bottle of water under the couch.
On the last night we were there, I noticed the kitchen sink gurgling. Shortly afterwards my granddaughter said their shower was backing up. When my son in law checked it, it had sewage backing up in the shower. At this point we were scared to use the bathrooms. We immediately moved our granddaughter out of the bedroom into the living area to sleep.
I texted the property manager to let him know of the sewage situation. I also told him I was unhappy with the condition of the house. He made no apologies for the house. He claimed he had cleaned the house. I guess my idea of clean and his are totally different.
Also we were not expecting the bedrooms and bathrooms to be outside. The setup of the house should be explained in the description for clarity.

First of all the rental property was great for our family. You are able to have privacy as well as all be together. we loved the dock area and enclosed courtyard. Would def rent this again if the beds are updated as they are small double beds and hard to accommodate a couple, we had guests sleep on the main living area couches. Bathrooms are available in each room however the main bedroom inside main living area did not have facilities to use so in middle of night you must go into court yard to use adjoining bathroom. The house was great but required a wipedown of all surfaces esp kitchen before unpacking, also broken glass bottle in bar area that we had to clean brfore the kids arrived. There were dead beetles inside main bedroom closet and no vacuum or mop on premises to tidy up. If you rent in the summer fans are a must.

Its was a nice house we all enjoyed it only needs some minor updates like some extra bathrooms which the manager said was in progress power to dock curved shower curtain rods for a little more room as the showers are small but everything else was great location was a 13 outta 10 supper quiet everyone really had a great time and plenty of room for my group of 13

Property is perfect for a big group. You need to understand the layout of rooms/baths to make sure it works for your group. Loved the courtyard, game room, reading room, backyard, etc. The living room furniture is very comfortable. The large table is very accommodating and kitchen is well stocked with dishes, etc. You do need to take linens and towels which we were informed about. We also had to supply all paper products, which we didn't know prior to arrival. The major downfall is that whoever was cleaning the property didn't. It hadn't been aired out or properly cleaned. The host provided some refund due to the inconvenience of us having to clean enough to make it comfortable. Pillows and a few mattresses could use an upgrade. I would stay at the property again with the understanding that everything was up to standard. There is so much potential. Due to humid conditions and being near the water the house can't be closed up for extended periods of time between rentals. I don't know if this is the first time the property was used as a rental because there were no reviews. Our stay is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of improvements that need to take place for future guest.
